1530 the fifteenth and thirtieth

"...well, after all, this is what it is it?

Ray mutters unimpressed in front of the five robbers who have fallen to the ground.
Ray's fighting ability is already worthy of being called an outsider.
It was only natural that such opponents could easily be knocked down with bare hands, even if they did not have a set, death size, or twilight spear.

"Well, thank you. You're strong. I'm surprised and saved you."

From where Ray came running, a man who had just passed by appears.
a young man in his late teens and early twenties ...however, it would be a delicate feeling to be called young by Ray, who looks younger.
Ray shakes his head at such a man, telling him not to worry.

"There's no problem with this kind of person. But why would you be attacked by a thief in such a place? If you were walking down the street, you wouldn't be attacked by a thief, would you? This is near Rossi."

More precisely, it's a highway between Rossi and Mejogo, which is essentially Jaya-dominated, let alone ostensibly.
To be honest, Ray couldn't believe that some of the thieves were committing such acts at Jaya's knees.

"No matter what you say... I didn't do anything special. I was walking down the street and these people attacked me."

While he wonders a little about the man's refined way of speaking, Ray stops pursuing any further.

(Well, it's like being a commoner of a noble family or ain't it's like that. ...it's not that I have to get involved in it, you know.)

Leaving the man there, Ray approaches the unconscious bandits again.

"Oh, it's dangerous!"
"Don't worry, these guys are completely out of their senses, and if they wake up and attack us, we can deal with it anyhow. --you see that I should not be so anxious, too, since you have seen me defeat them.
"That's... it may be...

Ray's words make the man mumble.
In fact, Ray defeats the robbers who attack him... and that's what he sees with his own eyes.
It's bare hands and no weaponry.
But... it's no use worrying about Ray's appearance.

"Is this all the thieves? How many others were there?"
"Well, to be honest, I don't know about it. I don't think there was anyone else."

As long as it was ruled by Jaya, the roads that men naturally used were one of the safest in the country of Levulina.
 It's a cynical consequence.

"Well, then, I don't think I can expect much profit."

There are very few bandits among the five of us in Ray's eyes.
It would be more appropriate to describe it as a rip‐off than a band of thieves.
That's why Ray, whose hobby is hunting for thieves, was honestly asking if he had expected much less money.

"Well... make money?"
"Oh, these guys are bandits. Then don't you think it's okay to be taken away by others, because you're taking them away from them?"
"What... what... what... what should I say in these cases?"

A man who looks bewildered when he realizes that Ray is trying to rob the thief of his property.
and, if he had the right eye, he seemed quite accustomed to defeating the robbers and robbing them of their money.
The man is surprised to see Ray take away the men's weapons and put them in a mistling.
But he manages to suppress the surprise and speaks to Ray, who has tied the men up.

"Well, thank you very much for helping me this time." My name is Lutus. if you don't mind telling me your name?"
"Huh? Oh, it's Ray. He's a true adventurer of the kingdom of Milliana. Now I'm staying in Rossi for a little business."

Rutus' expression on Ray's face gives me a slight surprise.
I thought Ray was strong, but I don't think he was an adventurer of the kingdom of Milliana.
If you're not an adventurer of the Kingdom of Lavrellina, but you think you're an adventurer of neighboring countries, it's only natural that you're actually an adventurer of the Kingdom of Mileana.
Responding to Lutus, Ray kicks the fainting five men up.
I didn't mean to break my bones, but I'm sure the bruised area will turn blue... as powerful a kick as you can easily imagine.

"Oh!"
"Oops!"
"It hurts!"
"Oh my gosh!
"Oh, my God!"

Each wakes up screaming in pain.
Then he realizes he is bound and turns his eyes to Ray, who has done it.

"Do you think you can do this to us?"

A bearded man threatens Ray, perhaps the five leaders.
Ray must have thought he could do as he pleases, partly because he was short.
But... of course there is no reason for Ray to listen to his orders.

"I don't think it's so strange that adventurers hunt robbers, but as long as you're working as thieves, you're prepared to do so?"
"Well, that's..."

After Ray's mouth made the word hunting seem like nothing, he finally decided that the person in front of him was not just a thing.
The leader's attitude is a little frightening.
However, it may be that he is slow to realize that he was unconscious by Ray's attack.

"Now that we understand each other's relationship, the first question is. Oh, of course, if you don't answer the question, you'll have a hard time of it, and that's what I mean."

She says, taking a dagger out of the mystery ring.
 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Shake the dagger in your hand lightly.
But the dagger, shaken without any particular force, makes a sharp sound around it as if it were cutting through the air itself.
It was the original owner of the dagger who first turned pale when he heard the sound of such a wailing dagger.
I can tell because it's the dagger I've used up until now.
To make that kind of wind noise, you have to be a little bit... at least a person with an order of magnitude different from yourself.
When he sees one of these men, Ray puts a small smile on his face... the point of a dagger at the man he seems to be the leader of.

"Well, I'm going to ask you a question. Well, you don't have to answer... in that case, fingers, ears, nose, eyes... in some cases, hands and feet, so be careful."

Ray, who tells you so, is a natural, completely unassisted person.
That's why the robbers who hear it feel a chill down their spine.
That's because I've come to understand that the words that come out of Ray's mouth are not threats, but from the bottom of my heart.
Seeing the robbers, Ray pauses and opens his mouth again, as if he had noticed something.

"Oh, I'll leave you my tongue in case I can't give you any information."

What do you want me to be relieved by that word? That would be the unanimous opinion of the bandits, except Ray, including Lutus, who was listening to themselves.
But of course Ray does not show that and takes a step forward with a dagger in his hand.
One step... I really only took one step, but that was enough to break the hearts of the thieves.

"Well, I'll let you know everything, so forgive me!"

The bandit leader, who had been intimidating Ray until recently and even insulted him, immediately tells him so and bows to forgive him.
When Ray sees such a man, he looks surprised.
Ray's plan was to make the leader look painful and let the original owner of the dagger release the information.
But in reality, the leader easily surrenders all before Ray does anything.
However, since he intended to hurt the leader, it is not surprising that he surrendered first and foremost.
Anyway, Ray opens his mouth as he looks at the leader-like man who spouts information.

"Well, first of all... are you all?"
"Yes, all five of us,"

a man who speaks without a moment's hesitation
It seemed as if anyone could understand that even for a few seconds, they would not know what to do if they hesitated.

"You don't belong to Jaya because you're working in a place like this?"
"No, it's not. Until a little while ago, I was working in Ciraroony."
"Cirraloony?"

When Ray turned to Lutus for words he had never heard before, he probably knew what he wanted to hear. Lutus opens his mouth.

"It's the name of a town in the country." though it is much smaller than the Rossi."
"…I see. I understand most of it."

In Lutus's words, Ray understands why men came here.
Perhaps the five of them worked well as bandits near the city of Ciraroune, and gained strange confidence...or fled after being sent out with a punitive adventurer.

(Perhaps the former.)

Recalling the confident expression on his first encounter, Ray predicts.

"What's your hideout?"
"There's a cave a little far from here, so we use it as an hideout."

After that, Ray hears a few more stories... suddenly he feels a sign of a few people approaching him.
When I looked up at the sky, I could see a set flying over a short distance.
Judging that there's probably someone approaching here... look at Lutus.
I don't think the robbers will lie here, and Ray and Elena are leaving Rossi behind.
If so, the most likely was Lutus.
But whether Lutus is aware of the signs or not, he doesn't seem particularly unusual.

(I don't think Lutus is exactly what he looks like, either.)

Ray thinks so, but now it doesn't matter, so he asks the robbers for more information about the hideout.
Hearing it... and when the thief is no longer wanted, he talks to Lutas again.

"And what would you do with them, if they were to be killed like this, or sold to slave traders?"
"What? Will you listen to my opinion?"

I have done nothing to catch this thief.
It was a Lutas who insisted, but it would be more troublesome for Ray to carry these five to Rossi to sell to slave traders.
I should have done more here than that, but it was out of the judgment that if I had to do so at all, I would be more or less indebted to the man named Lutus in front of me.

"Oh, if you leave it to me, you'll have to kill me, but... you're not?"

With a meaningful glance, Lutus tilts his head with a mystified look on his face.

"Well, if you don't want them anyway, I'll get rid of them here... what shall I do?"
"If that is the case, I will accept it."

Soon afterwards, the story is settled and Ray leaves Lutus and the bandits behind him.
The robbers are relieved that they have finally lost their source of fear.
Then, for about ten minutes, Lutus and the robbers remain silent with each other... before long, the nearby bushes make a sound.
The man surprised the robbers, but Lutus didn't seem particular about it and spoke.

"You were late,"
"I'm sorry, young, but if the other person wore crimson... if I didn't do it well, I might have noticed our presence."

More than a dozen men appear and say so, but Lutus shakes his head with a smile.

"I'm sure you've noticed it, not the possibility. Otherwise, he wouldn't leave me here and leave me alone."
"…is that so?" I've heard that crimson is searching for us. I was lucky that I didn't recognize the young man as a jaya. I suppose you ought to say so."
"Well, that's right. Then I'll leave it to you to deal with them. It's going to cause unnecessary disturbances in Jaya's territory."

The muttering eyes of Lutas were not friendly towards Ray... as if they were stones by the roadside.
