25 - deep-fried food

Mr. Locke, we're in a hurry. We can eat on the way.

"Don't worry. Isaac and the others will never beat us. Let's go back to the motel and eat and talk about what we're going to do. We should go back to the motel and talk about what we're going to do over dinner.

"That's very kind of you, but are you sure you're okay?"

Shannon is concerned, but she's fine.

When I saw what Isaac and the others had bought, I was sure of it.

The dungeon we were going to is a day trip away.

Back to the inn, and back to the Ark of the Sacred Beast once more.

--I'm hungry, Rocky!

Lucky sounds like he is dying right now.

Just wait a minute, it'll be ready in a minute.

Well, let's make fried chicken today. It's quick to make, yet tasty, hot and filling. It's such a happy food.

First, cut the chicken meat into pieces. The lucky ones are a little bigger.

Mix seasonings and spices well, sprinkle corn flour on it, and deep-fry it in oil at once.

Then, you can already smell the delicious smell of oil that tickles your nose.

Then fry it twice and you are good to go.

The smell attracts Lucky, who is standing right next to the fryer, sniffing wildly.

"Lucky, you're too close!"

Lucky's nose is too close to the corn flour, but he doesn't listen to my warning.

"Mr. Lucky, your nose is all white."

"Pa-pa-pa, Lucky's nose is white!"

 I'm really joking.

--Rocky shun

"That's why I told you, but you wouldn't listen to me."

----"Because I can already smell it's good.

"I'm almost ready... just give me a minute."

I really wish I could have shredded the cavetto right here. But if they're not coming in, I don't have a choice.

"Here you go. It's hot, so eat slowly."

Lucky eats it in one big gulp. It's not hot?

----Yeah. This is good, Rock. Give me some more.

Apparently Lucky has a heat tolerance.

"I'm making a lot of it, don't worry."

"Papa, you're all out of control Lucky, I'll have another one too!

Patra seemed to like the fried chicken too.

"Is Shannon okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine."

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. There's plenty more where that came from."

We continued frying until everyone was satisfied.

I remember one of our former party members used to like fried food.

I don't think we'll be eating together again.

Everyone looks satisfied when they eat their fill of fried food.

Seeing their faces makes me want to feed them delicious food again.

I'll have to earn money to do so.

"Well then, here's what we're going to do. We have to thoroughly defeat Isaac and the others to earn money."

The new green dungeon is two to three days away one way if we go there normally.

It would normally take a week to complete a request.

But that's if you take the regular route.

The regular way requires leaving the royal city of Krondt and passing through the commercial city of Willy.

It takes a day and a half to reach the commercial city of Willy on foot, and another day on foot from there.

It would be faster if you take a horse-drawn carriage, but from Willy you have to go on foot in any case.

However, the fresh green dungeon can be reached in a straight line in less than half a day.

The actual distance in a straight line is very close, although the forests, swamps, and rivers along the way make it very difficult to walk.

However, Isaacs and his team may not have confirmed this.

Even if they had checked, I doubt that they would have gone on a road without a road.

 People don't change that easily.

Also, looking at the baggage they were carrying, there was a lot of camp stuff and not a lot of food.

Food is a bit cheaper in the commercial cities, so they probably chose to go there.

 And the direction Isaac went.

That's the direction where the horse-drawn wagons are. We'll pick them all up while they travel slowly in the wagons.

We have nothing to lose unless we get into some trouble in the woods.

"Well, now that we've all eaten our fill, let's get going.

We left the inn as we were.

After I left the city, Shannon and I got on Lucky's back and rode through the woods.

There was no demon in the forest that wanted to fight Lucky, though there were signs of demons.

But after running for a while, I heard a loud cry.

"What could that be?"

"I don't know, but let's go there.

I asked Lucky to head that way, and there was a big stone statue crying loudly.

"Lucky, let's go back!"

"The statue that won't be touched is cursed.

But I guess the statue already knew we were there.

 It's looking at us.

When we turned around and pretended we didn't see it, it came running at us.

Oh my god! We shouldn't have approached it so carelessly.
