54-Art. 54. The Day When Prine La Mode Becomes...

Prine la mode. Fifteen years old.
Job: Mage.
Skill: [Blessing of the Witch].
Occupation: Adventurer.

I have no parents.

My father died when I was small.
My mother left me when I was very young and disappeared.
I was five years old.

I was easily orphaned, sent to an orphanage, and bullied daily by my brothers, but fortunately I was picked up by a large merchant family.
His name was Lamode.

With a stable route to import sugar from the South Seas, Lamode is a well-known merchant family among the nobility. Their customers include the royal family. It is a royal brand.

The current head of the family is Francis Casta Lamode.
Grand master of the Lamode family.
He has further enlarged the Lamode family which he inherited from the previous generation.
He is 65 years old.

I was desperate.

Abandoned by my parents, living in a miserable orphanage in a not-so-great environment, I was desperate not to be abandoned by my new guardians.

To be honest, I have no idea what my stepfather, who was about the age of a grandfather, was thinking.
He always looked angry and remained silent. I was so scared when I met him for the first time after the old maid took me by the hand and brought me to the house. No, I'm still very scared.

Perhaps because I was bullied a lot at the orphanage, I had learned to make my presence less noticeable so as not to disturb others, and I quietly continued to be scared so as not to be kicked out of this mansion so as not to give up my full of delicious food, clean clothes, and warm bed.

My three sisters were my natural enemies.

The Master was predeceased by his first wife at a young age and remained a bachelor for several decades before taking a second wife about 20 years ago. He and his wife had three children. All of them are girls.

Vanilla, the eldest.
The second daughter, Krim.
The third daughter, Chocolat.

For me, these three were very strong.

All three of them were free-spirited and very self-centered.

My sisters were irritated with me, sometimes yelling at me, because I was too shy to listen to other people's opinions or too slow in whatever I did. But apparently, it was a normal thing among the three of them (my sisters fight with each other often), so they forget about it without a care. I was always worried about them and it made them irritated and annoyed me.

But the Master never sent me back to the orphanage again.
My sisters did not kick me out either. Well, they probably didn't care that I existed.

Anyway, I was accepted into the Lamode family.

Thus, I became Prine Lamode.

A change of surname does not change the essence of a person.

Abandoned by my own mother, I lost confidence in myself as a human being, and I continued to live my life as ever, frightened and scared, holding my breath so as not to offend others.

He even sent me to school. I was clumsy and failed in everything I did, but I could do well in academics. So I decided to at least do well in academics.

That's why I was such a good student.

I could stand up to any man, even a grown man, and even beat him.
I felt it was inevitable that I longed for a cool older brother who would immediately come to me if I was bullied, protect me from bullies, and kindly extend his hand to me.

'Prine, I heard. I heard you're going to be in the show.
'Are you sure you can do it?'
'You're always breaking plates. Are you okay?'

I look down at my sisters and reply to their words.

'Oh, yes. ....... Maybe ......'.

They all have fianc es.
Noblemen, soldiers, merchants, all of them from prestigious families. I guess they are going to see the show today with their fiancee.

But that's good, isn't it, Prine? But it's good for you, Prine.
'Well, I don't like her at all. He already has four wives.
'Of course, he's a great nobleman, isn't he? But I understand why you don't like it. I bet he thinks women are nothing more than flowers in a flower bed.
'Hey, you don't have to talk like that in front of Prine, do you?

When the oldest sister rebuked her, the other two sisters nodded in agreement.

I wondered what was going on,

'Prine is being courted by the lord of Franca, you know.

I didn't understand what he meant.

'............ yes?'
'That's why you're being courted, isn't it? Oh, your father didn't tell you?''
'I didn't ...... hear about it. ......'
'Well. I thought today's show was going to be a rehearsal for the wedding.
'Is it a surprise that it's a real show?'
'It's possible, ugh.

--I'm getting married to a nobleman ......?
