In the center of the village was an imposing-looking house, which I didn't care about because it didn't have any special signs on the outside.
However, when I pushed open the door, I was shocked by the decorations inside.
How could someone decorate their house like this? Are you sure this is the Mayor's house and not the guild hall of something?
"Don't just stand in the doorway, you idiot! This is just an NPC's home, so there's no need to wait for someone else to entertain you, right?"
"Hey, hey, hey, that's not the problem at all! This isn't the Mayor's house! This is totally a guild hall, huh?"
Instead of looking like it doesn't matter, Aria looks at me with a 'you're so nosy' look.
What? Has this guy already assimilated with this strange world because he's been here for a long time?
"What do you two want with the old man?"
At that moment, an old man with a white beard and a standard village headman appearance walked in from the back room, crutches in hand.
Other than the word 'Spanish' and the LV1 logo still attached to his head, it was largely unobjectionable.
"Take the assignment!"
Alicia said very impolitely.
"Alicia, it's better to be polite to old people anyways, isn't it?"
"So you're an idiot! Look at this guy from where he looks like a real person!"
That's right, as soon as Alicia said the words 'take the task', the other party's body suddenly fixed. Then a white dialog box appeared on the village chief's head. It was the same as the prop dealer uncle from before.
A series of tasks were listed on it, the very first few had been marked with a red cross and looked as if they had already been completed.
This...I hate to admit it but my desire to vomit is about to spill over.
Bear with me, this isn't the place to spit....
Alicia ticked off a few more tasks on it, then walked up to me and brushed me over.
That's right, not pulling me over, but just grabbing my hand and flinging it in the direction of the mayor!
The number -78 appeared before my eyes here, and I looked at Alicia furiously while covering my face that hit the dialog box.
But the other party tried a quick gesture at me, completely ignoring my stare.
This guy.......has a really bad personality.
Looking at the dialog box here, the quests on it have changed.
The quests that just brought a red cross have become selectable, but only 1~3 quests.
After I reached out and selected three, the others turned grey as well.
"See? That's the strange quest system in this world, you can only take quests that are lower than your level, and you can only choose the number of quests that are below your level."
Alicia proudly puffed out her completely uneven chest and said, then dragged me out the door.
"Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing?!"
"I'll take you on a mission! These quests are 7 days old, wouldn't it be better to solve them earlier?"
"Aren't you going to ask how to get out of here?"
"Which NPCs know how!"
The dialog box on the other side disappeared just as I left 3 meters away from the mayor.
"Goodbye~"
I said this to the mayor as I was leaving the house.
The other smiled and nodded, sort of hearing it.
"Wait, there's no use in directly leveling up like that, isn't what we're looking for supposed to be how to get out of here?"
"Ahhhh, I know if you don't tell me, but I have absolutely no clue right now~"
The other let go of his hand, then turned to look at me.
"I've looked through all the rooms of everyone here, and there's absolutely nothing useful. And it's surrounded by mountains, the surface of which is smooth on the outer ring, so even if I wanted to destroy an opening on it that I could climb up, I couldn't do it, so what else can I do?"
"Any attempts to get all the tasks done?"
"Well, there's only two more that haven't been done, so I'm telling you to hurry up and get out of this place early!"
"So..."
I could only nod at her eager, completely unconcerned face, and then follow her in the direction of the village beyond.
