389 # 370 Demon King Bael Event Announcement.txt

Back at Reaping, Setia pursues him. But I'm embarrassed, so I'll keep the contents to myself.

Then Mel and the others are at Lee Pring.

'Ah! It's my brother!

That's unusual. I can't believe you're back at this hour.

"...what are you doing? Brother?

I've just invaded a mangrove forest and made a grimoire.

Then Recca holds his head up.

''Why would you make a grimoire before a mage...''

That was a prep job.

I mean, what's with the paper and all? They don't sell them, do they?

I made the pulp from sugar cane in a paper machine.

I explained it to him, but it didn't seem to make sense to Lekka. I didn't know the details either. In case you're wondering, Rekka asked me to sell it to him, but I rejected it because I used it quite a bit.

Then he asked me to take a look at the grimoire and I showed it to him.

'Oh! I'm floating! ...ya!

Lisa jumped at me, so I moved her up and ducked.

'Mm! Hey! Taa! Duh! You're mean, brother!

I tease Lisa and she gets mad at me. Then Lily comes in.

'Tact! Lilly wants to play too!

I'm not playing!

Peace. Then the conversation turns to the info I mentioned earlier.

'Sounds like a tricky event. If you haven't seen it yet, we can talk about it when you see it.

So check out the contents.

Operation Event "Island Stealing Battle": difficulty level A+
This event is for 500 players. You can apply for membership in advance. Member application period is until Sunday. If you are not a member, you will be chosen at random.
Players will be placed on the first island, and they will have to conquer the five islands controlled by the Demon King Bael.
Points will be shared by all players. Players who do not log in during the event will not receive points.
The experience gained in battle will be applied only to the player who fights.
Despensers will only be banned from logging in for 8 hours. Points will not be lost and items will not be lost, but you will not receive experience in combat, so please be careful.
When a boss appears, monsters will appear and come to defend the island and capture the player's island. If a monster takes over a captured island, the boss will revive and the island will belong to the monster. The number of monsters on the boss's island will increase as time passes.
If a monster takes over the starting island, the game will be lost.
The event will last 9 days.
If you have 100 members, you will be able to visit the first island before the event.
You can bring your own items to the island.
The event will be accompanied by shipbuilding events in various locations.
Certain weapons and armor will have special effects.

Well, that certainly sounds troubling.

Did you read it?

Yeah.

Rekka explains again.

'To put it simply, it's a game of nation-stealing. You have to capture more and more islands, and if you reach the last island and capture it, you win.

What's different about this game than a normal game of national security is that we use ships. I think you might have an advantage over Mr. Tact, who has Saffy.

'Right. Another event with a summoner's advantage, huh~

Kago says so, but does it really work?

"...my brother doesn't think the summoner has an advantage.

'Does it bother you that I'm recommending a ship?'

'You know what I mean... it's more like the role of summoners and beast handlers is to protect the ship. As far as I know, summoners and beastmasters are the ones who can deal with underwater warfare.

I'm actually escorting Mr. Sharrow and the others. And I can destroy the ship, so that's what the enemy will be after. If we lose the ship, we lose our means of transportation. I'm sure you'll be very successful, Mr. Yug. Speaking of which, I don't see Mr. Ruin and the others.

'Ruin-san has real life commitments too, so he can't always be there.

Yeah, that too.

But there are too many of them this time.

'I'm sure Luin's mail is flooding in right now. I'm sure your choice of members will be pretty important too.

Do you think that wizards and archers have an advantage in ship combat?

I guess. It's just that the boss fight is like an island battle, so that doesn't mean we can't play a role.

Right. The rest of the points are the first island you can go to and the shipbuilding event. I'm sure the fact that it's written in such a way gives them an advantage.

This is the first time we've been able to bring in items.

So that's one thing... can you bring in a recovery item? There's no way it's only because of that.

''I think it's because there's an event advantage item... but it's not that... maybe.

'There's a limited amount of inventory. I think it's going to be important who takes what and how much of it.

You have to think about not only the members, but also the items you bring in... it's tough.

'What does your brother think of the rough members?'

'I think it's basically 400 combat jobs and 100 production jobs, but I think it could possibly be split 50/50.

That's a tough one...

That may be an exaggeration, sure, but that's how important I think this event is going to be for production jobs.

'I guess I agree with Tact... if this is a full-blown game of nation-building, securing supply lines is going to be important. And more importantly, there's a level of fullness in this game.

If they cut off the supply line, it means you won't have a full stomach and the monsters will just get you...

But then, doesn't that make it all the more important that we have combat personnel to protect?

So Kago was right... with the defense of the base, it's a big deal. Holy shit. In the end, after talking with Mel and the others, we decided that it's important to assign each of us a role in this event. We don't know what it's going to be like yet, you know.

Now, I'm going to test the grimoire in the underground training camp. Mel and the others are there to observe.

I'm going to float the grimoire and give them magical instructions. Hmmm... For now, just use the blitz.

Blitz!

A magic circle is drawn on the grimoire and a blitz is released. It really does activate without a voice, doesn't it? I'm going to try more simultaneous chanting. Two magic circles appear.

"Blitz!

"Sonic Moves.

Oh! It really is two at once! So can you do this?

"Blitz.

"Sonic Moves.

Continuous chanting was no problem. I could also do delayed magic.

I take out my scarlet ring and imagine the battle. I shake the Scarlet Ring, and finally the grimoire releases a blitz and it's over. I was scared... the Scarlet Ring's chant break is also effective. Hmm... it feels obvious... okay!

Waving the scarlet ring, I tried to attack with the grimoire, but I wasn't satisfied. It's still difficult...I can't help but feel that my eyes are moving when I attack the grimoire. I'm not going to be able to get my hands on any of them. I want to do something about it.

'That guy in tact... he's tilting his head at that one.

...because my brother is very idealistic and surprisingly stubborn.

That's why I got into it, you know?

I feel like Mel and the others are giving me a weird assessment... it's no use. Let's find some time to sneak in some training.

Then I thought about planting a water tree, but Mir stopped me.

'If you're going to plant a water tree, you'll have to buy a new piece of land and turn it into a pond or lake. We can manage the water to a certain extent, but there's a limit to what we can do.

'Hmm... if we built a lake, would it be possible to build a channel out of it and let it flow into a field?'

'I think that's a great idea! The vegetables and trees will love the water from the water tree.

It sounds like it's going to save me a lot of watering, so I'll just have to try it.

I think we're talking about agrarian reform. The Tact guy.

I think it's going to be rough, but...

'In the meantime, I'm going to tell Tact-kun to talk to Ruin-san and Yuna-san about it... because if he doesn't, he's going to go off on his own.

Am I the only one who thinks that tact has long since gone out of control?

The answer was that they were all silent at Rekka's words.
