Chapter 4.04

"No, no, no, no.
Karashin, who had made a bento box with his hands, was the first to speak up with a look of deepest gratitude.
It's impossible to get underneath that fish and manage east-west logistics. It's not that I can't accept it, it's just that if we do our best, we'll end up blowing up their water transportation rights, and if we want to make use of their water transportation, we should leave Akiba and develop Kansai," he said.
Behind Karashin, the two attendants, Taro and Akatsuki, have their hands crossed in the same pose with their mouths in a crooked shape.
'What are you going to do then? Are you going to be the flag bearer for the revival of the round table?
At Isaac's question, Karasin suddenly turned away and said, "There, you see. Hey? The eighth shopping street (our house) has become a large-scale distribution center, so any careless move will lead to death. If you throw everything into it too easily, you'll end up in trouble when you get there.
What's the matter with you? Chicken.
If you're going to do that, why don't you do it, Mr. Isaac? The "flagstaff
It's a good thing that you're able to have a good time with your friends and family.
It's not a stingy thing to do, but it was decided that the Black Sword Knights would be the guardian of the ISEE. You can't make Akiva the first choice, even if you are the leader of the organization.
Behind Isaac, a dumbfounded-looking Rezarik and Akatsuki, who had moved next to him before he knew it, were still crossing their arms in the same pose, with their arms crossed in a baton.
'Two-timing! There's a two-timing man, folks. He's the enemy of women!
Shut your f*cking mouth.
The meeting that had begun in earnest had thus instantly turned into a languid situation.

It was in a conference room in the basement of the guild hall in the heart of Akiba. It was not the Round Table Room in the upper levels of the building, but it was a quiet space used for preliminary conversations between practitioners. A large number of former members of the Roundtable are gathered in the room, which is furnished in a calm, but not too shabby, manner.
They were centered on the sofas occupied by Shiroe, guild master of the Horizons of Record, and Reinesia, a beautiful girl full of sorrow. The six-person sofa was occupied by Shiroe, with Soujirou next to her and Naotsugu on the other side. Facing it was Reinesia and Henrietta and Liese with her in between.
As if to draw attention to the sofa, Akiva's central figures are gathered in thoughtful places such as the conference table, in front of the fireplace, and by the wall. Mikakage, Nazuna and Kurinon, Kahlu, Rezarik, Kushi Hatama, and Nyanta. The guild masters alone have Marielle, Akaneya, Michitaka, Isaac, and Karashin staring at them.
The day after the blitzkrieg meeting with Touri Saimiya had been established, the main guild principals had been gathered in this room in the guild hall at Shiroe's urging. Shiroe had announced the virtual collapse of the system and the consideration of a plan of action.
It was difficult for anyone to admit, but the Roundtable system was already bankrupt.
The reason why this system has remained intact to this point is largely due to the unique management style of the Roundtable, which makes use of the autonomy of the participating guilds. No matter how prestigious the Roundtable may be, in reality it is nothing more than a local, self-governing organization. As long as the staff members who are handling these tasks (in other words, the relevant members of the participating guilds) are working, the day-to-day processing of such end-to-end tasks as preparing the streets and managing the vacant stores will proceed on a daily basis.
Because these tasks have already been established and the importance of these tasks can be understood visually, in fact, even if the upper echelons of the "Roundtable" are left alone, they will proceed on site on their own. This autonomy is inherently good, but it is for this reason that it has prevented the collapse of the Roundtable system.
It was Akiba's misfortune that, although he was excellent and grateful in the field, the results were in some respects very bad.

The collapse of the Round Table Conference system was the result of a disruption in the pace of the Round Declination, the eleventh member of the Round Table, which is supposed to be the highest decision-making body in the world. To begin with, the residents of Akiba, who are neither politicians nor businessmen, have not had a "leader" in place, but have instead been driven forward by the motivation and ingenuity of those at the bottom. It might have been accurate to say that the latest incident is the result of that.

To be fair, Shiroe and the rest of the Round Declination team (the eleventh member of the Round Table) were as good as the people on the ground, and they did a good job, but they overdid it. Normally, such a volunteer, mutually-helpful organization would have collapsed in a few months, but that was more likely to be the case. Nevertheless, we looked out for each other and we got along fine for over a year. That gave us the illusion that we would not have to set up a proper, formal organization.
It was the kind of mistake that made them settle in a hypothetical square as a new town without a new home because the temporary housing they used to rebuild their lives after the disaster was so livable.

Reinesia, who listened, didn't understand that kind of situation, but she understood that this one was not just Reinesia's own refusal to engage, but a family affair that involved the governance of Akiva.
What Reinesia couldn't understand was that normally in a family riot, there are two or more candidates for succession, and those forces fight for leadership - in other words, to decide who is the winner - but every member in this room had to be the one to do it. The thing is that they seem to be giving each other away.
'Um,'
When I gave a small (twitchy) smile as if I didn't know where I was, the dark-haired, bespectacled young man sitting in front of me explained the situation to me.
Even without this incident, there is no doubt that the survival of the 'Roundtable' system would have been impossible. It was inevitable that we would have had to restructure the decision-making system in a form that would have allowed us to make better decisions. There was another problem with the Akiba Ruling Office. The idea of the Akiba Governing Office may have some nods to it, but if we were to go along with that idea, we'd be on the front lines of the clash between East and West of the Daichijinshi. We will lose our leadership.
Is there a war coming?
Your ability to have an opinion on whether or not you will be will be weakened.
The Siloe in front of her responded politely to Marielle's murmur.
Reinesia also made a genuine expression and nodded.
''Fortunately, we've made an arrangement with Ains-san.
The commentary seems to go on.
"Next Sunday, we'll be holding a vote in the Great Silver Leaf Tree Plaza. One man, one vote. The ruling government of Akiba and us. Either one of them will get to vote, and whoever wins will rule this Akiba. It's a one game deal, with no hard feelings.
How could you convince that threadbare guy to do that?
'No, they'd drink that too. If they intend to win and get rid of all of us, it's all-out war, but that's not what Ains and others want. If you want a prosperous and peaceful Akiba, you can't make us too angry and have us leave.
That's what it was all about, Reinesia thought, and Michitaka's words made it clear.
This is truly a house riot.
Whichever side won, it would leave a big knot in the ground, and as a result the vitality of the entire house would be diminished.
The Michitaka Marine Organization is a huge production clan. While their production is not extensive in terms of agriculture and cattle breeding, they are a blend of blacksmiths and civil engineering and construction guilds, and they produce the majority of the iron products traded in Akiba, including farm equipment.
Crushing such a huge clan without consideration, even in a battle for leadership, would make it difficult for Akiva to survive afterwards, even if they were able to win the family turmoil itself. Reinesia realized that it was against this background that Shiroe and Ains were engaged in a last-minute standoff while avoiding hostility.
If that was the case, then what was being discussed in this room right now would be a meeting to determine the leader of a single party, which should be called the old Round Table faction.
In order to counter the Akiva Duke's forces led by Ains and Saigu, this one too must denounce the small clan to create a force. I can understand the logic behind this.
More to the point, it's not hard to see why we're in this mess.
'Well, I don't know if...'
What's going on?
Isn't the reason we're asking and answering questions like this because Master Krusty isn't here?
That's right.
Reinesia felt very sunny as Liese next to her nodded with an expression that said, "Well done," as if to say, "Well done. It was true, as I knew it was. The mood of frustration at Krusty's absence was shared by the rest of the people besides him, which made Reinesia feel quite relieved, but also happy.
That irresponsible youkai was so good on the outside, outside of Reinesia, that no matter how much Reinesia complained, she was often swept away by the story. The fact that a large number of people can come together to denounce the mind-watching behavior is very beneficial to Reinesia's mental health.
Yes, I understand. "Yes, I know, I'm just wondering if Master Krusty would have been able to keep his nose to the grindstone,
I agree. Milord is messing around on the continent, so we're busy cleaning up after him.
Liese also nods at me with a serious face.
Behind her, Kushi Yatama says, "Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that. It's a very good idea to be able to have a good idea of what you're looking for.

On the other hand, around them, just like at the beginning, "How should that new 〈Roundtable〉 successor organization be managed? What principles and policies should we promote? Who should be leading the charge? Can we beat Akiba's government in the first place? It's difficult to participate in Reinesia when it comes to that stage of the problem. I can barely understand the issue itself, but I don't understand why it is important, so I am naturally at a loss as to how to resolve it.
Can't we just keep the 'Round Table' as it is?
I don't think so. You can't win against the Akiva Governing Office, even if you took over the entire name of the office, because it was broken in the first place, which is why we are in the situation we are in now. Or rather, we're in this much trouble because we have no chance of winning.
I couldn't help it, so I consulted with a small voice, and this time Henrietta, who was sitting on the other side of the room, explained it to me.
''Isn't there a chance of winning?''
Yes, for now. The number of Adventurers living in Akiba is around 10,000. Compared to that, the number of Daichijin reaches at least thirty thousand. If you're going to vote, there's no way you can beat the Akiba Governing Office, which has promised support in the name of the Akiba Duke, and even more importantly, Saigu's support is public.
 Reinesia nodded in agreement.
'No, but that's where Siloe is.
I manage to squeeze out a cheerful voice on top of that.
'Heh?'
Did he do something wrong?
The words that I should have discussed with Henrietta were picked up by Shiroe herself and the ponytailed 'warrior' next to her, who had come up in the conversation.
''Well, that is...''
Leinecia smiled her signature winter rose smile and said (reluctantly), "If you let me cling to your wisdom, I can find some light even in such a difficult situation.
Of course, after I finished, I didn't forget to look down in frustration.

There was a silence in the room.
Reinesia doesn't know the meaning of the silence and is very impatient, but she can't be distracted in this situation, and quickly looks around with her gaze, keeping her face down.
Michitaka, who has a somewhat subtle expression on his face, Soujiro, who is smiling happily, Karashin, who is smirking, and Isaac, who is dumbfounded, as if he has seen a strange creature--. I didn't want to check, but the Shiroe in the front that I glanced at was only a form of laughter at the mouth.
''Henrietta-san?''
At Siloe's gentle question, the lady next to Reinesia said, "Yes, what is it, Lady Siloe?
He smiled, but seemed to back away from his seated position slightly. 'Akatsuki told me,'
What is this?
'I understand that you advised Princess Reinesia that 'specific measures can be left to Shiroe and there will be no problem,' right?
 That's right.
I don't want the work I did on Akiba to go to waste.
I don't want to forsake the work I did in Akiva, and I want to continue to help the Adventurers and the Earthmen.
This was the advice of Henrietta and the others to Leinecia. With their encouragement, Reinesia was able to stand before the Saigu, the highest authority in aristocratic society. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have had the courage to do so, though I'm not sure I would have been able to do so.
''No, no, not at all! No, it's not.
Henrietta floats back and clenches her fists and gives an impassioned speech.
(Heh?)
At Reinesia's side, who had thought to flush the words out of her mouth when she had given her proper advice, Henrietta wriggled dexterously with her cheeks dyed.

'I would not offer such ambiguity! It's a steel wall that's safer and stronger than a stone bridge if you leave it to Miss Mukuro Chloe. The other gents will be completely crushed. I'm proud to say that I'm the first to admit it.
'That's right! 'If left to my lord, Sapphagine variants are only a hindrance to the green pyramids that come with a seafood bowl! And I even gave him a proper mouthful!
My best friend Akatsuki, who jumped in at Henrietta's assurances, clenched his fists and agreed with her.
(Yes, that's right, of course!)
Raynesia nodded together with her reliable helpers.
Shiroe held her temples with a kind of subtly broken expression at these women.

Chapter 4.05

No, you can't.
After a long blank, Shiroe, whose mouth was open in a square, waved a hand expressionlessly.
'Can't?'
A troubled Reinesia repeated that Siloe's words like a parrot.
'You can't do it at all. You can't win.'
'What? Now then.....
 After all, Reinesia was relieved.
It's because Henrietta and Akatsuki, two trusted friends, had assured her that it's a celebratory cannonball that is beyond the drumstick. It's not just that this was the advice given this time, but also because Shiroe's reputation as a "master strategist who always brings about victory no matter what the adversity" is the one I've heard over the course of our relationship.
No matter how difficult the situation was, if you asked Siloe to help you, you could easily get out of it. Reinesia was unconsciously optimistic.
That Shiroe is moving his worshipful palms in front of him from side to side.
Looking around as if asking for help, everyone seems to have a subtle expression on their face.
''That U........''
I wasn't trying to say anything, but I still couldn't bear the thought of not saying anything, and as I was about to speak, Karasin suddenly spoke up.

''Ugh. We're screwed. The Round Table is over!
What, what...?
I mean, think about it. The Daichijin is three times as big! Three times as many is more than two times as many. You can't win this one!
Yes?
There were no words to say to Karasin, who covered his face with both hands and mourned, and Reinesia raised her hands to comfort him, and then lowered them again with difficulty.
'Ah. Uhon. ........Things are indeed serious.''
Michitaka, arms crossed, nodded repeatedly like a bear.
Reinesia's anxiety swelled at the sound of his voice.
Indeed, Reinesia's reassurance was only that from Henrietta and Akatsuki's advice. Maybe she had been too careless.
When Reinesia was speechless, Isaac in front of the fireplace called out to her.
This is a matter for the Duke of Maihama's family to begin with. Do you understand that, Princess?
What...?
The voice, laid-back yet somehow sharp, made Reinesia's spine stiffen. It was an unexpected angle.
'Hey, Karasin. Description.
As Isaac instructed him with his chin, Karasin shrugged his shoulders and began to speak slowly, in the tone of a lecturing teacher.
''There are three heirs of the Duke of Corwin's family. First Duchess Lysertea, Second Duchess Raynesia, and the youngest and male Duchess Ycelus. By convention, it's natural for Duke Iserus to inherit the house. However, Prince Ycelus is still very young and the situation is in flux. The Duke of Corwin pushed for Ycelus at the unveiling, but there's no telling what's to come. First Duchess Lysertea has renounced her succession by marrying a vassal to make it clear that she has withdrawn from the succession battle. --but there is still a second duchess, Lyselthea. It is possible that she will take a son-in-law and take over the dukedom, so she is not entirely confirmed as the Duke of Icelus.
This is the story of the family situation of the Maihama family as told by the Adventurer.
The fate of the three children of their father, Fennel, was just as Karasin had told them.
As a daughter of a nobleman, Reinesia was prepared to marry somewhere and accept any fate that might befall her, but she obeyed her family's orders and became an ambassador for Akiba, where she now resides.
'I have no intention of taking over the Duke of Corwin's family.
Raynesia thought she had spoken so clearly, but her voice sounded much smaller. I don't want to cause anyone any trouble. I want to live a modest life, and I want to do my part. It's true that I want to live a modest life, but I am aware that I am not able to do so.

But in order to ensure that this is the case, we have to get rid of Princess Reinesia. Unless Prince Yserus has the support and credit of those around him, the reality is that Princess Reinesia is more popular, and she has done a good job of being an ambassador in Akiva. But no matter where in the Alliance of Free Cities Eastar you take her as a bride, she's too big of a deal for the achievements of Princess Reinesia, and she'll have too much power in the country she's married into.
Karashin's words continued as Reynesia groaned.
It's not that she hadn't noticed, but it stings to be told that way. Rather than Reynesia being suspected of having ambitions for the duke's house or the supposed blood feuds, it was more that Reynesia's efforts, and more than that, the sheer bravery of the many folklorns, artisans, pioneers and exiles, who risked their lives in Akiva, were spoken of as a nuisance to be present. It's painful to see.
That's why you can't help but think about joining the Saigu family.
'Well...'
There was no power in his muttered words.

''Because even so, throwing the whole thing to Shiroe-dono is too callous.......''
Reinesia was struck by Karasin's words.
If you think about it, you're right.
This was not just a matter of the adventurers splitting up, but a case with the future of Akiva at stake, and Reinesia was an important part of that.
Reinesia bows her head for the umpteenth time today when Shiroe says, "That's just the way it is, don't worry about it," as if to mock herself.
''Su, excuse me. Siroe-sama.''
Shaking her head a few times quietly, Shiroe said, "That's fine. But," he continued to say.
One of the reasons why the Roundtable reached its limits is because it was an organization of adventurers. Even though the majority of the residents of this city are Daichians, we were unable to recognize their fear that there was no lord to protect them.
Raynesia bit her lip at the point.
The problem may have been a flaw in the Roundtable.
But from the point of view of the Daichijin, the candidate for the "Lord of the Land" who would protect them was Reinesia. It was precisely because Reinesia had disrespected their intentions and failed to protect them that Duke Akiva, a man who did not exist, was brought in.
This may be a problem for the Round Table, but it is clearly a problem for Reinesia as well. The current situation was the result of Reinesia's incompetence, in the sense that it had been left unaddressed until now.

Well, so what. Well, well, you know, the Daichijin are the ones who have the votes this time. So, if we lose, it means that Ains' popularity will be overwhelmed by you, right?
You've been doing everything you've been doing, Princess, and you're going to lose.
'Yes. You're right.
Raynesia accepted the conclusions Isaac had come to.
If you ask me, it's all very plausible. Reinesia had taken it easy because she was a child, but now that she was determined to take care of what she had done, she could see how much of a problem that laziness was.
'Do you understand, Princess Reinesia? That in order to win, Princess Reinesia will have to get serious about it.
 Raynesia nodded emphatically.
 Finally I understand.
This battle was not for the Round Table or the Adventurers.
How would Reinesia and the other Daichijinshi live in this rich and happy city called Akiba? Will you be a mere servant to the Adventurers, supplying them with crops and minerals, or will you be their friend and help them prosper in their newfound prosperity - the choice is yours to make.
And that's exactly what Reinesia had been doing at the House of Waterflies!
If Reinesia lost this battle, it would mean that all the work Reinesia had been doing to advise the Earthlings and connect them with the Adventurers had been in vain.
It would be like admitting that it was right to wield the authority of the Duke of Maihama and buy specialties from all over Eastar to sell to the Adventurers from the very beginning.
When he had asked Henrietta earlier, the words "We won't stand a chance in this vote," Reinesia had nodded her head in agreement with the answer, but from that point on, it was as if fire came out of her face now.
She had almost thrown away the value of her work, which she had sobbed and hung on to, so easily herself.
The stupidity and shallowness of the situation was keenly felt by Reinesia, and this time she bowed her head deeply.
I'm sorry. I am sorry, Mr. Shiroe. It was unbecoming of a man of the blood of the Duke of Cowen's family to cling to his wisdom without showing his integrity.
 Reinesia apologizes firmly.
''I can't claim to have been sufficiently educated to be the successor to the Duke of Cowen. I never intended to be the successor from the beginning. ...But I still don't think I'd like to marry into Lady Saigu's family. I'm sure it's a mistake for a nobleman to do so, but I enjoyed working at the House of Waterfleet, and I also believe that Saimu-sama is not really interested in me. I'm not sure if it's because of my selfishness that we have been fighting this time. So if there is anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask. And if you have any wisdom to help the people of the land take root in this city, please let me know.
'Oh. Right.
Shiroe averted her gaze somewhat awkwardly, but Karashin's encouraging invitation, "This is, Shiroe-dono," seemed to teach Reinesia a lesson while scratching her head.

''As the Guardian War Maiden, the Guardian Valkyrie, right?
Shiroe, who sat down with her fist to her mouth, regained her seriousness and turned to face Reinesia. Reinesia also straightened up and asked back.
''Guardian warrior maiden, is it?
Yes, they have a guardian knight, don't they? The earthling. It's more like a knight looking after a woman.
'Yes. You're in charge of taking care of women before they get married.
Raynesia nodded. The air travel that came to this city. And that's why Reinesia stayed in this Akiva.
'Mr. Crusty threw it out.
'Yes! Throwing them out and running away is unheard of.
It's a good thing that you're able to get a good idea of what's going on in your mind. The irresponsible peeking into the mind of a spectral mind is an inexcusable memory of Reinesia's "guardian knight".
The adventurer had a feeling about Krusty's brutality (for which he had apologized to Liese and Sansa), and Shiroe awkwardly blamed Krusty for it. Reinesia was encouraged by this.
As you know, the adventurer has no status or gender difference compared to you. The Princess, would you be able to take over for Krusty?
''It's......... I have neither the experience nor the military strength to do that.
Siloe shook her head quietly at the hesitant Reinesia.
''I think we should just get Krusty and let him do that, don't you? You see, if I said that the princess would take care of her guardian, Krusty-san, on the contrary, she would look at me with a horrible look on her face and would not like it.
The expression on her face as she lifted the corners of her mouth was so awesome that even though she was used to being an adventurer, the overwhelming spirit of Reinesia made me feel as if a pillar of ice had been thrust up my spine.
"You're taking care of Krusty?
Yeah. You know, like, from the top.
It's all very exciting, isn't it?
But the proposal itself is fascinating.
Reinesia, who was still slightly frightened of Shilohé, asked coyly with an upward glance, and her response was a resounding "Yes.
I'm scared. But it's kind of dependable! Is that so......... (So this is the kind of dignity of a hero that Akatsuki-san trusts.......)
Reinesia nodded at Shiroe's thin smile, which seemed to be rooted in her roots. What that meant was, "I think that's a very good idea! It's an equal mix of "don't be hostile to me" and "don't be hostile to me".

I think that protecting each other is an important idea in creating a new Akiva. It's a way of helping a badass Krusty.
In the background of Shiroe, who continues to explain to me, Liese mutters, "Milord........ Michitaka's reply, "Give up, it's bad that you're not there". As Reinesia, I want to emphasize that point again and again. It's bad that I'm not there. That's exactly right. No matter what kind of heroes you are, if you aren't there, you can't achieve anything. That perception gave Reinesia an overwhelming sense of superiority.
 Krusty is not in Akiva.
 Reinesia is in Akiva.
That meant that Reinesia was the one who could protect Akiva, and Krusty couldn't complain no matter what they did to her.
(I'm not afraid of youkai glasses that can see through us and scare us! (You owe them one thing here, and you have to make them aware of the difference in their position!
As for the practicalities, I'm sure Crusty can get back to you, but before that, I'm sure the neighborhood can help.
Yes, sir.
Reinesia, who had renewed her resolve, accepted Shiroe's words with complete enthusiasm.
| Guardian Valkyrie>, may I ask you?
'Yes! Reynesia-El-Arte-Cowen. I would be honored to accept that role!
With all the talk about how unlikely it was that they were going to win, and all the talk about what they needed to do in order to win, completely overshadowed by the fact that Reinesia was in a good mood. If there is to be a new Round Table, I want it to be one created by the adventurers and the earthlings together.
Leinecia's only wish was that this new Roundtable be a place where adventurers and earthlings could work together.

Chapter 4.06

 And yet...
After a night, the exuberance of Reinesia's spirits had left the air. It's more accurate to say that the bug of laziness has appeared, or rather, the bug of weakness has attacked.
We must form a new "Round Table" and defend the work that Reinesia had been doing! But Elissa, who welcomed Reinesia back to the House of Waterfleet, said, "Thank you. The princess is now independent! He will build a new house. I know it's going to be a wonderful thing," he said, and I was completely offended.
 Elissa was not wrong.
Kicking off the marriage prescribed by the House of Corwin and denying him the work of a tailor and living as he pleases is truly independence. If she refuses to accept the marriage proposal that was sent to her brother Ycells to finalize his succession, and she also does not want to cause trouble in the Corwin family, she has no choice but to be independent and keep her distance.
From the common sense of the aristocracy, this is not an uncommon situation. It is not uncommon, but not out of the ordinary, for a second or third son to set up a branch of a family independent of the main family, or for an accomplished knight to set up a new family.
However, splitting a house is usually not welcomed, as it also reduces the power of the family, and is often the cause of the struggle or the result of the struggle. Reynesia's hopes are also, in a broad sense, the result of this "struggle".
Karasin's explanation was that the Cowens had taken the step of marrying Reinesia into the Saigu family in order to avoid the factional strife in the family. That would be true. But it is not the whole reason. Even Reinesia knows that some of the marriage diplomacy is a desire to improve relations with the Holy Imperial Westland through Reinesia, and to establish information and commercial exchanges.
Reinesia would not be pleased with the Corwin family's rejection of such a foreign policy. --He is a traitor to the patriarch's decision, if he can say it clearly without embellishing his words. He could even be imprisoned in a monastic temple, if not cut off.
(I mean, I'm getting scarier and scarier as I imagine it...)
The pale, pale face of Reinesia clenched her fists on her knees.

Of course, Reinesia does not intend to simply follow the orders of her house.
I'm sure you'll be able to find out what's going on in the world. If he had gone with the flow, the decision would have been made. However, in order to choose for himself, to have a job and a life for himself, and to prepare for those things to make Krusty chuckle, he decided to dare to disobey the duke's orders.
So it should be a shiver that sends a shiver down Raynesia's spine.
In the luxurious reception room, decorated with vases of spilled white flowers, Reinesia sat on the sofa facing her grandfather Duke Sergiad and her mother Saralia. It was too uncomfortable, and although she was inwardly spilling cold sweat lazily, she was desperately trying to mend her expression and keep eye contact with them.
Elissa and for some reason Karashin as a chaperone. And although the of the escort followed me, there were only three people seated.

''We won't allow it,''
Reinesia's report was cut off and discarded by Saraliyah without a word.
It hadn't even been five minutes since she started explaining.
''Mother........''
No.
Next to her mother, her grandfather crossed his arms with a dour, dare I say troubled, expression on his face. Or, it helped that he didn't show as much anger as she had expected, but Raynesia didn't know what she was thinking.

No matter how put off she was, she still needed to report to her parents and consult with them.
Rather, that was the first, high, high hurdle that had to be done in the first place, Raynesia realized when Elyssa told her that last night's exuberance had cooled down. If she refused to accept the engagement decided upon by her parents and the head of the family, she would have to convince them above all else.
That's why Elissa had returned home early in the morning in her escort's "Eagle Lion" (Gryphon) to her hometown of Ashime Castle, her parents' home.

"What is the problem?
Raynesia restrained herself from feeling weak, but still shook out the voice that she couldn't help but cringe.
'There are a number of things. First of all, there's the issue of ability. Reinesia said she wants to continue working at Akiva, but is she really capable of doing the job? Secondly, there is the issue of trust. I dare say it's a matter of personal appearance. The maidservants of the House of Maple are dispatched from the castle of Maihama, aren't they? Their salaries, the upkeep of the mansion, how are you going to pay for them in the future?
Mother Saraliyah is not furious, but her usual sharp tongue is ready to shatter Reinesia's explanation.
'The very thing is still a matter of spouses,'
Reinesia is completely pressured by the slender figure holding up her teacup as if to say that the explanation is over.
Even though she was her own mother, Saranja was nothing but a talented woman, even in the eyes of Reinesia. Her intelligent and logical tone provoked a sense of inferiority in Reinesia. The realization from childhood that there was no way they could win came back to haunt them.

If you're willing to forgive me for my exit, let me assure you that the Eighth Shopping Street will handle the first problem. In the first place, the reason why Princess Reinesia was desired by Lord Sergiad was because he thought her work and brilliance were indispensable to Akiva. What the Princess brought to Akiva as a consultant is no small thing. Her work is more than worth it.
It was Kalashin who unexpectedly gave us reinforcements.
I don't know where he was upset last night, but he's been taking care of me since this morning, and he's been giving me a lot of help. He also took care of the transportation arrangements and discussed something with Elissa. Even an anxious Reinesia said, "You shouldn't think that I'm angry with you. He's bothering me, he said. If you think like that, you'll be able to get along better with your boss," she advised.
When I cautiously denied that she was a mother, not a boss, she replied, "It's the same thing. There's a saying in our hometown that 'A man who stands is useless to his parents'.
I know from Akatsuki that the Adventurers live on the floor of the Tatami. When I put it all together, the adventurers are forced to stand and do things that are unreasonable, so they keep their posture low. I felt as if I had caught a glimpse of the Adventurer's secret.

"Regarding funding...
Elissa had her guards carry a wooden box with metal reinforced edges.
''The grant from Maihama for the House of Waterfleet has not been touched and will be returned in this manner.
(Heh! I'm not listening. (I'm not listening, Elissa!
When Rainesia saw the polite bow, she was so surprised that she almost turned around to visit him, but she held it back with her energy and smiled. Her forehead felt still and damp, and it was a cold sweat. Saraliyah urged him to continue with his story with a cool face, and he remembered that he always said that if he put his energy into a cold sweat, he would retract it.
(That's a peculiar constitution, and normal people can't do that. Mother.)
Reynecia still maintained her expression and continued to take the stance that she had asked Elissa to explain to her. If she didn't, she would be facing a harsh reprimand from Saraliya later.

'As you know, the Princess was in Akiba, collecting and consulting with merchants, merchant associations and noblemen from all over Eastal. The income from brokerage fees, consultation fees and commissions has grown unexpectedly large. I'm sure we will have no problems with the financial aspect of starting our own business.
How much money will it bring in?
It's a good thing that you're not going to have to worry about the fact that you're not going to have to worry about the fact that you're not going to have to worry about the fact that you're not going to have to worry about the fact that you're not going to have to worry about it.
It's not possible to answer this question. The job given to the princess by Duke Corwin's family was to 'show the sincerity of your apology to the 'Adventurer' and to bring back information about Akiva'. I've been performing both of these tasks without a hitch as part of my official duties, and as for the mediation and consultation, I thought it was the Princess's effort. As I've been assisting her, I think it's proper for a maid of honor to detail the finances of the household.
That's what you got to say.
Reinesia was not allowed to buy or eat anything in the city, and she received a small amount of pocket money from her part-time job, so she unconsciously thought that the House of Waterfleet was very poor, but apparently she was wrong. It's a good thing that you're not going to have to worry about money.
But he wasn't naive enough to be able to have that kind of pensive thought, on the contrary, it was an exchange of words that blew cold air.
If she took the time to think about the slight discomfort, it was impossible for her to not explain to her mother Saralia what Elissa meant by "all over the house," if it was the Corwin family.
(Didn't I just pick a fight!)
It's a good idea to be able to have a good time with them.
It's not because you're a brilliant and calm princess, as they say, but because you don't open your mouth, because if you did, it would emit an unintelligible scream of "fluffy, fluffy, fluffy".

It's for the sake of the lovely main muscle.
...and the lady in charge of the house?
While I was thinking about this, the conversation was progressing.
I've learned from talking with Akatsuki that there are intelligent people in the world, and compared to those people, Reinesia is not very perceptive.
The aristocratic attitude that I learned from my mother is, in a sense, universal. However, it doesn't stand up to the really scary "difficult stories that target Raynesia from the start".
It doesn't help me get my wish.
Reinesia listens, twisting between regret that she should have studied more and whining about how it happened.
''We are organizing that one as well. The twelve maids of honor have requested to continue working at the House of Waterfleet, except for the temporary trips. If their salaries remain unchanged, they are ready to be pulled out of the Duke of Cowen's household. I am also prepared to serve the princess.
 --I didn't know that either.
The palace maids and attendants all formed a line to see off Reinesia and her friends as they left for the capital of Maihama this morning. It was the same scene as the castle's chambermaids and maidservants as they escorted my father and his knights off to slay the Green Imp.
I wondered why they were exaggerating.
But that's not the case. It's a small thing, but it's the best they can do for the friends who have asked for their future.
They had their own family in the Bahamas, but they had bet on Reinesia.
Independence. Independence and a home. It was at this moment that Reinesia took the meaning seriously.
'....You've prepared for it.
It's because Salaria asked me to.
There are still a lot of things I don't know about Reinesia, and I don't know what to do or who is doing it, but I knew I had to at least try to remember the people who supported me.

'Reinesia?'
Whew!
But inevitably, I'm not getting to the point, or the wind of the conversation seems to have changed again while I'm chewing on something important I've noticed. If I responded to my mother's voice, my grandfather Sergiad also asked for our expression.
''What about your husband?''
I'm not here!
Raynesia shook her head buzzingly, without shame or disrespect.
'As for House Corwin, that's fine. The aristocracy is very important to me, but I will put it to the side for now. But as a mother, I can't put it to the side. What about your marriage? Don't tell me you're going to enter a monastic temple? I can't agree with that as a mother. It is my desire to marry and hold a child from Reynesia.
Reinesia was cornered by Saralia's argument and struggled to wrap her head around it.
'Well, the Corwens, Icelus........'
'I said as a mother, not as a nobleman.
At a loss for words, Reinesia's mind also goes blank.
If you ask me, that's true, but could it be that Saraliya used that kind of language to block the escape route? It's a complete change from earlier, and even the worried, slightly troubled expression instead of the cold, impassive one she had just given me would look like she was up to something if I looked at her with suspicion.
Anyway, I have to respond in some way. Raynesia tried to turn to the side to speak to Elissa, remembering the strategy she had learned from Henrietta, 'counting on your friends', and tried to speak to her.
'Pretentiousness, Princess. The same feelings are shared by Elissa and all the attendants of the House of the Waterflies.
(To Elissa!)
But that opportunity is controlled. Looking at Kalashin's side of the room with a little hope, he said, "Children's products... nice, that kind of peaceful business, nice! I received a murmur.

'Is your guardian knight sir away from Akiva or something? A little while now would be fine, but the longer it goes on, the more you're going to be left in the dust with your guardianship and a pathetic reluctant backbencher. This is not the pride of being an aristocrat. As a family, we don't want to see you like that.
Yes.....
Reinesia shrugs in front of Saranja, who sighs loudly.
'If there was a hole, I'd go in,' she says, 'but as for Reinesia, if there was a bedding, I'd go under it.
'You're in a daze and I'm afraid you'll catch your husband. Your father is trying to keep you on hand for his grandson's cuteness, and you're getting to be that old.
Saralia!
Sergiad raises his voice at the sheltering words, but his mother Saraliyah only drops one hand lightly in response and continues to speak.
'Father. Let me tell you something. In the year I was in Reynecia, I had received more proposals than I could count on my two hands, and I was the fifth book of notes on your husband's training plan. It's not something that should worry my family.
It's a good idea to be able to have a good time with them. If you can't rely on your companions, then the warfare lesson that Kushi Hatama taught you: "I myself will go out! That's it.

I will not be looked after as the Guardian Valkyrie from now on, but rather I will be the guardian of the Guardian Valkyrie, if you will. ...for the benefit of everyone in Akiba.......that
However, I don't think Reinesia herself would be able to convince her mother.
So, she decided to give her mother what she heard from Siloe. After all, Reinesia had been so impressed with the way Siloe had persuaded her mother that she had accepted the job. If the Akiva Adventurers were to rely on the words of their chief strategist, Siloe, their mother Saraliyah, a stalwart, would surely listen to them.
You mean the job of governing Akiva...?
Sure, I'll help you with that.
With Master Krusty?
By proxy.
I know that she's concerned about the relationships at her new job at Raynesia, but she doesn't need me to treat her like a child that much. As far as Raynesia is concerned, she has been a sincere advisor, and lately she has even been working part-time to deepen her understanding of friendships and nexus.
That thought was pertinent, and an intriguing light lit up in Saraliya's eyes, and after a moment of thoughtfulness for a moment, she turned her head slightly with a troubled and lost expression, erasing the momentary gaze that seemed to value her.
''........''
Um....mother...?
After a long, long silence, Reinesia asked, unable to bear the pressure, and Saranja sighed with a soft, forgiving expression, and acknowledged Reinesia with a soft voice.
''Very well. If you are going to be with Krusty-sama, my mother is willing to cooperate with your idea, too, if you are willing to join her.
Are you sure?
Yes. A hunting trip down memory lane will foster self-awareness. But you must bring Miss Krusty up here to say hello within a year. Is that a condition?
Reinesia nodded with a big smile.
No matter what difficulties awaited them in the future, there could not be a more difficult situation than this heartbreaking meeting with Mother Saraliya. When you think of it that way, you can believe that the future is also bright.
