Is this...are you kidding me?
I looked incredulously at my strip of blood and at the wound in my chest, the slowly oozing blood and the painful sensation of the blade penetrating my chest didn't seem fake at all, but a strip of blood, something independent of this world, shouldn't be something that could be faked either.
And when I looked around, there was no one around, including the direction the dagger flew in, it felt like I didn't see anything.
So what the hell...what's going on?
Is it a hallucination?
But looking at the position of the status, there is indeed a blank space on it, which means I should have no status at all right now... unless....
Unless hallucinating isn't a state.
I quickly turned on the comm unit and sent messages to the left and right.
"Hurry to my location, I have a lead on the assassin."
Then, I spread my wings to add blood to my body and, at the same time, summoned a piece of ice, then slowly pressed the blade out of my chest, after all, if I reached to my back and pulled the knife I might just rip the wound bigger, this rate of blood loss... no, I'm totally not even losing blood right now, I really don't know if it's still a good thing or a bad thing.
With a forceful top, a dagger fell to the ground with a snap.
"Oh my god..."
I took the ice off and checked the wound on my chest. The wound on top had healed, so it seemed the wound behind me should have the same effect.
But when I turned around, I saw the unthinkable.
On the ground around me, there was nothing.
No blood, no dagger.
It was as if there was nothing before.
d*mn it, what the hell is this thing?
Was the other party fast and retrieved the dagger in a flash?
No way, there's no point in the other side even if they do this, with this speed they can just spike me and rub me, and how would they dry all the blood on the ground?
So, there's only one answer.
Also, the others confirmed my thoughts for me.
'We're at your location, but you're staring at the same spot, completely ignoring us.'
