　Every day, I practice my magic behind Tina's back. I also break into your father's study and read the grimoire that he keeps there on a daily basis.

　The grimoires in your father's study are all contents that the original Halt, who just turned five years old, would never understand, but now I'm able to understand them thanks to the fact that my occupation is 'Sage'.

　There were several grimoires written in a language that even I couldn't read. There are a few words in those books that I can understand, and by checking them against the words in other books, I'll be able to read them little by little.

　The book I learned to read perfectly the other day was apparently written in the Ancient Runes, which is considered to be one of the most difficult books in the world.

　I'm cursed by the evil god, my status is fixed. So no matter how much I train, my status will never improve. But I can increase my knowledge by studying.

　I'm going to read books written in the elven language, but I'm going to read my father's book on this. But I only have one book in my father's study and I can't decipher it.

　I'm sure I can work it out if I can get Tina, the half-elf who takes care of me, to teach me, but I've heard that it's unusual for a child of this world's human race to be able to read the Elvish language. They say that Elvish is also a super difficult language for the human race, even if it's not as difficult as ancient Rune language.

　So I gave up on asking Tina.

　When I'm a little older, I'll tell her I'm interested in the language Tina uses and ask her to teach me. I don't have to force myself to learn to read Elvish, since my father's study is full of other grimoires.

''Which book shall I choose today?''

　I have hundreds of books stored in my study. Each book is interesting to me at the moment.

　I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to find the right one.

　This book is a book that Tina read to me when I (Hurt) was about four years old. I was reincarnated in the body of a five year old Halt, but I also have memories of living as Halt until then.

　At the time, Halt was still unable to read the words in the book.

　Now that Haruto has been reincarnated and has become a wise man──.

　It was a bit difficult to read, but it was manageable. The title of the book makes it seem like an introductory book to magic, but it wasn't.

　The basic knowledge that makes up the magic of this world. I'm not sure I've ever seen it before. Even I, who became a sage, found the content a bit difficult to understand.　

　Tina had taken what was really important from the book and read it to me in a way that even a four year old could understand it in detail. Once again, I feel that Tina is very capable.

　Thanks to her reading this book to me, I now have a base knowledge of magic.

　Probably, there will be a difference in the power of magic in the future between understanding this book and not understanding it. It was such an important grimoire.

'Wow, this book is amazing. Who in the world...

　I was curious about the author of the book and looked at the last page.

　There was a reason why he(...) woman(...) understood the book perfectly and was able to explain it in a way that even my then four-year-old me could understand.
