15 CHAPTER XV -- Do You Need Heroes?

The time goes back to a month ago.

The room was covered with a fine carpet, and on the walls were expensive metal armor, swords, and shields.
On the opposite wall was a large painting, and various other ornaments adorned the room.
Put them all together, and they would be worth no more than a few dozen gold coins.
That suggests that the owner of the room is a man of high rank.

And then there is a knock at the door, the doorway to the room.

"Enter.

A male voice from behind an upscale desk at the back of the room grants you permission to enter.

"I am here, Baron Merc-Zeit.

Entering the room was Lasse's friend and colleague, Merck.

"Good to see you, incoming Viscount Zeith.

The man called him by the title he would inherit from his father.

He's still a knight, Lord Commander Frieda.

The man called Frida leans back in his chair and stares at the Merc.

"It will be the same for you, since you will inherit it eventually. But I'd rather have you do the job.

"To me?

Frida stands up and walks in front of the Merc.

"Gen. Maldo has offered his Majesty the return of the Lasse-Tamer.

 Frida emphasizes the original part.

"The Lasse?

"The Lasse-Tamer demon is a check on other nations. He said he was crazy to throw them out.

Frida speaks of that time in an evasive manner.

(Well, it's actually insane.)

At this, Merck agreed with General Maldo.
The general in front of him had never experienced real warfare.
He was the son of a powerful nobleman and had spent time in King's Landing as a member of the King's Landing Knights without ever experiencing a real battle.

The Royal Capital Knights are literally the last bastion to defend the capital.
It should have been an important job for the country's best forces.
But the capital was the last place to be attacked in war.
The truly talented ones are called to the front lines.

As a result, the King's Landing Knights were ridiculed as an incompetent knightly order where only those who clung to their self-protective and nominal positions would be appointed.
That means the new leader in front of you is incompetent.

But our glorious knights don't need witchcraftsmen! Mostly because knights don't want to rely on foul demons and the like!

(But if it weren't for that monster, the country would have fallen into the hands of the enemy a long time ago.

But since the other party is supposedly his boss, Merck decides to take advantage of his speech.

"Good work, Commander, you have a keen eye.

So Merck decided to play along with Frieda's intentions.
A man goes with the longest winding and lives longer.

Oh, you understand me? You are indeed Viscount Zeith's son!

Merck's eyebrows twisted slightly, just slightly.
But it was really only a slight distortion, and the Frida in front of her was completely oblivious.

"Then accompany the knights sent by the former commander of the Maldives to prevent the return of the Lasse-Tamer from the shadows!

"Ha!

(Disturbing a friend and interfering with a friend's return, this is sobering.

With that in mind, Merck felt bad about grieving his colleague who would be chosen to persuade Lasse to join him.

(But, it's just the way it is. It's your job.

 The

I'm sure that's why. The information I got from Ketsey in King's Landing, that's why I'm sure.

The demon Ketsey, who is also Lasse's squire, has little fighting ability.
After all, it is a talking cat.
However, despite their seeming incompetence, they actually have a tremendously useful ability.
It is the ability to transmit consciousness.
Ketsies can communicate with other Ketsies at a distance.
Lasse once asked how that was possible, but Ketsey would not tell him because it was an important business skill.

I see. I see." "We don't seem to be getting along in the military, either.

(Political strife right after the fight is over, they're totally stupid.

"And the man that Arachne captured, Nya. He was a spy for the neighboring country. He was a spy for the neighboring country.

"Scout? Isn't that an assassination?

Lasse nodded his head at the unexpected answer.

It's a nyah. ......

When Ketsey tells Lasse what happened, Lasse lets out a big sigh.
Then he strokes Ketsey's chin as he contemplates the future.

"For now, shall we dismiss the troublemakers?

"Who? Meow?

Ketsey rumbles and smiles at Lasse.

'Yeah, it's been a while since I've run a shady unit.

The realm of the demon hunter was about to come into play now.
