1165 Episode 1165

The goblin carcasses spread out in the meadow... where Ray and Sett, among others, were hunted out by this request.
Smells of blood, internal organs and fluids from goblins spread around them, and they stink strongly in the air heated by the sun only on summer afternoons.
Spring and autumn... I don't think it would have smelled this bad in a cool morning.
Despite the stench, adventurers are gathering together without particular concern.
The sharpest snuffed set of them gave a faintly unpleasant cry, but still could bear it compared to the zombie undead.

"And here's the state of things... what do you do?"

The first person to speak was the youngest... the highest-ranked adventurer, Ray.
Normally, Ray, who is still in his mid-teens, should not be able to take the initiative in the story.
But those here know what Ray is like, and most importantly, they see him attacking from behind a flock of goblins with the magic of fire or with the firebreath of Seto.
If you look at it, you'll have to admit who's the best of all.

"No matter what you say... you can't leave it like this, can you? If you leave it like this, it will definitely rot and smell, and monsters and animals may come for goblin meat. Above all, there is a risk of undeading."

When the adventurer mutters with the hammer in his hand, others nod back, saying they agree.

"Then shall we burn it?"

 Everyone nods to Ray's words.
Every adventurer here has his or her own skill.
Naturally, we understand that pretending to strip the goblin of its material does not earn much for its labor.

"Nobody seems to disagree..."Oh, yes! I'll take one of the Goblin leaders' magic stones, will you mind?"

No one gives a negative opinion to Ray, who asks.
It's because everyone understands how well Ray has worked against a flock of goblins.

"Nobody can complain if Ray gets it, if only the goblin leader's magic stone."

One of the adventurers nods... Ray keeps the bodies of several goblin leaders in a mistling.
The body of the goblin leader is evidence of his request by submitting it to the guild.

"But is it okay to just use magic stones? Goblin leaders have some material?"
"No, I only need a magic stone. I'll leave this corpse to you. The rest will be the reward you get from the guild."

Ray's words make other adventurers seem a little happy.
To be honest, Ray is right to say that he threw the goblin leader's corpse to another face because he was too lazy to dismantle it... but the other adventurers don't seem to understand it.

"Then I've put the body of the goblin leader in storage, and I'll clear the body of the goblin." You don't mind?"

After confirming and making sure everyone has no objection, Ray spins a spell with a death size in his hand.

'Fire, burn up those who die from my magic. Cleanse yourself with all your heart and fire. resentment, bitterness, envy, hatred All of it has no meaning before my magic. Flames burn away even vengeance. Take my magic and go back to heaven.'

A blue flame is produced on a death-size stonemate.
I stabbed the stonemate into the ground... The magic is done.

"The Flame of Funeral"

Blue flames running across the ground envelop the body of the goblin, which eventually crumbles.
Watching the scene, Ray feels that the magic inside him has consumed a great deal.
Originally, this magic has elements of sacred attributes as well as flame attributes.
Therefore, Ray, who was originally only qualified for fire attributes, used the magic forcefully, and the exhaustion of magic was tremendous.
Ray's magical powers, which would be second to none in the world, consume a fraction of the magic just once.
Is it easy to understand if a qualified wizard manages to do the same thing with the greatest amount of electricity produced by a nuclear power plant...?

"Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh..."

manage to catch one's breath while exhaling hard
Seeing Ray like that, Seto rubbed his face against him with an anxious purring.
an attitude of "Are you all right?"
The adventurers around them did not notice Ray or Sett, but were fascinated by the sight... by the blue flames.
It's only natural to have a red perception of fire.
For them, the blue flame was nothing but a wonder.
Maybe it's just my imagination that the body of the goblin is going to collapse.

"Oh, hey... this..."

One of the adventurers who had been blinded by the blue flame only says it.
The voice enabled others to move.

"How can I put this... fantastic." That expression is not enough."
"Oh,"

Each gasps with admiration, watching the bodies of the goblins disappear one after another.
a flock of goblins led by several goblin leaders
A herd of around a hundred is the carcass of hundreds of goblins.
Some goblins managed to escape, but not so many.
That is to say, there were nearly a few hundred goblins burning in blue flames in front of adventurers.
With so many burning blue, it would never be an overstatement to describe it as fantastic as one of the adventurers said.
Such a fantastic sight will disappear when the burning thing is gone.
When the blue flame died out, there was nothing left around that reminded me of the corpse of a goblin.

"Now that the Goblin affair is over, why don't we go back to Guild soon? We need to report to the Guild, and maybe other herds are approaching him."

Ray's voice must have brought him back to life. The adventurers hastily prepare to return home and head for the carriage.

"Mr. Ray, are you... not that you have to get into a carriage?"

One of the adventurers turns to Ray, who is caressing Seto, and agrees.
Ray can travel on a set because he sees it with his own eyes.

"Oh, go ahead," I'll go with Seto."

 That reminds me of Hester.

(I hated Goblin, and I don't think it was strange to accept this request. Well, it was during the day, and I might have accepted my request.)

"What's the matter?"
"Oh, no. It's nothing. If anyone wants to hang in Set, I can take him with me. What shall I do?"
"...what? Do you want to hang? Don't you want to ride?"

The man exclaimed with joy at Ray's words, "Can I ride the set!" but soon realized that what he said was hanging rather than riding.

"Oh, I'm afraid Seto basically doesn't put me on his back. Instead, I can carry him with my forefeet."
"Ah... no, I'm going in a carriage."
"Really? Well, I don't force you to do it."

"Well, never mind. Vihela may be back soon, and we may be back, too.
"Gruly!"

The Goblin herds that approached Gillum were not the only ones who fought here.
That would have been natural given that several goblin leaders had overthrown them.
Vihela, who, like Ray, has more combat power than ordinary adventurers, has been sent to deal with a different flock of goblins than Ray.
Vichela had intended to go with Ray, but as long as she couldn't get on the set, she had no choice but to travel in a carriage, and there was no room for a carriage that could be rented out of the guild.
The destruction of the goblin herd was half-decided, especially as Ray headed for it, and it could have been to build more soldiers.
Of course, it was a request from the guild, and Dusker, as lord of the manor, sent his knights.

Vichela could have borrowed a horse instead of a carriage to go down to Ray by herself... and decided that there would be no need to go that far, so Vichela quietly went to another flock of goblins.
And Ray doesn't think Vichela will do anything about the goblin herd... so he decides that it's time to go back to Gillum.

"Here we go,"

 Rey straddles Seto's back.
Seto cries happily at Ray's appearance and runs up into the air after a few steps of running.

(Come to think of it, the body of the goblin was left intact when I went with Hester, but are you all right? ... Well, it would have been inevitable if the pump was kept at that rate. I just hope they are eaten by animals and other monsters.)

Moreover, since it was in the forest, there was a prediction that there would be no damage to the guillem even if it was undead.
Ray's prediction is that he will probably be knocked down by a higher monster.

"We'll get by there, won't we?" Oh, I see you."

Seth, who flies in the air, naturally arrives at Gillum much earlier than those who travel by carriage.
When you land a short distance from the main gate, a guard approaches you through the main gate.
Usually the guards are waiting at the main gate, but the only way it moves is because they were interested in Ray's actions... specifically in the flock of goblins approaching Gilm.

"When Ray is back, you've already knocked down the goblins, haven't you? What was it like?"

Ray's tone of faith in dealing with the goblins... even if they were herdsmen.
It's only natural that you understand Ray's ability.
In fact, it was Ray's best way of fighting against a large army of nothing.

"There were a few goblin leaders, each leading a flock, and they said. I brought the body of the Goblin leader, but he burned it all."

Ray didn't feel the need to teach him that much, though he was right to burn the corpse so that it wouldn't be undeaded.
If I were to explain it to the guild, I would say that this would be enough for me to explain it to the guards.

"Well, I've burned it... I've heard there are quite a few... but it's only known as crimson."

The guard was momentarily dumbfounded when he was told that he had burned everything in the goblin, but immediately looked convinced.
In fact, it's only natural given Ray's strength.

"And yet, a flock of goblins?" If this were a large herd, it would be easier to deal with. It's troublesome to see so many small groups."

Ray also nods back to the guard's words.
If there's only one big army somewhere, it's good to send Ray to destroy the flock at once.
However, if so many small groups are allowed to move freely, they must find each group before they can be knocked down.

(They say it's stupid to disperse troops, but this is a bad move.)

I thought about it as I spoke to the guards and finished the process of entering Gilm.
