125 - - Dragon Past 1

Once upon a time, the Dragon people lived in the farthest lands that mankind could never reach.

I was born and raised there.

It was a place where only dragons and the higher races lived. A world of the weak and the strong that had not yet been raped by humans.

It was dangerous, but for those of us whose strength was all we had, we were content.

At that time, humans did not come to our place of residence, and we had only heard legends and oral stories about them.

--Humans are a cunning, kind, self-centered and caring species for their small size. And very weak and strong.

My grandfather used to talk about humans as if they were riddles.

I didn't understand any of them, but I really enjoyed listening to my grandpa's stories about humans.

From our point of view, humans were just characters in a fairy tale. The land where we lived was such a harsh environment.

But one day, a human came to our nest as if taking a walk.

 Grandpa was quite surprised.

We didn't mind the presence of humans because they were too small to feed us, but we were surprised that humans, who were said to be weak, started living by our side without being afraid of us.

Curious, I was always looking at the first human I met from a distance.

He was not afraid of us dragons and would catch fish over 10 meters long, grill them and serve them to us. In retrospect, I shouldn't have put him on the same level as ordinary humans.

There were various non-dragon species in the place where we lived, and there was a lot of trouble, but after he came, somehow we became friends with the other species.

There were all kinds of people there.

The Rom, who are said to be the fastest people in the world, the Hui-inum, horse-like demons who hate fighting and eat only grass, the Barons, a lion's mate, the Jenny, who float around in the water grass, the Knockers, Gnomes, Hebeemoths, Lizardmen, Stone Fiends, Fenrirs, and many more... There were many demons and races.

I don't even know how many there are, including some I don't know.

Many of the demons there were among the strongest in the world.

There were stories of demons that came close to here and became demon kings or ran amok and were sealed away.

At that time, we didn't know such things, so forests were disappearing and mountains were blown away every day, but the resilience of nature in that area was also amazing. Sometimes a blown down mountain was twice as big as the next day.

Thinking about it now, one creature there could exterminate all the people in the area.

There was no way a human could have entered such a place alone, but it came as if taking a walk, and survived without being killed by anyone.

At first we just watched him from a distance, but as he gave us fish and meat of magical beasts, we gradually began to communicate with him.

Somehow, he spoke our language and brought a new culture to our home.

Little by little, we went from a world of killing and robbing each other to a world of co-existence.

There was a line between demons like us who had a will and demons who did not have a will, and there were times when demons with a will cooperated with each other.

Getting along with other demons was a lot harder than we thought it would be, and there was a lot of trouble because we didn't speak the same language, but it was still fun to be able to cooperate and get along with demons that we didn't know, and it expanded our world.

We gradually became accustomed to the man's presence in our lives, and his presence became a normal part of our lives.
