600 Episode 600: Respect for gathering, disturbing approaching.txt

-- A few more days after the exchange of ideas with Theodore, I was visiting the Adventurer's Guild Branch, located on the fifth level of the "Sundial Forest".

Strictly speaking, I had an errand to run at the Hollow Bottom branch of the White Wolf Store, which is rented out to a section of the guild branch.

Accompanying them were the usual Garnett and another person, Erica, a potion maker.

''Sorry, we had to ask you to help us carry the goods.
Don't worry about it. It's all part of the job description.

As the three of us walked through the guild branch, which was originally a fortress, we continued to exchange chit-chat to pass the time on the move.

I know it's too late to tell you this after you've come this far though. You should have hired an adventurer with the shop's money to carry it.
I've been thinking about that. It was a bit of a rush job and I couldn't wait until I heard back from you to accept the request.
But don't try to go alone with that big-ass backpack on your back. It was so great that I did a double take a look at it.
Ugh, ......, I thought it might work.

I watch Garnett and Erica's backside quietly from behind for a bit as they converse like boys and girls their age.

Inside the backpack we're carrying are several glass containers filled with bottled potions, along with a cloth to serve as a buffer.

At first, Erica was about to head to the branch office, carrying all of the luggage that the three of us were sharing on her back all by herself.

When Garnett and I saw that, we decided to share the luggage with her because we thought it would be hard work indeed.

The three of us went straight to the branch office to deliver the large amount of potions that had been ordered and decided to breathe a sigh of relief with a literal weight lifted from our shoulders.

''Whew ...... it looks like there's still something on my shoulder,''
If I'd come alone, I'd have been waiting for you to pass out.
As expected, you won't get lost. Even Sylvia comes and goes as a matter of course.

Erica was right, this 'Sundial Forest' was an exceptionally safe place among the many dungeons.

Because it is an open-type dungeon with no ceiling, for a while after it was discovered, people didn't even notice that it met the definition of a dungeon, and the residents of Green Hollow had even entered it in search of good quality medicinal herbs without a care in the world.

As expected, right after it was discovered that it was directly connected to the Demon King's Castle Realm, it was considered dangerous, but as a result of things like the construction of the Golden Fang Knights' fortress, it could even be said that it was safer than before.

There are also a lot of people on the streets, as well as the patrol route of the Silver Winged Knights in charge of maintaining security, so it is unlikely that you will be caught in danger if you don't leave the daytime and well-maintained roads.

As I walked through the branch with that in mind, various people approached me from here and there.

 -- usually me.

They ask questions about the weapon store's selection and inventory, or how satisfied they are with their products, and sales pitches asking if they can carry their own products as well.

Some adventurers ask for information about exploring the deepest part of the dungeon, while others invite me to return as a member of their party.

Some of the town residents jokingly ask for a tax break because I'm the nominal lord of Green Hollow, but unfortunately, the town government, including the tax rate, has been left to the town hall, so there's no point in having them complain about it unless they complain to me.

'As usual, our manager is a celebrity. I don't know a single person in this town who doesn't know your face.

Garnett laughed at that teasingly, but he also seemed to be feeling vaguely happy about it.

'I'm not the only one who's famous. For example, see: ......'

The young adventurers come running up to me from where I'm looking at them.

Garnett and Erica seemed to think that they were naturally trying to talk to me too, but it wasn't me who was in their line of sight.

'Ow! Um, you're Erica from Walnut Street, right!
'What ...... eek! Me?
'Thank you! Oh no, I can't tell you how many times Erica's medicine has helped me already!
'No, no, it's not like I'm doing anything great: ...... awwww ......'

To the adventurers who express their gratitude with their mouths, Erica can only blush and gasp in a huff.

I'm not proud of it, but the White Wolf Store is a fairly well-known shop in Green Hollow, and the medicines that Erica makes are the best-selling products on par with Noir's magic tools.

Unlike weapon armor, which has a slow pace of replacement, medicines are consumables.

It's a good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for when you're in the marketplace.

For Erica herself, even if she was just one of many customers, the one who was saved by the potion made a strong impression on her.

''Well then, I'll stop by the store again!

After the young adventurers left, Erica stood frozen and unmoving slightly, her face flushed and her expression distorted.

''d*mn, if you're going to have your own store in the future, you should at least get used to this, right? Take a lesson from White Wolf's, okay?
'Yi...... No, no, no, this was a surprise, or rather ...... I mean Garnett! You think it's somebody else's business, and you're smiling at me! This happens to you too!
It's impossible. It doesn't exist on the other side.

I don't know if it's my sister (Alma) - such a supplement is hidden in the rest of Garnet's words.

'Yea, there is! For example, see: ......

Another group of people are approaching from the direction Erica turned her head.

However, they are clearly different from the previous group.

This is because that group was the members of the Golden Fang Knights who governed the defense of the fortress.
