2006 Episode 2006

"Well, that's why the woodcutters were so quiet this time."

Hearing from Ray, Lenora tells him so.
When we first carried the woodcutters, some friendship had been established between Ray and the woodcutters.
But the workmen I brought to him this time were not afraid of Ray, but they had taken a step back.
Lenora was convinced when she found out that the reason was due to the interaction in the troubled village.

"Oh, there was nothing wrong with that village outside. And what about that village?"
"It's a sanction, of course,"

Kenny interrupts Ray and Lenora's conversation next door.
For Kenny, it was definitely an unforgivable opponent for Kenny, who deceived the guild and then was hostile to Ray.

"Look, Kenny. Calm down. First of all, you have to look into what the village has asked the guild... and what kind of complaints it has made to the guild. Once you know that, you may need to do something about it, as Kenny says."

 Lenora calms Kenny down.
...to be exact, but of course Lenora was angry with the village and the mayor.
If the guild has made any mistakes, it's not wrong to give some assurances about the matter.
But I could not forgive the thought of exploiting it to make money short-sighted.
It's because you're a guild employee, but even more so, if such a person is the head of a village, it's very likely that the guild will sanction you.
The sanctions, however, were not to use force, but to take no request from the village, or to ask for an outrageous amount of remuneration, including fines -- like a few white gold coins for the subjugation of a goblin.
Then it will be the villagers, not the mayor.
It is totally unacceptable for Lenora to have innocent villagers involved in it because of a short-sighted and selfish mayor.

"I can't say anything about it, for it will be decided by the upper management of the guild after all right?

Ray naturally felt uncomfortable with the village mayor's behavior, but when he saw two people who were involved in the case as guild officials, he could not get any more angry.
In the end, we leave the village to the guild and change the subject.

"And now, for the time being, there are nearly twenty more woodcutters to be added, but are there any more woodcutters to be added.
"What? Oh, yes. We haven't decided on how many people to ask. Of course, that's if Mr. Ray doesn't have a problem yet."

Given the village mayor's case, Ray may well say he no longer wants to accept this request.
Now it's in the form of a nomination request for Ray, but if Ray says he doesn't want to accept the request any more in this case, Lenora... well, as a guild, I couldn't help but accept it.
It was originally a request that I asked Ray to do quite a lot of unreasonable things.
In the first place, if you are just traveling, you can go around the village by carriage and gather woodcutters instead of by set.
That's why even if Ray says he won't make this request any more, Guild may be in trouble because he didn't notice the upper management of Guillum or the problematic village that he had requested until now, but he can't ask Ray to do anything about it's because of this.
... for in fact, Ray has a lot of work to do besides bringing in woodcutters.

"Oh, I don't know. It depends how many more woodcutters you want to gather. I can do it for a few more people, but if you want to gather more people, it would be easier for you to move in groups of carriages."

When I packed the woodcutters into the casket, they were moving fast, but there was no doubt that the woodcutters in the casket were under a lot of stress.
Nearly ten well-muscled men were forced into the set basket, which was supposed to be about five men, but with considerable leeway, and training as woodcutters.
Naturally, I could hardly relax on the move, so I ended up taking quite a few breaks.
But if you have a carriage, you don't have to be so cramped when you move, if you have a carriage from the beginning.
However, there is an overwhelming difference in speed between carriage movements and set baskets.

"All right, then, I'll ask my boss about it, and at the same time I'll tell him what he wants, because I think that'll be clear tomorrow or the day after tomorrow."
"If you do that, I'll be saved, too. ... Then don't I go now."
"Hey, Ray. Would you like to have something light with me? I recently found a good restaurant."

Kenny's words show Ray's strong interest.
Kenny, who wanted to go on a date with Ray, worked hard to find a place that had a nice atmosphere and served delicious food.

"Hey, Kenny! You're not done with your work yet!"
"Oh, I'm almost done with my work today, and I'm free after that, aren't I?"
"Well... but Mr. Ray has a lot of business to do, so let's force him to do it."
"I think it's Ray who decides it, not Lenora. ... How about Ray?"
"Oh, yeah. Marina is preparing dinner for me, just in case..."

The name Marina leaves Kenny speechless.
This is because many of the people who work in this guild have been taken care of by Marina, the former guildmaster.
...some of them started working in guilds this spring, so they have little to do with marina.

"Well, then... no?"
"No, if it's not too late, there's no problem. You can go to Marina's house after eating with Kenny."
"Ray-kun, that... no, that's Ray-kun, and that's what I'm supposed to say... can you have more dinner after you've eaten with me.
"I can't say anything about Kenny's light weight because I don't know exactly how much it is, but I still eat a lot. It's probably okay. I don't have to eat everything separately for dinner."

At times like this, Ray's Mistyling is very successful.
Normally, people put the leftover food into the next day's meal, but naturally, the taste of the food is much lower than it was when it was just cooked.
"However, if you put it in a misty ring where time has stopped, it's just made...no, it's not made because it stores the food after the meal, but it's still less deteriorating than normal."
However, as long as there are other people besides Ray who are in their prime, there's basically no surplus food. "

"Well, if Ray says so, I don't mind. It's been a long time since I've had dinner with him."
"Is that so? Well, for now... What should I do? I can't wait here."

 It's past 4 p.m. now.
It's not so crowded yet, but in an hour the guild will be crowded with adventurers who've finished their work.
It's only disturbing that Ray is in the guild at such a time, though he doesn't take much space.
But Kenny smiles at Ray, saying he's OK.

"I'll finish my work before I get busy. ... The last time I was asked by another girl."

When Kenny looks at Lenora and asks her, Lenora seems to have come up with the words, although she is reluctant to do so.

(I suppose that Lenora's admission in this way is a good reason for not being too dark.)

in one's years as an adventurer
Lenora, who had been in charge of Ray from the beginning, naturally understood Ray's character.
Therefore, judging from Lenora's appearance that Kenny's words are OK, Ray nods back.

"All right. So where should I be?"
"Well... the place I found was like a hideaway, and I can't get in a little bit, so I'd like you to leave her with someone or something. ... If it's true, I'd rather have a place where I could eat with her."

Kenny likes her lovely Seto, too.
However, when it comes to restaurants where you can eat with a set that is three meters long, it is inevitably limited. The restaurant that will show you around Ray this time is a small restaurant and, if not very much, you can't eat it with Seto.
Explaining the situation, Kenny agrees, though a little disappointed.
Given the size of the set, it is undoubtedly true that fewer shops are entering.
Going into a store using resizing would certainly cause a lot of trouble if the skills were out of effect inside.

"Okay. Well, I'll take Seto... well. I'll leave her at Marina's house and come back. Will Kenny's work be finished by then?"

At first Ray thought of leaving her in the stable of the Wheat-tei at dusk, but decided that she might as well leave her at Marina's house, where Elena and Arra are now living, and where Seto's friend Yero is.
Given Seto's personality, he would have liked to go out to eat with Ray, but at the same time he would have wanted to hang out in Marina's garden with Yero.

"Yes, please. By the time Ray comes back, I think I'll be done with my work today. ... Well, let's meet!"

Kenny says so, hiding the phrase that it's more like a date.
Ray doesn't understand Kenny's idea and nods back without any particular thought.

"Okay. So where are we going to meet?"
"Well, yes. There's a small store a little way from the guild, right? You know, a little while ago, Seto's wooden doll was put up for sale, and it became famous."
"Oh, that's the shop,"

Ray recalls a shop that became quite a topic of conversation when Seto's wooden sculptures were sold around the time it was really spring.
There is no such thing as portrait rights or anything in this world, so there's no problem doing business with Seto.
It's no wonder that Seto also had the owner of the accessory store treat him to a variety of dishes.
Ray doesn't seem particularly concerned, especially as he doesn't do any bad business.
So Seto didn't complain in particular, but let the store do whatever it wanted.
Of course, if the store acted in a variety of problematic ways...that's what they would do if they pretended to be Set's hair or feathers, and used them as theirs, they would do a lot of different things.
At the very least, there has been no such thing at all this time.
On the contrary, the reason why they sell Seto dolls at a reasonably low price... is because the owner of the shop is one of the Set lovers and wants as many people as possible to know about Seto.

"Well, let's meet at that store. Is that all right?"

When Kenny asks so beside Lenora, who looks a little dumbfounded, Ray nods that there is no problem.
The reason why we don't even decide the exact time to meet is probably because we have no way of knowing the exact time.
Ray has a watch, but basically a watch is quite a luxury in this world.
...however, the Guild's receptionist is so well paid that in some cases he might as well have a watch.

"Okay. I'll take Seto to Marina's house for now. See you later."
"Yes, let's have a good meal today."

Finally, Ray had to leave the guild.
