That's the house I once bought.
Although the house was once set ablaze by Arti, the one who stole the reason for the fire, it had been restored to its former state.
The house is rumored to have been priced at a premium, but it seems that the two people who finally took ownership of the house were Maria and Snow.

A large number of books were stacked on the desk in the living room.
The titles were all related to magic, such as "The Basic Technology of the 'Jewelculus'," "The History of Magic Related to the Reincarnation of the Saint," and "Treatment with Sacred Magic 'Advanced Edition'".

''Kanami-san?'' I thought you and Deere were going to tour the city today. Well, I heard from Reiner,

Maria, who doesn't have much contact with me at work, seemed to have received a report from her secretary and knight, Ryner.
She closes the book she's been reading and makes a strange face as she sits up.

'That Dia said she'd like to be with everyone.

At the same time as I answer that, Dia appears from the Connection behind me.

"Maria, I'm here too!

Maria laughed very softly at the sight of him, as if in front of her family.

'I see that's what you mean ....... Welcome, Dear.
Yeah, I'm coming in!

Dia walked next to me and hugged Maria as she jumped up and down.
Seeing the intensity of their skinship, I can clearly see that a year ago, the way we met was bad - or rather, it was my fault for being in between.
And following that Dia, Snow also appears from the 《Connection》.

''I'm here too! So, I dash to my room to get my knitting set!

But he quickly retreated to the back of the house.

'And your sister? What the hell is this: ......
Kanami said she bought you a souvenir, so you should get one too. We've already had ours.

While Maria is surprised by the sudden arrival, Dia tries to accomplish her purpose in a straightforward manner, showing off her clothes. Along with those words, I activate the magic of the example.

“---Default Armament Destruction (Armor Break),â€
-Oh!

Unlike Dea and Snow, Maria was defensive.
But when she sees her clothes being replaced, she sees the effects of the magic and relaxes from her entire body.
Maria smiles bitterly and Dea is honestly pleased.

''Good. Now we're all together!
...... Is that the kind of magic you're talking about? Don't surprise me, Kanami-san. Normally, I would call out to you with an auxiliary magic.

His lips twitched and he put his complaint to me first.
But even as he said that, his mouth relaxed and his gaze turned downward, picking at the hem of his clothes.

Unlike the other two, Maria's coordination is almost the same as Yotaki's.
The formal ruffled blouse and skirt that goes well with her dark hair and dark eyes feels as if the youngest sister of the Aikawa family is wearing a hand-me-down.

''But I'm glad. Thank you, Kanami-san. I'll take good care of it.''
Yeah, I hope you take care of it.

When we responded, Dia sat down in a chair in the living room as if it were her home and poked her cheekbones across from Maria. I sit down in the chair next to her, too.

''Or rather, in the first place. It's Kanami's day off, so why were we separate ......? I'm with Kanami today and it's Snow's turn tomorrow, I heard from the Feydert guy ...... but apart from that, I'd have been good with Maria from day one, right?
Speaking of which, yes.

Why was it one at a time to meet with Dia and the others?
The inefficiency of this was a bit of a concern to me as well.

Basically, my schedule was set with the 'Senate' and others, but here, I strongly feel the laxity and sloppiness of the coordination - or, conversely, the strictness and consideration.
Maria seemed to sense this as well, and she spoke her thoughts.

''Perhaps it's the care of the 'Senate' people. Those people, they put their own stinkiness aside and don't trust us at all. They probably wanted us to spend time with Kanami-san one by one because they think of us as 'a boss character walking freely in the city' or 'something that will explode if we poke them poorly'. If it happens, we'll be able to mitigate some of the damage on the continent.

Probably, the faces around Rainer Kounel Feydert had their own meeting and decided on a policy of not mixing hazardous materials with each other as much as possible.
It is not hard to understand the feelings. In the event that Maria waved her arms with all her might in the air, the Confederation that she had nurtured would easily be reduced to a clearing. It should be fresh in their minds that a black stain was created on the world map a year ago in a battle that lasted only a few minutes.

I'm sure that's what happened. That's why they're harassing me in such a weird way.

The truth came out, and only Deah was very honestly angry, banging on the desk.
As Maria and I were quieting down her anger, Snow appeared from the back of the room and shouted.

'I've got it! Knitting set!
'Oh, that's your knitting tools. I heard they were all the rage when I was away.
That's right. That was when Kanami was working for the guild after her memory was erased. It's really nostalgic. Maria-chan in those days was cute and vulnerable.

In a roundabout way, it is Snow who is now saying that she is too strong and not pretty enough. Maria blamed Maria for that gaffe with a sharp look, but thanks to Dia, Snow was spared the pursuit.

'Alright then, let's get started! Maria, you can play knitting with me!
'No, I won't do it, okay? I can't make anything better than Mr. Snow anyway, and I'm not confident that it will be any more interesting than Dear: ....... I'm going to stay away for a bit and see how things go.
Funny thing, hey! You too? You think I'm a klutz too, don't you!

Dia and Maria exchange smiles like a family.
I'm sure this will be a shuddering experience for the 'Senate'.

''Hmph, sorry. Dear, I was just kidding. ...... I know that Dear has been working hard lately and training for something she's not good at. If you get a good one, please give me one. Let me clean up here rather than compete. As you can see, it's a bit of a mess.

With that, Maria stacks the books on the living room desk and tries to take them out.
I suggest that I help her and sit up, but she immediately refuses, saying "Kanami-san is a guest today," and makes me sit back down.

'Right. ....... I'll take care of it, Maria. I'll make it right for the three of you.

Surprisingly, Dia's knitting was so popular that three orders accumulated.
Then Maria moves the books into the next room, creating space on the desk.
There, Snow sets down her knitting tools, and I pick up one of the wooden stick needles and mutter to myself.

'It's been a while since I've knitted ....... Since you knit a scarf for Rowen?
'I've never done this before in my life. I've only ever seen other people do it for a little while.

Deere rolls the ball of yarn around on the desk and stares at the array of knitting tools.
She doesn't know how to use them, so she doesn't know which one to pick up first.

'I'll teach you, don't worry. Let's make a good one together and look back at everyone else. Now I can make even the weakest person learn a skill in a short period of time--

Enthusiastically, I stepped forward to take on the role of teacher.
Having unlocked the skill system, I now had the confidence to teach it successfully.
Lately, since I started working to make the hidden talents of the 'Jewelcrus' people blossom, I've been having a lot of fun training others.

No, I'll let Snow teach me, and Kanami will stay away for a bit.
What--?

Even now, I was about to take out my glasses and teaching from my 'possessions', but I was shocked beyond belief when Dia rejected me with an immediate response.

''I, y-yeah, this is in return for the scarf, so I want to do it without Kanami's help as much as possible. I mean, I feel like it's not like I'm suddenly learning a skill, ......, it's not the same. Doesn't that kind of thing feel a bit cowardly?

Snow nodded, agreeing with Dea's thoughts.

'I know Kanami is good at teaching, too. I've heard rumors about her in many places lately. But when Kanami teaches, the skill occurs in a short amount of time and is absolutely successful, right? That's something different, as Dear says. What a difference ......, it's not very heartfelt! My heart!
This, mind ......!

Indeed, even if I had Dia mastered the 'knitting' skills in a workmanlike manner and had her give me something magnificent as a gift with her power, I might not have my heart in it.
Even if the longest piece of work was completed, I feel that it would be me, rather than Dia, who created it.

After the fierce battle, I became weak in the face of that kind of persuasion and was defeated in the face of the word "heart". As if to chase after me, Dia nods emphatically to Snow's words.

''Ah, mind! Heart! I want to make a present for Kanami with all my heart, so just wait a minute Kanami!

 It's pure goodness.
It's easy to imagine Dia struggling to knit every single stitch, every single stitch.
And it's also easy to understand that Dia's knitting is more precious than anything I could have made at my behest.

'Kudos ......! Well then, I'll make something with me: ......

Reluctantly but convinced, I gave up on being Dia's teacher.
Then I gave up the seat next to Dia's to Snow and started to work on my own knitting in the seat Maria was sitting in.

'Yeah. Well, I'll teach Dea then.
You take care of him, Snow.

In front of me, Dia learns from Snow.
Both of them have a gleam in their eyes as they enjoy it, while I, in contrast, mindlessly work on my hands.

That my knitting was really unplanned and appropriate.
But it was also very calm and serene - and easygoing.

Unexpectedly, thanks to Snow and Dea, I feel like I've been corrected of my workaholic (workaholic) vices. If it wasn't for their words, I would have tried to systematically and perfectly accomplish even 'knitting'.

The important thing with a leisure-time hobby is to take it easy.
Trying to make something perfect, even talking about skills, is now close to work.

Realizing this, I enjoy the process, not worrying about the results, and for the first time in a long time I'm immersed in 'making something appropriate that can fail' instead of 'making a perfect thing that cannot be failed'.

............

Somehow the process reminded me of the past.
When I was very young, I used all the extra time I had to play a hobby (game) that could be saved and loaded in the 'original world'. It was a world where you could start over, so it was okay to fail. It was okay to lose. You could have stopped in the middle of the game, or you could have resumed it if you felt like it. It was very easy and fun.
Now I am able to spend that time in the "other world" as well.

And in front of me are two friends who are spending the same time with me.
Snow tried to set a good example by saying "Hold it like this, hold it like this," and Dea said, "Like this? And then I imitate them. When one of the processes was cleared, even though it was poorly done, there would be a resounding "Oh yeah!" of praise and a happy "Good!" in return.

I thought it was a tender time.
 Important, too.
 This relaxing time is irreplaceable.

 I know.
 I know that, but...

............

It was a bit lonely for me to work on my own in silence.
I keep moving my hands around in a daze for a few minutes.
I was just beginning to feel a sense of alienation when Snow called out to me.

"--What? Ka, Kanami, just take your eyes off of it for a second: ......
Hmm?

I turn my gaze beyond Snow's wide-eyed gaze.
Before I knew it, I had completed one of my fine knitting projects.

It's a woolen stuffed animal, modeled after a dragon.
It's about the size of a soccer ball, and looks just right for petting and hugging.
Dia also confirmed this and was surprised when she stopped working on it.

I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm sure it's a good idea. That's an amazing speed ....... 'But why the dragon?'
Why? It's like my hands were making up what I wanted, all on their own.

Maybe it was because I was immersed in memories of RPGs along the way.
I had to answer that, because I was really mindlessly working on it.
I was just as amazed as Dia and the others, and went on to check out how well the stuffed animal was doing.

 But it's cool .......
 It's very cool .......

The skillfully crafted plush toy had no tears whatsoever and was as complete as it was for sale. If you bought one at a theme park somewhere, it would look like it would lightly fly off an admonition bill.

The more I looked at it, the more dignified and heroic it became - and the more vicious it became.
The dragon is truly the pinnacle of fantasy creatures.

If I had one in my room, I would be very excited.
As I was admiring myself, Snow also stopped working and raised his hands in delight.

'With what I want, a dragon! I mean, me! You made a doll of me, Kanami!
'What? Snow?
'What? Because if you know Kanami and say dragon, I'm ......

I genuinely asked him back, as he came up with a name that I didn't associate with the words dignified, heroic, and vicious. I kept asking, "What? I manage to mend my words, passing back and forth between the question marks of "What do you mean by that?

Yeah, I guess so. This could be, yes, a snowflake.
'Oh, this! It's not me! It's more like Serdra's!

However, the reply was so crisp that even Snow could have guessed it.
And before I can start making excuses, Dea follows up with a follow-up.

'It can't be helped, Snow. He's still the only one who can 'dragonize' his entire body. Speaking of dragons, right now it's that guy in quicksand.
''Ugh. ....... I'm going to learn 'dragonization' and definitely master it. It's kind of like Kanami is a dragon lover. ......
Do that. But you're not the one being taught today, you're the one teaching. Snow, where do you want me to thread it next?

Unexpectedly, Snow was motivated to train in 'Dragonization'.
It was a pleasant miscalculation. Due to the increase in her level, she was beginning to experience aftereffects such as dragon scales on her body.
However, I heard from Serdra that it would disappear once she could safely 'dragonize' her entire body. If you can control the "demon poison" and blood in your body like he did, then there will no longer be any obstacles in Snow's life.

All the hardships caused by her 'birth difference', including her position in the Walker family, will be over.
 Finally, everything.

And I let my cheeks relax as I imagined Snow's future that lay ahead.
I also pictured the dark-haired sister-in-law who would be accompanying her in the future, when Maria herself called out to me from behind.

''--Hmmm. It seems you're not one of us by any chance, Kanami-san. Then why don't you make something over there with me?

After completing the evacuation of all the books in the living room and cleaning the room while doing so, she invited me to join her as she finished making one of her knitting projects.
The fact that there is a kitchen made of magic stones in the corner of my eye means that it must be a cooking suggestion.

''It's time to prepare dinner. Let's get started on it early and make something sumptuous for the two of you.
...... Yes, you're right. You've completed one, I'll go there.

What Dia is making right now is a gift for me.
Rather than continue to stare at it in front of me, I might as well stay away from it until it's finished.

I let the stuffed dragon sit in the center of my desk, as if I were proud of it, and then slowly sat up.
They didn't stop me while I was working. They were happy to send me off in anticipation of a higher grade for dinner.

Me and Maria moved from the living room and stood side by side in the kitchen.

'I miss it a bit. We cooked together here like this once.

That being said, I too miss the past.
The time we cooked together was before we defeated Tida, the one who stole the logic of darkness, and fought Arti, the one who stole the logic of fire. It was a time when we were doing a lot of things.

''Maria had a talent for 'cooking', so I taught her once, right?''
'Yes. Kanami-san has entrusted me with the cooking of this house because I'm about to lose my place in it.
'Oh ....... Come to think of it, it was. I don't know why. It feels so long ago.
'Huh. Remember that very long ago when Kanami-san asked me to cook for her every day?
'I remember ....... I remember saying a lot of indiscretions, a lot of thoughtless things.
'Yes, really, Kanami-san was a rash person. But that indiscretion is what keeps me alive. Probably, if it weren't for Kanami-san, I'd be dead as a slave.
'That's the only part of the story: ......, was I being rash? Yeah, I'm glad I did.
Yes, I'm very happy. I'm very happy to be able to cook with Kanami-san now.
'Yes ....... Thus, it was nice to be in the same kitchen with Maria again .......
'Well, technically, the house burned down at that time, so this is a different kitchen. Look at it carefully. We had a wider work surface than before. Isn't this nice?
'...... No, let's just treat it as the same kitchen now. It was just a stream of memories.

Maria giggles when she sees me suddenly removed from the ladder.

The joking around was really easy and casual.
After confirming that we're in the relationship we once wanted, we roll up our arms and get enthusiastic.

'--so let's make it. It's a lot easier to make now that it's wider, than it was before.

First of all, I took a quick look at the foodstuffs around the kitchen.
It's more than enough for two people.
All of the equipment is well maintained.

Since we are here, Kanami-san. "Since we're here, Kanami-san, would you like to try 'cooking' now? We'll each make it up as we go along and let Deere and the others judge the winner.

Maria suggested to me, imitating Dia.
She smiled challengingly as she posed to make a power hump with her thin, exposed right arm.

She must be confident that she can win.
You don't even have to look at the status to see that he has raised his arm more than when he was taught before.

'Sounds interesting, but we're going to do something else today. Maria, clothes aren't the only souvenirs from the 'original world'. Phew! ......

I let out a confident smile, even more so than Maria's, and take out the things I've purchased from my 'belongings'.
First, salt, sugar, vinegar, mirin, etc. for the table.
One after another, I put them on the cooking table and spread them out.

'Is this a seasoning ......? It's an amazing number ...... or rather, the container is something I've never seen before.
Plastic containers. I'll empty it all out for you, just to have a taste.

He removed the wrapping and lid and handed them to her one by one.
Maria shifted her interest from the game to the seasoning, dropping a bit on the back of her hand before licking it off with the tip of her tongue and washing it down with the recently opened tap.

'Is this salt ......? It's salt. But it's something different from this one.
It's salt. It's not just the difference in formulation, it's a mixture of flavorful ingredients and stuff. Okay, now let's go to .......

Seeing that Maria is accustomed to tasting, she doesn't hesitate to hand over the liquid as well as powdered types.

''Oh, you can tell the soy sauce (soy sauce) by the smell alone. Over here, it's a specialty of the north.
The soy sauce is a remnant of me and Ayde from a thousand years ago.

Maria couldn't read the Japanese on the container's label, so it was a bit of a quiz game.
If it were true, I should have explained the name, ingredients, place of origin, and method of production before tasting it.
But there was a reason I didn't want to do that.

''--Hyah! It's hot! This is hot, Kanami-san!

It was kind of fun to see the always clever Maria's various reactions.
With that outpouring of desire, I dare not offer any explanation and continue to hand it to her.

'That's a type of pepper, it's called a habanero. Next--

I will enjoy each and every one of Maria's rare expressions as payment for the souvenirs.
Then we finish checking out more than ten major seasonings and start tasting some of the slightly more unusual seasonings in the 'original world'. Nampa, balsamic vinegar, garam masala and turmeric for curry, and finally--

"Hmm? Kanami, is this ......?
That's the honey and that's the chocolate sauce.

The taste test comes to an end when we get to something a little out of seasoning.

'Sweet and slightly bitter ....... It's delicious. No, really, this is medium .......

Maria dribbled it onto the back of her hand several times and tasted it in succession. Kounel also liked the chocolate, so it seems to be good for the mouths of the residents here.

That's all there is to it. Let's make dinner with all these condiments. It's a holiday, so feel free to go to ......, not to compete. It's just a matter of being willing to make mistakes.
'Sure, I'd rather have that than the competition. At ......, let me do the main dish. I've got a lot of things I'd like to use.
Well, I think I'll just make some dessert.

I decided to take my time and cook.
And I'm convinced that the chocolate will be well received, so I'll volunteer to make a dessert.

I've also bought a plate of chocolate, so even if I just roast it in hot water and change it into various shapes, Dia and the others will be happy. It's a good thing that the date of the 'original world' happens to be close to Valentine's Day and I've stocked up on a lot of them cheaply.

However, just making them wasn't enough.
One of the reasons why I didn't take the win earlier, but now I can adjust it to the nanogram level.
That's a level that could easily replicate the first-class restaurants of my childhood memories.

"Okay, I've decided--

So I will make another dragon.
I can make the luxurious chocolate and candy works that you see on TV or in shows, if I can make them now.
This time it was not a western type dragon, but an eastern type.
I would like to make a beautiful long and thin dragon, not a big and massive one.

It's ....... Are you trying to make a dragon again, Kanami-san? Are you trying to make a dragon again, Kanami-san?

Just before I got into the spirit of the game, Maria, who looked a little dumbfounded, came over to check it out.
I've been read in the unexpected, so I look away and ask back.

"Oh, did you have that look on your face?
I'm not sure, but I had a feeling you looked like that. I really like you, dragon.

 There's no denying it.
For the record, I like dragons.
I know that this is the flavor of the game experience that was imprinted on me in my childhood.

But that's why dragons were my absolute passion.
I think the dragons in my enemies are always the strongest level, and just having a dragon at the head of a technique name or armor makes me feel strong.

''You don't like them Maria? Aren't dragons purely cool?
'I don't love them or hate them. It's true that the dragons in the books, even at ......, are usually powerful enemies. They're not very harmful to us today, but they're definitely a symbol of the power of the past.
'Thank goodness you understand: ....... Thanks, Maria. So, I'll make a dragon.
'What? Oh, yes. No, I didn't understand how cool it was.

Maria wanted to say a lot of things, but I'll assume that she understood me, so I'll forcefully continue with my "so" and get to work on the dragon.

I'm going to make full use of my skills in cooking, confectionery making, and sensitivity, as well as mobilize all the ingredients and items in my possessions to make the coolest possible product.
Of course, with the use of magic, I'll be able to make it even more perfect.
Measuring with magic 《Dimension》 and regulating the temperature with magic 《Heat》 and 《Freeze》.
When combined, they could recreate any special cooking method.

But that's exactly how the word "heartless" fits.
As Dia and Snow said, it's the holidays and I'm going to tackle dragon making with all my heart. I feel like there's still a slight, proud-ish trace in me that I don't want to be a coward when it comes to making things.

'Huh. ....... It's unsettling.

My loose face must be really easy to read.
Like a sister, Maria lets out a deep sigh and then starts working on another dish next to me.
However, her cheeks are as loose as mine, too. It was obvious that she was inwardly buoyant, wondering how to use the seasonings from the 'original world'.

Thus, we move on to our respective tasks and start cooking.

The kitchen is quiet. Instead of conversation, the only sound is the gentle, holiday-like sound of cooking.
The clinking of utensils and the thumping of knives as they chop ingredients are heard.
These natural sounds were intertwined with the voice of Snow teaching Dia in the living room behind her, creating a very pleasant sound of life.

It's been a long time since I've heard such peaceful sounds of life.
Like listening to an orchestra in a concert hall, the sound enveloped her whole body softly and the vibrations shook her body. The sound of my own breathing, which I don't usually pay attention to, comes through loud and clear, and I feel like I'm becoming part of it.

I'm back in my daily life.
Listening to the sounds of life that seem so--.

 Daily time passes.
But it doesn't diminish as if it were hunting me down.
Time is passing gently, as if it were healing me.
The word "passing by" is the same, but the meaning of the word "passing by" is almost as different.

--I've been cooking at my leisure for several hours.

The sun that had been rising has begun to fall, and the time is approaching evening.
The hustle and bustle of the city that reaches your ears drops off considerably.
The sky was beginning to turn red and the day was coming to an end.

If this were a real orchestra, it would be when a movement has changed.
I hear a voice shouting for the end of the work.
The voice wasn't mine or Maria's.

It was neither me nor Maria.

I turned my attention to the living room and saw Dia was about to run up to the kitchen with a glowing smile on her face.

'Kanami, take it! Thanks for the gift!

In his hand, there was a substitute that could properly be called a scarf, though its shape was a bit distorted.
The length is a little short, and the color is a calm indigo. The pattern is familiar.
When I moved my gaze, I saw Snow wiping the sweat off her forehead with a "huff" behind Dia. In her hand was the scarf that Dia had received from me. Apparently, she used my scarf as a model to make a matching one.

Thank you. ...... I'll use it carefully.

Maria and Snow have given me scarves as well, so my 'possessions' are full of winter warmth gear.
 But I was happy.
That gift was even happier than I thought it would be.

'Oh, take good care of it! I'll take care of it too!

When I heard the words, "Use it carefully," I was a little bit - shaken (...).
My heart, which wouldn't have moved if I were in the opposite position, felt like it was indeed shaken now.

'Dier, don't you have any for me?'

With a whimper, Maria peeks out of my back and demands another one.
And Dia looks apologetic and shakes her head.

'Sorry, Maria. One thing was all I could do. But I'm sure the same one will be ready soon. Now, I'm going to make it!
'Then that's a treat for another time. We're going to dinner now, so Dia will have to help me carry it out.

Maria had finished her cooking just as Dia had finished one, too.
The main course for dinner is a meat dish with plenty of newly acquired seasonings. There are sub dishes such as fish, soup, salad and fruit, making it a full course.

From a cursory glance, it looked like there was more than enough for four people.
Dia was surprised but worried by that sumptuous meal.

''Oh, that's a lot of food. Can't we have extra of this at ......?
'It's okay. If you have any left over, there are many ways to store it, so don't worry about that.

I guess I made too much today as a party.
Maria spoke on the assumption that there would be an excess, but Snow and I shook our heads.

'I'm here, it's okay! I'll eat a mess!'
'I can eat as much as I want these days, too, so I don't think I'll have any left over. It seems like the higher the ...... level goes, the less fuel efficient it gets.

The two of us, both of us large, bring our meals out of the kitchen in denial.
The large table in the living room is being replaced with a wide variety of food from a wide variety of knitting tools.

And at the end of the serving, my dessert is also placed in the center of the desk.
Seeing this, Dia tilts her head and asks for an explanation.

''So, I've been curious about ......, what's this?''
Dessert. It's the best thing I've ever done.
Dessert?

Even after it was explained to her, Dia's doubts still persisted.
It's because the model of the dragon, which is unnecessarily realistically oriented and with a degree of perfection that you can't tell it's a candy, is sitting on a platter.

The size of the dragon is not that large.
However, the platter is covered with cookies and matcha tea that resemble the earth and plants.
There's also a human-shaped chocolate (similar to Rowen's) that tries to pull it out of the ground of the pastry, with an iced sorbet sticking out of the ground that resembles a powerful sword.

To put it bluntly, it was a model of a candy scene (diorama).

'It looks hard to eat: ....... How do I get my hands on it? Are we allowed to break this in the first place?
'The concept is to enjoy the colour, to break it down, to enjoy eating it - that's the concept. Of course you can break it down!
'Of course,' you say, Kanami ....... That's the puppet from 'The One Who Steals the Reason of the Earth', isn't it? It's kind of awkward to break someone you know.

I was pretty excited to have my masterpiece in front of me.
Dia, by contrast, remained troubled the entire time.

Unlike Maria, I thought Dia would be pleased with it, but that prospect was off the table.
Even if she could understand the scene model (diorama) itself, she didn't seem to understand what it meant to be an edible candy. In the "original world", cakes and other items with Santa Claus on them are common, but in the "other world", it seems to be something unfamiliar.

It's a good idea to be able to have a good time with them.

'Let's leave Kanami-san's usual natural blahs alone and eat quickly. It will get cold.'
'...... Oh. This is going to give me a headache if I take it seriously.
Maybe it's because Kanami, the magic ghost, made it. ...... If I eat it, something is going to happen. The blessing is too much, and if you eat it carelessly, you'll feel like a bumblebee. It's uselessly artistic, so why don't you enshrine it in a cathedral?

The reviews were mixed, and everyone's interest shifted from the scene models (dioramas) to Maria's food.
I shrug my shoulders, expecting them to be a little more pleased with the food, if not raving about it.
Dejectedly, I sit down in my chair and clasp my hands together.

'Itadakimasu ......'

At my deflated voice, everyone's cheerful "Itadakimasu! continues.
First Maria carves up the main course of meat, and then Dia and Snow pours it into their mouths, getting the best smile of the day.

'It's better than the restaurant ......! That's what I'm talking about, Maria.
It's so different from my usual food, it's kind of tangy! -- another one!

Maria's food, which had gained the skill 'cooking', was highly praised.
I lagged behind everyone else, and I too put the meat in my mouth.
Instantly, the juices of the meat spread in my mouth and I was filled with a sense of happiness. The spices I hadn't used before were used well, and the perfect amount of spices brought out the flavor of the meat.

 A total loss.
I'm not taking Maria's cooking match, but I feel defeated on my own, and I start to work on my other dishes.
Dia and the others don't seem to be able to stop, and the dishes that I thought I couldn't finish are gone in the blink of an eye - but my dessert, sadly, remains almost intact.

The chocolate ground portions were lightly tended to, but there was no sign of the dragon and Rowen (the candy) crumbling.
I felt like I was really going to go the route of being enshrined in the cathedral at this point, so I had to stick a spoon in the ground myself and destroy the scene model (diorama) and bring it to my mouth.

In the midst of such a delightful dinner, we talked about what we were up to.
Dea is happy and fights with Franlure every day.
Snow and Maria get along well with each other and spend their days with the Walker family, the four great aristocrats.
I proudly tell them where I have my hands in the city.
We continued our idle chatter into the night.
