126-125. Who is a werewolf

What?

As I followed Higuchi out in a hurry, I saw a horrific scene unfold outside.
A wolf-headed, hairy, wolf-like fellow of about three meters in stature......was holding a human in each arm, biting into one of the throat flutes.
The other human was already dead with bite marks on his neck.
The two victims were completely unmarked mobs in my mind.

'This guy is awesome! So if you use the ability of werewolfing, no one is your enemy!

Judging from the way the werewolf is being beaten down, it seems that the werewolf side is given the ability to transform into a werewolf.

Hmm, could this be by any chance?
 ............Ah, I knew it.
In other words, this otherworldly werewolf game was at the point where I joined........

'Haha! If the point is to get fewer villagers, then it's easy! Let's just kill all of them except those who we know are werewolves!

Hmm, well... What shall we do?
Before I can enjoy it or not, the whole otherworldly werewolf thing went bankrupt as soon as I saw the trick from my point of view.
I'm on the villager's side, so let's just kill this werewolf for now.
After that, I don't know what to do...I can't think of any interesting ways to destroy it, so I'll just go with the flow.

Oh, come on. It's boring to have someone as short-sighted as you, isn't it?

While he was contemplating his next action, Misaki stepped out in front of the werewolf and looked up at the huge body in dismay.

''Ahh? Then you're next. Get ready for it!

The werewolf threw the corpse and danced on Misaki.
However, Misaki avoided the werewolf's quick grab with a paperweight.

''For now, let's just let them be quiet.

And where did he take it out from, he thrust the silver dagger in his hand into the werewolf's flank in a counter-like manner.

''Ow, ow! Why, why.........the attack shouldn't work!
'The werewolf's weakness is the silver weapon. Did you check the werewolfing data properly? You didn't, did you? If you had, you wouldn't be doing something so stupid, would you?

The werewolves are furious and rampaging, but they don't faze Misaki, who immediately pauses.

I'm sure you'll be hung for coming out as a werewolf. And I was attacked by a werewolf, so I'm on the villager's side as well, is there any problem? Oh, and by the way, the only reason I know the werewolf data and can bring in silver weapons is because I'm a repeat participant who's participated before. Believe me or doubt me, feel free to do so. And for the time being, everyone on the villager's side, just point to the werewolf and say "hang". That will stop the movement and that guy will die.
...Oh, I see!
'Well I don't know, I don't know, but I can just point to it anyway!
Okay.

The first to follow Misaki's instructions was Dr. Werewolf Otaku-kun.
A little later, a high school girl and Higuchi.
When I pointed at the werewolf, the others sparsely started pointing at it as well.

''Noooooooo! What is this? I can't move, eh!

Then something like a rope appeared from space and tied up the werewolf's entire body.
The rope also hung around his neck.

'You've already been 'hung' for sure. So I'm going to die. Then, if you have a will, go ahead.
'You're lying! I'm....I'm here...! Come on, werewolves, follow me! If I kill all of these guys right away, I'll be able to live again too!!!

Several of them looked at each other hesitantly, but eventually pointed their fingers at the werewolf.

'You guys! You left me for dead! I'll never forgive you!

The screams cease with a snap as the rope around his neck tightens.
All that is left is a hapless, gallic corpse that has been thrown out on the ground with its rope and werewolfing untied.

''It's dead. Really dead.........
'Hahaha... what do I do, I can't think of anything to do with my head...'

The werewolf otaku and the high school girl were completely deflated and on their asses.
The tragedy that happened in front of my eyes is too exciting for normal Japanese people, isn't it?
I thought they were going to scream and run away, but the reactions of the other guys were very similar...they didn't seem to be able to recognize the reality.

In the midst of all this, Higuchi took a deep breath and then clasped his hands together, then approached the Gaten-type who was a werewolf and his victim and held up his hands.

''........Werewolf, right. The victim is a villager. Well, I guess I don't need to check.......
Oh, you're a medium! The fact that you have a position means that unless someone else comes out, you're a confirmed villager!

The werewolf otaku calls out to Higuchi to get his own attention, but Misaki shakes his head.

'No. No. I'm sorry. Unfortunately, we don't know that. It's a very good idea to have a good idea of what you want to do with it, because you know from the start who is a villager and who is a werewolf, so you can cheat on as many positions as you want. You can figure out what abilities each position has when you become a werewolf. Incidentally, it's completely random how many positions there are, and in the otherworldly werewolves I've participated in, there's a fortune teller, a medium, and a hunter out of 13, one or two each. So even if any other medium comes out, we can't be sure if they are villagers or werewolves.

Misaki tries to make the others understand what's going on by making it all sound at once.
Obviously, this is information that the werewolves don't want you to know, but it is beneficial to the villagers.
Higuchi was the first to react.

''It looks inexplicably suspicious on the outside, but it sounds like it's true that you're a repeat customer.
You can believe or not believe what you hear now, that's your choice. If you doubt it, you can call Capiel and see if he's right. He'll know I'm telling the truth.

There certainly doesn't seem to be any lies.
From the villager's point of view, it's reliable, but that's why the other guys don't see it as a werewolf trying to gain credibility.

And as you can see, whoever the majority of the survivors point to will die of 'hanging' at that point. So if you think he's a werewolf, you can kill him if you vote at any time you like, just because you think he's a werewolf.
What ... isn't 'hanging' usually done once a day?

Misaki cowered at the werewolf otaku's question.

'There's no limit to the number of times you can do that. It's a good idea to make sure that you're not going to have to worry about it. The fortune teller, who can determine whether a person is a werewolf or a villager, only activates his or her fortune telling in the early morning, so unless something like this happens, hanging is only once a day. There is no limit to the number of autopsies for "mediums". The opponent designated by the Hunter will be invincible to werewolf attacks. However, you can't protect the same person for two days in a row, and the hunter can't protect himself, so it's best not to come out unless there's something very wrong.

''So, let me make a suggestion to everyone right away. Why don't you two give it a try?

The Shibuya-type couple of men and women who were suggested by Misaki freaked out.

'Nah, why not?!'
Yeah, I know. On what basis?
'Werewolves are unconsciously swarmed. When the guy from earlier was confirmed hung and left a will, the two guys there didn't point at the werewolf until the end. And they were making eye contact with each other about what they were going to do.

The couple men buzzed at Misaki's point of view and shook their heads.

''That's bullshit!
'No, I saw that too. Those two guys over there weren't sure if they were going to hang that guy until the end.

The couple turned blue at my covering fire.

'You say that and you're all in on it! Listen to all the villagers, they're the werewolves!
Wait!

Higuchi interrupted the flurry of activity.

''If any of you are called fortune-tellers, raise your hand here.

 No one came out.
And if Misaki's explanation was true, the fortune teller would be attacked for sure.
And maybe one of the people killed earlier could be the fortune teller.
 Okay, for now--

I'm the fortune teller.

He raised his hand and came out.

''Well there's not another one? If we have a hunter with us, at least we'll be safe today, so we can come out, right?

Higuchi confirms to all of us as if he is troubled.
I can say that it's natural since it's hard to tell the truth when I'm a fortune teller in conflict with a couple, but in the end, the other fortune teller didn't show up.

'Could it have been one of the two people who were killed...? It's not a choice. The hunter will have to protect him on day one. So why don't you four settle down for a moment? At least one of them has been able to hang a werewolf. For now, I'm going to divine one of these two. Is that all right?
No, it's fine.

Misaki surprisingly backed off easily at Higuchi's suggestion.

'd*mn it, you're making people suspicious all of a sudden.
I don't like it.

The couple seems to be reluctant to do so, but the contradiction is settled.

Oh, and by the way, everyone can sleep in the building of their choice at night. The villagers are not allowed to go out of the building during the night, and only one person per building is allowed to enter. The villagers are not allowed to leave the building at night, and only one person per building is allowed to enter. And a werewolf can only open one door per day. So, in principle, only one werewolf is killed a day. As long as some mindless idiot like before doesn't show up. So now you might as well decide in the meantime where you're going to sleep. Well, I'll be over there. Bye.

With a wave of his hand, Misaki walked into the house.
As he did so, he made some kind of eye contact with me... but I pretended not to notice it.
The other guys talked for a while about what was going on, but eventually they went into their respective buildings that they decided to go into.

At the end, Higuchi and I were the only ones left.
In the center of the building where we had all gathered earlier, there were firewoods laying out in the middle of the building, and as the sky was rapidly turning red, the fire was lit on its own.

I don't know why I'm doing this...

Higuchi snorts to himself around the flames.

'As I said, summoning another world is luck. Our convenience is not taken into account at all. You have no choice but to accept it for the time being, assuming you were in a car accident or something. The only thing to fight against is afterwards.
Well. Well.....

When Higuchi heard my personal opinion, he exhaled deeply, as if he understood something.

'What's your name, Anta?'
Hagiwara Hagiwara. It's Ryuji Sakagagi.
Well, as you probably know by now, I'm Higuchi Mario.

Higuchi huffed as if he realized something.

''Well maybe it's weird for me to say this, but I'm grateful to you. Let's survive together.
Yeah.

Thus, the first day was over.
 There were 10 people left.
7 villagers and 3 werewolves left from the village perspective.

 The next day.
Time is moving fast, but it's probably about 3 hours in terms of experience time.

Everyone's attention--only the businessman said, "Leave me alone! And he didn't come out of the house while he was holed up in the house - but he came out of the house to gather with me.
Not the house where I slept last night, but the house of the guy who didn't show up at the meeting place in the morning and, unlike the businessman, didn't respond when I knocked on his door.
On behalf of the villagers, I had come to check on the body.

'How did it go?'
Yeah, he's dead.

To the werewolf wannabe's fearful confirmation, I replied quite simply.

'This is the relic.'

They all gasped when they saw the bloody gas mask that they took out of the bag in their hands.
There was no body, but there was a tremendous amount of blood left behind.
It must have been killed quite horribly by the werewolves.

'If he was killed, then Misaki must have been a villager.

Killing Misaki, who hadn't come out of his position, was probably because he was still wary of repeaters.
Well, the one the werewolf side really had to be wary of was me.

''So, which one did you divine?''

Higuchi looks at the Shibuya-type couple and asks me.

'The results of the fortune telling--'

After a beat, I tell him clearly.
Pointing to one man who was intent on flagging something up.

'Higuchi Mario was a werewolf.
