"Captain Marielle! We've finished packing the cupboards, Death!
Stop being the captain. You can't be serious~

Someone who works hurriedly, or who waves numbers at a packed package. People wobbling about, not knowing what to do.
It had been a week since the meeting that gave birth to the Round Table. The guild hall of the Crescent Moon Alliance was abuzz with noise.

"Captain Marielle is the guild master, you are the guild master, you are sitting right there!
No. No, I'm not! We are a small guild, so let's not talk about how great Gilmouth is or anything like that, as I've said many times before!
Marie. You're too careless, so please go in the corner and have a cup of tea and stay out of my way.

Henrietta gives Marielle, who is arguing with the newcomer, a shout-out. Marielle tears up a little at her words and blatantly slumps down and moves to the corner of the office, "We're useless, aren't we?

The Crescent Moon Alliance was in the midst of moving operations.

All the guild members were busily cleaning and packing up the original furniture. The whole group is busy cleaning up and packing up their original furniture, and Marielle is lost in thought as she looks around at the increased number of members.

The day the Round Table was established was the day the Hameln collapsed. In the same building where Marielle and her colleagues were meeting, Kouryu and Celara from the Crescent Moon Alliance and Akatsuki from the Horizon of Records had successfully protected a new member who had escaped from the Hameln.
Few people know that Shiroe, who had been leading the agenda as the presenter and proponent of so many conflicts, had been leading the campaign to destroy the Hamelin without being noticed.
If even Marielle hadn't heard about it beforehand, she might not have known.

The members of the Hameln were not able to track down the newcomers who had escaped because the names of their members were written in the blacklist of the Guild Hall's restricted entry.
The names of the members of the Hameln were all researched by Akatsuki in advance. The reason why he hadn't seen Akatsuki at all while he was selling refreshments Crescent Moon, was not because he was avoiding being turned into a dress-up doll by Henrietta.

After the evacuation was completed to the guild hall, the newcomers, under the command of the little dragon, immediately carried out the procedures for leaving the guild. There were 35 low-level players who were almost under house arrest under the control of the Hameln. All of them were covered in dust and sweat and looked miserable.
As Serara and the Crescent Alliance volunteers were mending the new players' food and clothing, the members of the Hamelin finally realized what was happening.

The only zone connected to the Guild Hall is the Guild Hall, and if you can't get in and out of the Guild Hall, it means that the Hameln is locked up in the Hameln's Guild Hall.

Of course, as Shiroe had predicted, there are ways to escape. One is the Return Spell. This is a spell that will take you to the city of Akiba if you are a registered player in the city. Normally, it is used to return from a distant field zone or dungeon zone.
However, there are no restrictions on using it in the city or guild hall. The Return Spell can be used to return to the entrance of Akiva.

The other option is to take your own life in the zone. If you do this, you will suffer a slight penalty to your experience, but you can be revived in the Great Temple. Since the Great Temple is located in the center of the city of Akiva, it is practically the equivalent of traveling.

By the time the members of the noticed and implemented these methods, the sun had completely set. The direction of the conference had already been set, and they were in the process of finalizing the law that was to be enforced.
The situation had progressed to the point where the Hameln could not be moved no matter what they did. In addition, although they had escaped from the confinement of the Guild Hall, they were still unable to enter the Guild Hall.
The odds had already been in their favor for many moves.

 The unexpected also happened.
Marielle and her team had planned to introduce the rescued new players to a new guild or help them get back on their feet, according to their wishes.
In fact, all of the guilds participating in the conference had offered to accept newcomers and help them responsibly.

However, as it turned out, out of the thirty-five low-level players, only sixteen of them had requested to join each guild. The remaining nineteen players had all requested to join the Crescent Moon Alliance.

According to Serara, Xiao Long had appeared too "manly" during the rescue attempt. The impression that he was a dependable and reliable leader had led to an increase in the number of people who wanted to join the League of the Crescent Moon.
As Henrietta put it, "It's the same kind of imprinting as showing a chick her toy parents," which even Marielle hadn't expected.

Nevertheless, the is no longer a part of the . As long as the Council's agenda includes providing assistance, we can't just toss it aside like an abandoned cat. In the first place, the Crescent Moon League was a guild that was friendly to mid-level and low-level members alike. When Marielle found out that the members were happy to see her, she decided to accept the newcomers.

This would cause various inconveniences to the Crescent Moon Alliance's headquarters.
The Crescent Alliance's guild hall, which has grown to less than twice its size, has become too small.

There is no particular reason for guild members to sleep in the guild hall. Any player in any guild can rent a room in an inn or other private place. It's not just a matter of time before you're ready to go.

But for low-level players, it's also a painful expense for their pockets. It's a good thing that the members of the Crescent Moon Alliance have good relationships with each other, and many of them sleep in the guild hall.

--From Marielle, who is the guild leader in the first place, using the guild hall as her home, it's only natural that the ones below her would imitate her.

''Marier. Marier? We're ready to go, so stand up. Here's what you're packing for Marie.
Carrying the stuffed bear and cushions that Henrietta had given her, Marielle left her familiar office. Almost all of the furniture has been moved out and the room has become much larger, so it's no longer the same.

"Captain Marielle~. I'm ready for the new hall office, too.
Marielle laughed at the members as they bounced around and said, "Anga to nae," and began to walk away.

That's why the Crescent Moon Alliance couldn't cope with the old guild hall anymore, so they decided to move the guild hall to a new location. The location remained the same: the Guild Hall, inside the Akiba Guild Hall.
Even though Marielle walked out with her bags, it was a short distance move from the old guild hall to the corridor of the guild hall once, and then teleported to the new zone through another door in the next corridor.

However, the rank of the hall they were renting changed, and they stepped up from a seven-room guild hall to a 31-room guild hall. Of course, the cost of purchasing and maintaining the guild hall would rise, but some of the funds earned from the Crescent Moon snack sale would still be left over.
Henrietta, who was strict about balancing expenses and income, assured me that "it's fine," and Marielle was able to make the decision to move without worrying about it.

There were over thirty guild members, but the new guild hall would be able to accommodate them adequately. It was a bit like a castle with 31 rooms.
Surprisingly, the inside of the guild hall is a two-tiered structure, and there are even stairs.

''It's so spacious!
Wow. You're so big.
You could get a dragon in there!
Marielle couldn't help but smile at the excited members. The new hall is now filled with furniture, unpacking, and making notes on the new equipment that will be needed.

The expense of tables and carpets is a bit of a headache, but I'm sure the bare essentials can be made up by the production workers themselves. And even if they have to save up for something they don't have, it's a good target for adventure.

Marielle is tickled by the thought of Akiba, which is starting to come back to life.
(There's a lot of things to do, right?

The new office was large, more than three times the size of the new office. It was too large and not very spacious, but it was uncomfortable. The desks, chairs, sofas and cushions that were used in the old guild hall had been brought with them, but the cramped office desk and reception set in the large room only served to give the impression of the room's cold spaciousness.

This is quite..... It's so spacious. Isn't it bigger than the meeting room in the previous guild hall?

Even Henrietta, who came in with the papers, was a bit taken aback. However, when you actually put the furniture in place, it looks too much space and too lonely.

However, when we actually set up the furniture, we found that there was too much space and it seemed too lonely. We can't live in a place like this.
Marielle couldn't help but make a pitiful sound. This is going to be quite troubling.

'The office is one room, but I think it would be better to put a partition in it. A screen and a houseplant.
Henrietta writes down the items she needs one by one in her notebook. It's true that with an office of this size, it should be possible to create a reception area. It's a good idea to divide the room into three separate rooms, Marielle thought, so that you can make your own bed in the back.

"You'll need a lot of things.
'Yes it is. .... but that's probably a good thing.
Henrietta smiles faintly, keeping her gaze down on her notebook. That beautiful smile makes me happy that Marielle felt the same thing as I did.

''We love you, Henrietta!
Marielle hugs him as hard as she can to express her feelings.
'How can that be the case with the way the conversation just went! Marie is already!
Henrietta resists with a black and white look in her eyes. As an added bonus, the newcomer finds it and says, "Shh, excuse me, Desu! And so on and so forth, so I was completely exhausted by the time Marielle finished tidying up the room while laughing at the colloquy.

''Totally with you........''
I'm sorry. I forgive you! Okay? Huh?
I'm just saying that it's a good idea to buy some furniture to contribute to the economic development of the city.
Henrietta's willow eyebrows go upside down as she gets red-hot at Marielle's attitude. Marielle still can't stop smiling at the smile of her best friend, who always seems to hug Akatsuki a lot, but is not very good at doing so herself.

''Really, it's kind of like the sun suddenly appeared.
Marielle wasn't talking about the approaching summer.

She was talking about Akiba's streets since the inauguration of the Roundtable.

That night, dozens of posters announcing the establishment of the Roundtable were posted in the central square of Akiba. The news spread at a frightening pace, and by the end of the night, no one in Akiba had heard of the Round Table Conference.

This is not to say that there was no animosity.
The Round Table was not a self-governing body of democratically elected members. In the standard Japanese sense of the word, this conference was imposed from the top, and it certainly looked like the big guilds had their breath taken away.
However, in anticipation of this, the purpose of the conference's establishment, the purpose of its activities and its methods were described in detail on the leaflet.

It also spared no effort to explain the secret of a completely new cooking recipe (although it wasn't really a "recipe") made known by Crescent Moon, the snack vendor.

The streets of Akiba were overflowing with all kinds of food overnight. Previously, you had to purchase snacks from Crescent Moon to get food that tasted good, even if it was only available to cooks.

Of course, the new cooking method requires not only cooking skills, but also the knowledge and skills of the person who cooks the food. There were some amateur dishes that could not be said to be flattering in quality. But even so, they were much better than the tasteless "food items" of the past.

Some quick-tempered cooks set up stalls one after another. Some baked bread and sold it, others sold sweet juice. Others were simpler, making and selling baked potatoes. . . . some of them were cooking fish and meat soup in large iron pots over open fires in the streets, and selling it for how much it cost to fill up a bowl, just like the hustle and bustle of business in the disaster area.

Everyone was able to satisfy their previously unfulfilled appetite for food. The delicious food that had gained a bit of a reputation sold out in no time, and Akiba's streets became a pastime "food wandering" that had been unimaginable until yesterday.

The people of Akiba welcomed this change.
And it wasn't just the adventurers who were welcomed by the adventurers, but also a significant number of the earthlings.

To restore life to the city. In a speech the next afternoon, he announced his plan to maintain security and improve relations with the Daichi, as well as to introduce a tax to support them.

In the speech, delivered in Akiba's main square, a number of leading Akiba figures, including Krusty the Mad Titan, the leader of the D.D.D. guild, and Michitaka, the general manager of the Maritime Organization, spoke about the purpose of the establishment of the Round Table Conference.

The introduction of a tax was met with skepticism, but when it was realized that it would be automatic and not too expensive, it was met with reluctant agreement. It was announced that a gold coin would be collected once a day for each day that a person entered or left the guild hall in the form of a fee for the use of the guild hall.
This is one of the items that zone holders of the guild hall can set regarding entry and exit, and according to Roderick's calculations, the Round Table should be able to obtain a monthly budget of just under 400,000 gold coins from this tax revenue.

Installing the Law was something that everyone, especially members outside of the major guilds, felt the need to do, and they all now understood the implications of revitalizing Akiva's city.

A single night of food revolution had revitalized the faces of all the people in the city.

In conclusion, the Roundtable was widely accepted by all of Akiba's inhabitants. Such a system of governance was bound to emerge anyway, and if that was the case, an effective system of self-government was dozens of times better than a dictatorial one - such as the rule of a major guild.

Each of the representatives of the eleven guilds that made up the Roundtable erupted in loud applause as they spoke from the top of the lectern. However, it still resembles the friendly applause of a large banquet, rather than the cheering applause of a political rally.

The area was completely stained with sunset and the central square was crowded with people. Those who couldn't get into the square were looking down at the podium from various floors of the surrounding crowded buildings.

Many of them were watching the event for the first time in a long time, with bread, sweets and spit-roasted meat in their hands. Some of them had consumed a few alcoholic beverages, and the atmosphere was more like a policy announcement amidst a frenzy than a speech.

And anyway, the town of Akiba will be rebuilding itself under a new system. We have many plans, including the investigation of the Fairy Ring. In order to do so, the cooperation of the town's residents is indispensable, according to Krusty, the representative of the Roundtable.
The people of the city greeted the announcement with applause, and suddenly an astonishingly large number of artisans began to bring in food and drink. When the representatives of the three major producers' guilds, led by the Oceanic Organization, announced with a thunderous proclamation, "Today is the first day of a festive holiday," and shouted loudly that they would use all the goodies they had in their warehouses, the excitement in Akiba's streets reached a climax.

'I'm going to be stupid in the head if that kind of foolishness continues.
That's true.
Marielle giggles, and Henrietta looks troubled.
The night passed in the midst of unstoppable toasts.

And a week has passed since that night.
The sun continues to shine on the streets of Akiba.

New dishes are supplied almost daily. Of course, we hear that the artisans other than the cooks are also trying their best to create new items.

Marielle and Henrietta are now interested in bathing facilities. When Elder Tail was a game, bath tubs were just another background object. But when you live in a different world, bathing suddenly takes on a different meaning. The humidity is lower than in the real world of Japan and the heat of summer is not as strong as in Japan - but as a woman, I can't help but be interested in it.
According to the story, the West Wind Brigade was one of the first to begin building a large bathhouse at the Guild Castle with the help of a mechanic, blacksmith and carpenter.

Every day, new news comes in that someone, somewhere, has devised a new solution. It really brought the city of Akiva to life. The young man who had planned all of these things hadn't received the slightest bit of attention in his speech that night of the fiesta, but he seemed satisfied.

Thinking of Shiroe and his friends made Marielle feel very strange, along with feelings of both happiness and gratitude.

The Hameln has recently decided to disband.

(They're really going to destroy an entire guild. Ugh. White boy, you are a scary boy. It's a power tool~)

Marielle clutches her knees on the plush chair at her office desk and shrugs her head. She remembers the strong eyes behind Shiroe's round glasses. Leading the meeting with a fire of will, Shiroe was certainly a bit frighteningly powerful.

Marielle knew Shiroe as a veteran player, who always seemed to be thinking about something still inside, binding herself with all kinds of bad premonitions, but still sincere and gentle.
He's more of a good-natured, lodgingless, strangely aged, elusive but dependable enchanter.

You'll be able to find a lot more than one way to go about it.

(But you did save us...)

Marielle laughed as she buried her face in both knees. Shiroe, Akatsuki, and Nyanta. And Naotsugu. Those dependable friends brought Serara back to the , and the city of Akiba back to life.

Even though they could have dismissed it as none of their business, the four of them who sought the "best" in the midst of it all, and the four of them who spent time relaxing over tea in the Crescent Moon Alliance's guild hall, are not yet firmly connected in my mind, but I still feel that I owe them a debt of gratitude. No change.

Uiya. Come to think of it, I can't see the white boys. What's the matter with them today?
 Marielle asked Henrietta, suddenly curious.

'Oh, dear. 'Didn't you hear me? Shiroe and the others are moving out today, too, you know?

You're not going to be able to do that.

At the time, the outskirts of Akiba were out of town. Shiroe and the others are settling into one of the multi-tenant buildings closest to the northern border.

The Log Horizons, which Shiroe has just established, currently has four members.
He is a soft-spoken, but when he decides to do something, he'll go through with it, no matter how messed up it is. "Shiroe (although Shiroe has many objections to this name).
He is a member of the Obanzu cult, and is the vanguard of the Guardians, a light-hearted, light-hearted, and always mischievous.
Akatsuki, a beautiful little black-haired assassin, always so earnest and always in charge of poking fun.
And then there's Nyanta, the swashbuckling swashbuckler, who is the guardian of everyone's stomach and advisor.

It's a small guild with four members, and it's embarrassing to say it's a small to medium-sized guild.
I had always thought that the Horizon of Records guild was a guild that was formed temporarily in order to start the Round Table. As Michitaka of the Japan Maritime Organization has commented, I can't help but get the impression that it was established in a hurry.
It's not surprising that this is the case, as Shiroe has spent a long period of her gaming life away from guilds.

That night when she looked up at the white moon over the Kanda River had dawned. Shiroe took Akatsuki and Naotsugu out to Akiba, where the morning mist still hung in the air.

Amidst the dawning sunshine and the cicadas that had already begun to sing, Shiroe, who had been struggling to find a way to start a guild, chose to say, "We're starting a new guild. Will you join us?

The two of them accepted the invitation to join the guild with an immediate response, as Shiroe began to regret it after a moment, saying, "Oops, I should have thought of a more witty way to phrase it.
--what, Shiroe finally felt like it? I thought I was going to have to go on propagating underpants religion as a guild without a guild tag.
--I'm just going to have to follow my master's lead. You can be the master of the guild and know your way around.

Together with Nyanta, who had already invited him to join Shiroe's guild, the Recording Horizon, there were now four of them. The weakest guild in terms of number of members, I'd say it was more like the bottom of the record books than the horizon of records.

It's not a big deal. My lord.
Akatsuki asks as he cleans up on the high-ceilinged floor, which can only be described as large and empty.

Akatsuki's concern is understandable. Weak guilds like Shiroe and the others usually don't particularly prepare a guild headquarters.

It's a very good idea to have a home base for your guild, even if you have a single-digit number of members and each of them rents a room in an inn.
It's a good idea to have a small group of people with little to no luggage or guild loot to leave behind, and the meeting place is a square or bar. We've got a lot of work to do, and the telephonic function is sufficient for communication.

Smaller guilds with slightly more people will rent a guild hall in the guild hall and use it as their base of operations.

Guild halls are popular because they are close to the city center, affordable and clean. There are a variety of rooms available, ranging from 7 reasonably priced rooms to 31 rooms for guilds of up to 100 people. They are used by many guilds due to their proximity to the square's shopping and banking facilities.

 The larger so-called major gil
Hmm..... So that was it.
Shiroe speaks as she picks up the rubble and shakes it up. It took a few days to roughly clean up the place with the help of the younger members of the Crescent Moon Alliance, but it's still far from being habitable, it's just a ruin.

The ceiling of the first floor, which has no dividing walls, is high, about 4-5 meters high, as if it had originally been a large electronics store.
Of course, it is hard to believe that there were no stairs from the old generation, that is, when the remains of this building were constructed. The vault where the staircase was originally located and the elevator hall that must have existed next to it were probably located where the tree trunks are now.
The truth is that after the building was abandoned and damaged, the old trees that grew in that stairwell or elevator hall penetrated and eroded the floor.

The reason a zone of this size had been left for sale on the cheap was probably due to its distance from the center of the city and this lack of usability.

'But hey. Akiba is a small town, it's a good place to live. You can just build a staircase and that's it.

As Naotsugu indicated as he came down from the second floor, a steel staircase was now being built to connect the first and second floors. It looks rugged and cold, but it's a staircase that is perfectly strong and large enough to be used.

That's why. "That's why, back in the video game days, you couldn't just drill a hole in the floor to improve the facility.
Shiroe's words convinced Naotsugu to say so, too.

The impact of the new cooking method discovered by Nyanta was not limited to the world of cooking. Nowadays, all kinds of production jobs have started to develop new items. No, not just production sub-commercials, but even role-playing sub-professions had begun to experiment to see how their technology would fit in this other world.

This staircase is one result of those experiments.
Interfering with walls, floors, and other basic objects was something the Elder Tail game hadn't even imagined, but over the past week it has even been demonstrated to be possible.

For now, the stairs are only between the first and second floors, and the floors above the third have to be roped off, but if they need to be expanded, we'll have a craftsman do it again.
The price to buy this zone was cheap compared to the market, but it was still a pretty big price. It was something we were prepared to do, but we would have to pay a reasonable amount to have a craftsman build the stairs for us. The small guild did not have the financial means to completely renovate the entire building.

We had asked the producers' guild, the Oceanic Organization, to install stairs and re-floor the second floor, which would serve as our immediate sleeping quarters - only the flooring was done by the producers' guild. Guild Master Michitaka said, "It's true that if we devise something like that, we'll be able to open up new uses for the ruins, which until now were not suitable for housing. Building a staircase is an interesting idea," he said, willingly accepting the offer.

Naotsugu said, "If it was such an interesting idea, why don't you give me a discount on the price? Hey! It was interesting to Shiroe that he seemed to be seriously troubled when I called out to him.

I know that this is likely to lead to new business, but in this different world where the processing of various materials is so different from the real world, it is difficult to calculate a "reasonable amount of profit".

Henrietta used terms like "demand and consumption optimization," "full employment" and "minimum wage" to describe them. I'm sure you have a good idea of what the structure is, but it's not possible to simulate the actual numbers.
I'm not sure how far we can apply the common sense of the real world to the economic system in this other world.

I'm going to do what Michitaka says: "Well, I'll just charge whatever I can. I'm sure the market price will come out as time goes on.

That day, Shiroe and the other four men were cleaning frantically all day long.

However, there was no way the four of them could clean the entire sixth floor and the first basement level, and the higher up they went, the more holes there were in the ceiling and broken windows.
Abandoning all maintenance work, the four of us concentrated on making the second floor, which was our immediate living space, more comfortable. Currently there are only two large halls with wooden flooring on the second floor, but the plan is to build about eight private rooms here.
With that much space, we should have no problems for the time being.

However, I don't know if I can finish it in the summer or the fall. I'd like to finish it by winter, Shiroe thinks, mainly due to the temperature and camping conditions.

But while Shiroe and his team are working to build their roost, they are visited by a variety of visitors. Since Shiroe had designated this zone as unrestricted access, everyone they knew would visit the first floor of the abandoned building and call out Shiroe and the others' names loudly.

Also today, Henrietta, who was supposed to be moving into a new building, dutifully delivered an assortment of fruits to me as a celebration for the decision of the Record Horizon's home base. The Akatsuki, who received the gift with trepidation, was captured in the blink of an eye and was about to be dressed as a "special present," but I suppose I shouldn't mention that.

The West Wind Brigade's Soujiro came to greet us, accompanied by a beautiful healer, Nazuna, also from the Prodigal Tea Party. I'm not sure which of us is more into cherries, but their limpid aroma is perfect for the early summer weather. I was told that the brewers of the West Wind Brigade had made it with some ingenuity.

Karashin of the Eighth Shopping District came to Shiroe with something to discuss.
He asked about the idea of employing the Daichijins to perform light work at the Round Table, mostly delivering documents and writing.
It would be difficult and expensive to hire an adventurer to do such light work. If it is possible, we can conclude that this is a good idea.
Karashin went back with a smile as he tried to find a Daichijin that he knew of.

I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results. Isaac brought a few of his subordinate Summoners with him and said, "Hey, 'belly-button glasses'. It's a good thing that this place is spacious and convenient, so let us train in combat as well," he said, adding that he had no choice but to complain to Naotei.
Without giving Naotsugu time to complain, they summoned the Undine of the Clear Stream, the Water Spirit, and used a large amount of water to wash the first and second floors, which were too large for them. In this different world where there was no running water, this was a very gratifying thing.
Isaac himself had just eaten all the fruit Henrietta had brought him to congratulate him on his return, but "The Black Sword Knights aren't a bad bunch either," muttered Squad Leader Nyanta, which was impressive. Or perhaps it was an attempt by Isaac to make up with Shiroe.

This was half the reason why Shiroe had decided to purchase this abandoned building--the Guild Tower.
As a participating guild in the 〈Roundtable〉, there would be a lot of visitors. The number of people on Shiroe's friend list has increased again in the past few days. It's not that they're not friends in the sense of playing close together, but the opportunities to contact them are increasing, so you have to sign up for them, otherwise you won't be able to use telepathic communication.

I'm sure I'll have more visitors in the future, and in some cases, it may take me a long time to get to know them. I don't know if there will be a big commotion like the establishment of the Roundtable in the future, but if that's the case, we may need it in the kitchen, in the workshop, or in the warehouse.
With that in mind, we chose this building, which was on the outskirts of town but had plenty of space.

As they say, "Bigger is better than small.
Naotsugu seems to like high places, you know?
White. Hey, you. You're the reason I'm such a fool to you, Akatsuki. The stock market is in freefall.
To Shiroe, Naotsugu was still the most forgiving and familiar of all. It was infinitely more comforting to talk about trivial things that didn't serve any purpose in this way.

You see, you see. Shiroe and Naotsugu. If you don't clean up quickly, you won't be able to eat your dinner.
Stupid Naotsugu. It's curry today.
And Nyanta and Akatsuki will join them.

Even Shiroe has joined the Elder Tail guild over the years. But in the true sense of the word, he didn't join the guild, he was just a customer.

It's not a "form" like a guild, it's my friends and my place.
It's not a guild, it's your friends and your place in the world.
That's what I learned at the Prodigal's Tea Party. It's not so much the "form" of a guild or not, but the will of the friends who have gathered together that is more important.

Shiroe always feels a special feeling when the city begins to turn red. In the days of video games, the evening was just an on-screen effect, but in this other world, it's different.

In this other world, however, the black birds returning to the forest let out a sweet, lonely cry and flew low.
The adventurers, returning from hunting, chilled out at the stalls along the central street as they entered the square. Those who had a good catch discuss their next hunt with gusto, while those who had a bad one vow to humiliate themselves. The abandoned building, entangled in ivy, turns madder, and the shadows of these warriors and the city's artisans stretch long and wide, without adventurers or men of the earth.

Over the past week, the dusk has grown to bear incense.
The many stalls selling dinner to weary adventurers and workers after a long day's work. The tavern run by the Daichijin now serves simple dishes along with sweet-tasting liquor.

The sky is slowly setting. The vermilion copper color gradually changed from dull rose to navy blue, then to indigo. In the sunset, which feels slower than in the old world, the people of the city have finished their day and are preparing for tomorrow.

'The evening star is out, my lord.
That's not important. I'm hungry. I'm stuck on a hunger fest.
Akatsuki and Naotsugu are cooling off by the window, as if they've finished carrying their bags. They are drinking apple juice, but there is no food.

'Huh? Where's your team leader? You're not home yet?
Shiroe noticed that Nyanta wasn't there when she went out in search of the spices she forgot to buy in the center of the city and asked.

'Come to think of it, you're late, Squad Leader. It's too late, team leader. I'm sure you'll be able to find it. I just want to eat meat.
She didn't say it very well.
Shiroe was listening to the two of them talking to each other, but was a little concerned. Then Shiroe heard a voice from the floor below saying, "Shiroe~. Naotsugu-chan~. Akatsuki-nyan" from the floor below.
 Nyanta must have come home.

The luggage is heavy, but no, that's not something that happens in this other world. As the three of them descend the stairs, they find a wire-thin figure of Nyanta on the floor in the moonlight.

What's the matter with you, group leader? I'm hungry. Let's hurry up and have some curry!
Mm, Master. I'm hungry too.
Naotsugu and Akatsuki lean out of the middle of the stairs and start talking like children. Nyanta laughs, ''Nihahaha,'' and tries to push out the two masses that are attached behind them.

Uh, uh, uh, well.
It's Touya and Minori.

A girl and her twin, a samurai boy, with cheeks dyed so brightly that even the eyes can see them at night. The two new players, both neatly dressed and with their hair styled over the past week, are encouraged by Nyanta.

We found this building on our way back from buying spices. If I were you, I'd turn this building into a butter candy.

What's going on? Both of you. Crescent Moon.
Yes.
From the first floor, Touya looks up at Shiroe, who is standing in the middle of the stairs, and calls out in an interesting and resounding boyish voice from the first floor.

''--I'm here to get you to join my brother's guild.
Heh...?
We've been hoping to study under you, Mr. Shiroe. Although you've been a part of the Crescent Moon League for the past week, you didn't join the guild. I did not join the guild.
Touya and I are the only two people from the Hamelin that have not yet joined the guild.
Minori politely supplemented her brother's words with straightforward directness.

'You taught me a lot of things, big brother, and it's because of you that we were able to do our best. I'm sure you've made a guild, you want to join it. I might be weak, but I'll be strong.
I don't know if I'll be a burden to you, but.... I've decided to stop using that as an excuse. Please let me stay with you.

Ah......... Um.

 I might get rejected.
 What if they refuse me?
The young twins stiffen their bodies to the point where such tension can be felt just by looking at them, and their words are strained.
I somehow overheard how they were treated at Hameln. As a newcomer to the Elder Tail with no acquaintances and no one to rely on, it must have been too painful an experience for you.

If you're in the Crescent Moon Alliance, I'm sure there are many others from similar backgrounds and with similar skill levels. I'm sure they can handle it well. The feelings of the two of them foregoing participation in the Crescent Moon League and coming to Shiroe and the others, even though they would have nowhere to go if they were rejected.
It's not that I'm not interested in this, but the fact that I'm not interested in this, I'm not interested in that.

It was the last week when the Elder Tail we played together was still a game. I'm not sure what kind of words the two of them were thinking about during that short period of time, but I don't know.

I'm sure you'll be able to find out more about this as well. You'll be able to get a good deal more out of it.

Nyanta, who was looking at Shiroe, squinted his narrow eyes extra gently and spoke softly to her.

''Shiroe. You can't just sit there blankly, you know. It's Girmas, you know.

 Guildmaster.
 Guild Master.
 The leader of the guild.

Well, come to think of it, Shiroe realized. They were an overly familiar, yogic group of friends, so even though he had created the guild, he had spent his time not really feeling that he was the leader.
Shiroe looked back at his two hungry companions as they poked their faces into the stairs. Naotsugu gives an evil grin and a thumbs up "of course", Akatsuki nodded with a slightly gentler expression than usual.

Good. We at the Horizon of Record welcome Touya and Minori.
The rookie's first task is to eat curry and rice with the guild's leaders. ...Are you ready?

Yes! Brother!
Two young voices join the ranks, bringing the total number of members to six.

In the former world of the Elder Tail, a new guild is born.

--The guild is called Log Horizon.
On the outskirts of Akiba, in an abandoned building pierced by old trees, is the birthplace of this small group of friends.
