109 - - Lucky and Sledding

"Well, then, I guess I'll have to go with you once."

--Rock, come sleigh ride with me--.

Lucky is wagging his tail furiously, wanting me to go sledding with him.

But from the outside, it looks like a fall in the name of sledding.

"I understand Lucky's feelings, but ...... it is indeed a good idea to jump off this cliff. ......"

"Mr. Locke, let's go for the experience."

"Yes, Master!"

Shannon and Mellow came at us with tight smiles on their faces, "We've been there too. The pressure was too much. Even so, I had to ...... somehow find a reason to refuse.

"Oh, ......, uh, ...... right. Here ......."

----If we all go, it won't be a problem.

Lucky's tail swishes wildly at the top of his lungs, creating a small tornado.

"What? No way."

"Mr. Lucky, I'm fine."

Mellow and Shannon try their best to escape, but there is no way they can outrun Lucky. He dexterously lifted the three of us onto the sled with his paws, and with a burst of wind magic, he leaped into the air.

For a moment our bodies float in the air, and we feel light.

"Shannon!

Mr. Mellow!

With me in the center, the two of them take each other's hands.

The horizontal sled turns into a slant, and we glide down the slope at an incredible speed.

Lucky feels more secure in the sled than I do, but it's fun.

More than anything, Lucky holds the three of us with his front legs as if he were holding us in his arms, and it feels good to have a nice, fluffy backrest.

This is something I'm going to get addicted to.

The sleigh slides along at high speed, gaining even more speed.

--Rock, this is fun.

"Yes, it is. I can see why Lucky is hooked."

--Right? Then I'll go faster.

Shannon and Mellow look at me for a moment like I'm a monster, but I'm sure it's just my imagination.

Lucky accelerates me even more with his wind magic and the scenery around us seems to flow past.

"Lucky, this is a bit much, isn't it?"

--Okay--.

You really ...... don't know how to take it too far, do you?

Shannon and Mellow are already frozen in fear.

 I hold them gently.

"It's okay. It's going to slow down soon."

"Mr. Locke, ......"

"Master ......"

"Please tell Mr. Lucky to slow down."

--Buff? ----

Lucky turned the wind magic against him and the sleigh slowed down and stopped safely.

"Lucky, that was fun, but please tell me if I'm going too fast or too slow."

--"Lucky, it was fun, but I was just excited. We all wanted to ride together, didn't we?

 Lucky nods, covering his tail.

"Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, you know."

Seeing Lucky's unusual nodding, the two men gently call out to him.

"Lucky, you've got some balls, don't you ......?"

"Yes, I have. It's good to try, isn't it?

--Shannon, mellow...... then try again......--

""I'm not getting in!""

The two of them are breathing perfectly together.

"More importantly, where was the magic wind tunnel?"

--A little further...--

We put the sleigh away in the box yard, and with Lucky leading the way, we saw a black tornado forming in a slightly open area.

It was a size larger than the one we had seen in the previous cave.

Why is it in such an open place?

"Lucky wind magic at ......"

As I was about to have the magic wind tunnel blown away, I noticed that the ground had been carved back.

------Rock, what's wrong? ----

"Lucky, can you use wind magic to make this black stuff disappear so that it doesn't carve up the ground?"

--Yes--.

When Lucky dug up the ground after he had erased the magic wind hole with wind magic, he found a black crystal with a spiral pattern drawn in white lines buried in it.

"Mr. Locke, what is that?"

"I don't know, but ...... the magic windhole may have been artificially created. I'll talk to Domorte later. If it is artificially created, it must mean something.

I put the black crystal in my pocket.

------Till then, let's go sledding one more time: ......----

Lucky looks at Shannon and Mellow, but then looks away.

Apparently, he could tell they were serious.

Yeah. It's important to read the atmosphere.
