1706 Episode 1706

In the end, the laymen were able to wipe out a flock of yellowbirds, almost intact.
Rank D monsters are definitely a tough match for adventurers in the Goltz, but they're not that strong for the Lays.
Of course, it was a very difficult opponent in terms of being able to fly, but there was a set of people who were able to fly freely, and they were able to fly quite freely with Slapnil's shoes, and Elena with Slapnil's shoes, if not as freely as the reinforced ones.
For many other lays, such as the spirit-magic marina, who had the ability to attack their opponents in the sky, the yellowbirds were not a difficult enemy, even though they were a herd of dozens.
It was very difficult to find out where the yellowbirds were coming out of the dungeon, but it is not difficult to destroy them as they came back to the dungeon where the Reys were due to what seemed to be a homing instinct.

"Well, I've knocked the Yellowbird down anyway."

Ray talks to Goltz's adventurers, who have been there since before Rey came, as they collect Yellowbird's body.
He was spoken to by Rellieu, nicknamed "The Wind."

"Well, for the time being, this is the end of the emergency case. ... What's the matter?"

She's wearing a dragon lobe hood, so she can't really see the expression on her face, but for some reason she finds Ray looking at her strangely.
When asked why he looked at her like that, Ray understands that he doesn't understand what he means.

"That flying attack on the Yellowbird. What's that?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah. Come to think of it, Ray was making a similar attack. Is that why you're curious?"
"Oh,"

Ray nods back without showing any sign of agitation because what he is concerned about is true.
Rellieu was a little surprised by Ray's appearance, but since he had nothing to hide in particular, he spoke honestly.

"That skill is like my pronoun."
"... skill, after all. I thought it was a kind of magical sword."

You can't use magic like Vichela's immersive hand, but you can use it with magic.
Ray had predicted that if Relieu was going to use the magic of the wind, it would probably be a skill otherwise.
Of course, there are some magical swords that can use magic to produce such a special effect.
But to Ray's eyes, the long sword which he had seemed to be worthy of calling it a masterpiece, but not a kind of magical sword.
Ray's hobby is collecting magic items, so his eyes are correct in their own way.
...though it is only a matter of comparison with laymen, and far below the level of an alchemist in his professional alchemist.
At any rate, as long as it wasn't a magic sword, it was instantly recognized as a skill.

"It's just a common weapon. That skill is a blow-cutting skill. It's a skill I'm good at."
"The name is just as it looks."
"Well, if you say that, was it your sword? That magic is the same thing."
"...I don't deny it,"

For a moment, Ray tried to say that jumping-off is a skill, but now that he remembers that death-size skills are his magic, he nods to Rellieu's words.

"I heard that we can use something similar, even though it's different from each other's magic and skills."
"Oh, and that kind of skill is quite convenient."

Reilly nods deeply to Rey's words.
In fact, for Rellieu, who uses a long sword as a weapon, the skill of cutting wind is very useful.
That's enough to be a synonym for Relieu.

"I'm done collecting the bodies of the Yellowbirds. What shall I do?"

One of the adventurers calls out as Ray and Rellie are having a conversation.
Ray turned his eyes to the Yellowbirds, where all the bodies of the Yellowbirds who had been killed as they had been said were gathered.
The appearance of dozens of them all dead is quite large, partly because of the size of the yellowbirds themselves.

"First of all, you guys helped me. You can take the bodies one by one."
"...what? Really?"

The adventurers who came to Ray to report that they never expected to make such a profit... and the other adventurers who heard Ray's voice smile happily.
If the yellowbird meat had tasted good, Ray wouldn't have made such a big deal.
Yellowbird meat, however, is edible but not so special in taste.

"Ray, don't do that today."

Elena says so and stops Ray.
To tell you the truth, I'd like to see how Dungeon was built on the cliff wall.
But he had originally come here today at the request of defeating a herd of yellowbirds, and told Ray that because he thought it would be better not to do anything unnecessary.
It's probably okay, but as long as it's an unknown dungeon, there's no doubt there might be something.

"Ah,"

muttered the adventurer, interrupting Elena's words.
Those present, including Ray, looked at the dungeon and saw just a few goblins on the ground.
There's a lot of violence in the air, but as long as you can't fly, there's no way you can do anything about it.
As a result, the goblin is knocked to the ground and killed.

"...I see. That's not how it falls. That's not going to help, is it?"

Ray's words have a subtle color, as he has never seen a monster fall from a dungeon and die.
Ray doesn't know if there's anything like will in the dungeon.
But if you look at the core of the dungeon, you wouldn't be surprised if there was such a thing.
Then why did you make a dungeon in such a place?
That's nothing short of a question.
Ray had such a question, but it was because he had experienced several dungeons. For the inhabitants of the Goltz, this is probably the norm as long as this is the first dungeon they've seen.
In fact, when he sees this scene, he doesn't seem to feel anything special, and he calls out to Ray.

"Well, I'd like to fetch the talc and the testimonial part from the body of the Goblin, if you like."

For Ray...no, for most adventurers in Gillum, the Goblin magic stone is not something they want to go out of their way to prove to be an extermination.
Of course, some people don't want to waste the goblin, unless for some reason they've reached Gillum even though it's still low ranking, or if they've become adventurers in Gillum.
At any rate, Ray did not want to go out of his way to the site of the Goblin corpse, and strip it of the talc and the vindication of the extermination.

"Oh, do as you like. Just be careful, there may be other monsters falling out of the dungeon. If you're going to fight a monster and die, it's stupid to die when you're hit by a falling monster."
"Yes!"

With a cry of joy, the man turns towards the falling goblin.

"What, you're very worried. Do you like him?"

Ray, who was basically not very good at socializing, even worried him to be careful.
It's no wonder that Marina looks at me in a teasing way.

"I don't mean that, but I'm sure you're grateful for all the information you've given me. Then you can give me some advice, can't you?"

Nevertheless, the man who had gone to get the goblin's magical stones and testimonials seemed accustomed to hunting for the dead monsters from the dungeon.
If Ray didn't go out of his way to give advice, he would naturally be watching his head.

(Well, if the monsters that fall on the ground are goldier than goblins like oak, it's quite possible that they're concentrating on that.)

Even though I understood that monsters were coming down from above, I couldn't help but concentrate on monsters that were going to be that kind of money.

"Well, if Ray says so, I don't mind. It's a great help for us that the adventurers of Goltz are willing to cooperate with us. ... In that sense, I think it's a good thing that we were asked to kill the Yellowbirds, and we were able to defeat them all in the same day."

At some meaningful remark from Marina, Ray gently diverted his gaze.

"But have you knocked him down yet?"

The receptionist's voice echoes around when Ray reports that he has completed his request when he returns to the guild of Goltz.
The guild probably didn't expect the request to be resolved within the day, as it was supposed to take more than 10 days, let alone today, because it was a group of bird monsters flying in the sky.
It was the yellowbirds who came back to the dungeon by instinct of returning to their homes or something... ...that is, they were summer bugs that flew into the place where the lays were, so luck was stronger than ability.

(It might be more correct to say that ducks came with leeks, pots, and other ingredients.)

With this in mind, he places the yellowbirds' extermination sites, which he dismantled by the cave -- except for death size and the two that Sett absorbs -- on the counter.
Don't forget to add a bag of feathers and bird-of-war claws as materials.

"And to the adventurer who was near the cliff, I gave him this monster... one Yellowbird's corpse at a time, and that's all right, isn't it?"
"What? Oh, yes. It's the monsters that Ray and his team have knocked down, so I have no problem at all."

The receptionist began the process of completing the request and purchasing materials and magical stones.
