2130 twenty-thirtyth episode

After reporting to Dusker over lunch, Ray returns to Marina's house.
I didn't want to be too conspicuous to contact Grimm.
We could have gone back to the Wheat-tei at dusk, but the Wheat-tei at dusk is an inn and there are many guests during the day.
With that in mind, it would have been safer to contact Grimm at Marina's house, where there was no one to make sure there was no one else... or at Marina's house, where only the people I knew.
"However, the Wheat-tei at dusk was a luxury inn, so it was no longer easy to enter other people's rooms or listen to them."
And when Ray says he's going back to Marina's house, the rest of them naturally act together.

"Well, I'm a little tired, so don't let me sleep a little in my room. Seto, hang out with Yero. I'll be back in the direction of the Tower of Birth in the evening."
"Gruly!"

Ray says he understands and immediately heads to the courtyard with Yero.
Elena, Marina and Vihela look to Ray to teach them when they know what he's going to do in the room.
...especially Marina, who is serious about spirits.
It's only natural for a person to use spiritual magic.
A small nod to the three makes Ray head to his room... exactly to the room he sleeps in Marina's house.
From behind we hear the noise of Seto and Yero.
When Ray returns to his room listening to the happy voice, he immediately pulls out a pair of oves and starts them, calling Grimm.

"Grim, can you hear me, Grimm.

I've tried to call out to the pair of oves several times, but there's no sign of Grimm being projected there.
Still, Ray continues to call out to Grimm, wondering if anything had failed.
And... after a minute or so, Grimm's figure was finally reflected on the pair of oves.

'Ray? It's unusual for you to call me at such a time.'

Speaking of which, Ray remembers that Grimm is undead.
Basically, the undead is a nightlife.
It's fair to say this because we called him out in the daytime.
No, it's probably because Grimm thinks he's a grandchild.
If a complete stranger were to call Grimm at such a time, besides Ray, he could have killed him immediately.
Though it is unlikely that a stranger will get in touch with Grimm in pairs.

"Oh, come to think of it, was the Grimm undead?"

Ray doesn't know if the undead is going to sleep, but he asks so for now.
Grimm shakes his head at Ray's question.

'No, I was just a little focused on the study... and what happened?'

For the time being, Ray confirms Grimm isn't angry, so he immediately gets to the point.

"Actually, I just went to a space with Whisp, and found a crazy spirit sealed emerald there. Is that what Grimm put down?"
"Um"

Grimm replies more readily than expected.
 That was unexpected to Ray.

"Can I be so honest with you so honest?"
'I don't mind. It's nothing to hide. I was going to let Ray know about this one day.'
"Really? ... So what did you think of doing that? Marina was really curious."

Being concerned was a rather soft expression.
In fact, if Marina was here, she was angry enough to question Grimm.
Marina understands that there is an overwhelming difference between herself and the Grimm, but... that doesn't mean she can tolerate Grimm, who impersonates spirits by insanity and sealing them in emeralds.

'Is Marina the daughter of Dark Elf? Well, if she is closely related to the Spirit, she may take such an attitude. But both the Lord and the daughter of Dark Elf have a little misunderstanding.'
"Are you mistaken?"
'Well, guess what Ray said, that the Dark Elf's daughter thinks that the eagle drove the spirit of the wind mad and sealed it in the emerald?'
"Oh, I didn't say it was the Spirit of the Wind,"

Ray could not tell if he knew that Marina was sealed in emeralds by the wind.
But he probably didn't know that he didn't say it.
The reason why Grimm so quickly sealed the Spirit of the Wind may be because Grimm sealed it's because he sealed it.

"That kind of spirit didn't drive the eagle mad. Was it guillem? It's quite far from Ray's city, but there's a mountain called Mount Orléon. At the foot of the mountain, a fog with a special magical power occurs, but when the spirit touches it, it goes mad."
"I mean the spirit that was sealed in that emerald?"
'Well, when I went to collect the fog because I needed it a little, unfortunately I wandered in and went crazy because of the fog.'

There was a question as to what it meant to be such a dangerous fog, and how rarely it would occur once every few years or a decade, but Ray didn't mention it.
Especially in the latter time, Grimm was undead and long ago... that's what we've been in this world since we were with Zepyle.
For such a Grimm, years or even a dozen were quick enough.

"I understand why the Spirit went mad, but why do you pretend to seal it in the emerald?"
'I thought it would be better to seal it than to kill it, or perhaps a sealed spirit could be used for something.'
"Can't Grimm be undone by the fog?"
'It's a particular component of fog. It's hard. I've tried many things... it's impossible at the moment.'

Grimm's words convince Ray of it.
I was just a little surprised because I thought Grimm would do something about it so easily.

"For the time being, I understand what you mean... and why did you keep that emerald in that space?"
'I was wondering if that whisper would react. The result seems to have been a failure.'

 Oh, my gosh.
 a grimm murmuring regretfully
However, the disappointment seemed to me to be just Ray, who seemed to be giving out that kind of atmosphere.
Grimm's face is a skull, so you can't check his expression.
That's why the atmosphere gave me only vague predictions.

"Well, at least when we looked at it, it didn't seem that Whisp was reacting."

To Ray's eyes, putting emeralds down seems like nothing more than a waste.
In the first place, Grimm has a lot of other materials and stuff, so why did you choose a sealed emerald of crazy spirits?

'I wish something had happened to the emerald. There were many other things in that space... Didn't you see them?'
"Oh, I could have guessed that the emerald would have been placed by Grimm. Considering that, you wouldn't be able to search for treasure carelessly in that underground space."What would happen if you pretended to take home Grimm's things carelessly?
It's not about whether Grimm gets angry, it's about the possibility of a strange uproar as a result of bringing it home.
Besides, if Grimm had intentionally placed a variety of things in place, strange things might happen if they were moved from where they were placed.

'I didn't think so complicatedly of 儂. I'm looking into that whisper, but there's been no progress at all.'

From here to the forest of Trent, it takes a few minutes... in some cases less than a minute.
The problem, however, would be that it would not be possible to fly from here.
To get to the forest of Trent, you must first get out of the main gate of Gillum and then ride a set.
Given the hassle, Grimm, who has his lab directly connected to that space, is undoubtedly an overwhelming advantage in terms of studying whips.
And for Ray, who knows what a brilliant wizard and researcher Grimm is, it was only surprising that his research on Whisp was not very successful.

"I thought you knew something about Grimm by now."
'What does Ray think of a kite?'

With astonishment, Grimm tells Ray so.
Ray felt that Grimm could do most of the work, given that he had been helped so many times before.

"I don't think it matters to some extent because it's Grimm,"
"...not at all."

After a few seconds of silence, Grimm muttered to Ray.
It was obvious to Ray that it came from a shy cover.
My face was a skull, so I didn't know if I was embarrassed, but if Grimm had a neat face, he would probably have turned red.
Ray felt like making fun of Grimm a little bit about it, but decided that if he did so, he would be scared and changed the subject.

"And can't the spirit of the wind, which is sealed in the emerald, be released, not in a state of madness, but in a state of sanity?"
'It's hard. I've never heard of a mad spirit being restored to its original state by the influence of that fog. That's why I think it would be interesting to be able to bring it back to its senses.'

Grimm pauses and shakes his head.
It was proof that there was nothing we could do at the moment.

"Well... for the time being, I'll tell Marina about it."
"Um"

Grimm nods, and then a few minutes on end of the conversation, saying that Grimm is going to be busy with his research.
And when Grimm disappeared in front of the pair of oves, Ray immediately left the room.
It's not surprising that you're leaving the room a little early, as it was supposed to be a short break.
But considering Marina's impatience about the Spirit, she thought it would be better to talk about it properly.
And, as might be expected, Marina was waiting in front of Ray's room.
I knew Ray was going to take a break and get in touch with Grimm, so I guess he wanted to hear what was going on as soon as possible.

"Can you tell me a story inside? You might ask Arla or Bune here, right?

Both Ray and Marina are devoid of humanity in their senses. ... Neither of them are human.
As soon as Arla and Beune approached, we would know, but there is a chance.
That thought also made Marina feel like talking in Ray's room.
Marina wants to concentrate as much as possible on listening to Ray.
 They enter the room.
The room is not much different from the inn.
In this case, should I be impressed that it is no different from a high-class inn called Wheat-tei at dusk, or should I think that it is the same as an inn even though it is a mansion in the aristocratic district?
Ray sits in a chair and Marina sits in bed, thinking like that.
Silence fills the room for several tens of seconds.
 Soon Ray opens his mouth.

"First of all, I'll tell you what Marina cares about. It wasn't Grimm who went mad when the spirit was sealed in the emerald."

Say so, and explain the circumstances you heard from Grimm.
Marina looked relieved after the explanation.
for it was discovered that Grimm did not drive the Spirit mad, but sealed it in the emerald so as not to kill it.
though it was also found that Grimm could seal the Spirit in emeralds, and possibly in other gems.
Still, it was clear that Marina would not act like an angry man if she had seen her attitude towards Ray, which was enough to reassure him.
