41 - a problem child of the Knights.

"Brother... Don't do that, you'll get hurt!"

Patra crossed her arms to guard against the knight's kick and flew backward herself.

"You! What are you doing to my child! Are you okay, Patra?"

"I'm totally fine, Papa! I'm fine, papa. Maybe a little faster."

 Patra didn't seem to mind.

Rather, she was provoking him naturally.

But kicking her out of the blue, there are some things you can do and some things you can't do, even if you're a knight.

"Huh? It's wrong to bring a demon here. This is an arms shop! This is a place to buy things to kill them. Aren't you here to try and cut them up?"

"You've got to be kidding me. You can't be so arrogant!

What? Who do you think you are?

The man beams with confidence, as if no one knows who I am, but I've never seen him before. Have you been here for the ogre strike?

"What?"

"I don't know."

"Is he a thug?

"You're a pervert who gets pleasure from kicking little girls, aren't you?"

"What the ......?

All four of us said what we thought, but for some reason we all froze.

Although he was dressed as a knight, he was neither the commander nor the vice-commander of the knighthood we had met the other day, but a lot of other people.

I would have remembered them if I had been involved with them, but it was difficult to know all of them just because they were Knights of the Order.

The man's face turned red and he suddenly started to make a fuss.

"You guys better stop making fun of me! I'm Misael, the man who is said to be the closest to the next head of the Royal Order of Knights. Remember that!"

"I don't know if you're a knight or close to the leader, but you can't just kick a fellow knight out of the blue! Don't you know anything about common sense? I thought you said he was the closest guy to getting fired, not the closest guy to the Commander."

"Shut up. The owner would understand, wouldn't he? It's not good enough to be an arms dealer in King's Landing if there are demons like this hanging around. Don't you think?"

Matteo shakes his head in panic, perhaps startled by the sudden rejection.

"No, no, Locke has been a regular customer of ours ever since he came to King's Landing, and he is kind to both demons and people. What are you doing here? You came in here out of the blue. I don't appreciate your insolence even if you're a member of the Order. Are you really a member of the Order? No one I know in the Order would do such a thing. You didn't steal ...... that armor or something, did you?"

Matteo defends me, but I don't think he understands a word I'm saying.

When I realized that I was at a disadvantage, I suddenly ignored Mr. Matteo and started talking to Shannon.

"Hey! You're a slave, aren't you? I'd rather protect you as a knight of the kingdom than be at the mercy of a man like that. Wouldn't you rather be with me than with that monster of a man? They say elves live longer. I'll take good care of you even if you're a bit old.

"What did you just say?"

Shannon's words were more forceful. Shannon's words were strained, as if the word "haggard" had offended her.

I didn't even mention my age.

"Oh, the old hag got on your nerves? Of course it's an old lady who comes out here. She's a detail-oriented old hag. That's why I hate old people."

"No, it's not! You deserved to die for making fun of me for calling you an elf, but more than that, you made fun of me for calling Mr. Locke a monster man! Get out here. If you don't understand a word, I'll discipline you myself."

He was angry at me for saying such a bad thing about him. I put my hand in front of Shannon's and stopped her from going outside.

"Shannon, you don't have to get mad at me like that. I'm angry too that you called my sweet Shannon an old lady, but ...... it's a waste of time. Cross-cultural communication is very difficult. Especially with people who don't speak the same language and have a different set of common sense.

"You! You're f*cking with me. You're an adventurer! I'll turn you into rust on my sword!"

Misael puts his sword in his hand to draw it, but another man from the knighthood enters.

A new guy. I don't want any trouble.

But at least we'll get back at him for what he did to Patra.

I'm ready for a fight too, and as I'm about to put my hand on my sword .......

"You idiot! Can't you even get a single information about the theft of combustible rocks!"

A fist strike hits Misael in the back of the head and he falls face-first to the ground.

He is completely jerked up, as if he had been knocked unconscious in an instant.

It may have been a surprise blow from behind, but the fist bone was unrelenting.

A fistbone that would normally hit the ground directly from the head is no longer a deadly weapon.

"Oh, I'm sorry. He's the son of a stupid nobleman. He's an exceptional member of the Order... and he gets into trouble all the time. I'm sorry, Mr. Locke. I'm going to have to punish him very severely, if you'll forgive me."

It was Marcus, the Knight Commander, who hit Misael.

 Marcus seemed to know me.

"You know your own name. Patra was kicked out of nowhere, but ......"

"Papa, Patra will be fine. She was so weak, I'm sure she was just trying to be nice to you.

"Patra says she's fine, so you owe me this time, but more importantly, Marcus, what are the Knights doing in the arms shop?"

"That's right! You must be a moguri if you don't know Mr. Locke, a class S adventurer. It's more of an honor to have you remember my name. I'm really sorry about the other kids. I'm here to investigate combustible rock. ...... How often do you run out of combustible rock?"

Marcus apologized to me and to everyone else and bowed his head.

He doesn't really dislike adventurers, he just doesn't get along with the guild leader.

 I almost hated the Knights.

"I guess I get one or two a week," he said.

"I got a call that they are out again today, how many are out today?"

How many have you lost today?" "One today."

Marcus and his team were here to investigate combustible stones, but if they were doing this kind of thing during their investigation, the reputation of the Order was bound to suffer.

"Do you have any idea who did it?"

"No, I'm ashamed to say that I have no idea. In the city it's one every couple of days, but the Knights have had quite a lot of them stolen in bulk. Everyone's on edge."

Marcus then asked Matteo for more information, but he didn't seem to have any new information.

As the Knight Commander left the arms shop, Mr. Matteo sighed deeply.

"The knights keep coming around like that, but they leave without getting any new information," said Matteo. I don't know if they really want to find the culprit.

Matteo's eyes were filled with anxiety as he gazed at the door through which the Knights had left.

If there was such a strange person in the Knights, I don't know if they are doing this to gather information or to make a big commotion.

It would take a long time to solve the problem.
