404-Chapter 19 Sound Demon

As soon as I opened the door of the stone house, an accordion music drifted out directly from inside, and at the same time, a strange feeling came up.
I subconsciously opened the skill bar, and in the next second, after I saw the message on top of my status bar, I even clicked on the wide area's negative status's disarming magic, and an aura surrounded the three of us.
"Oh, Sensei, you really did find it."
My disarming abnormal status aura disappeared as soon as it flashed on Kenan's body, well, I just remembered that this guy is a summoned phantom and won't be neutralized at all.
"Your ability is really handy, if you draw an identical person out, wouldn't you be able to frame someone else."
"Indeed."
Kenan's phantom said.
"It's all drawn, and unless I know what I'm drawing very well, he'll just be a phantom. The man in front of me is what a murderer looked like 500 years ago, but I've only seen him from the pictures, so at this point he can't do much more than walk around as my shadow. Even his attack power is less than that of a child."
A little kid? Are you talking about the roadside mud-playing kind or the Ojado or Sally kind? Well, but I think he lost the former.
"Okay, let's not talk about that...let's talk about Geraldine."
I directed my attention to the young girl playing the accordion at the front.
What can I say, I could tell that she was playing very seriously but after I used the magic that lifted the abnormal state, the other party's music became... harsh.
That's right, it was harsh. It was out of tune from time to time, paused from time to time, and felt weird no matter how you heard it.
But the listeners other than us all looked like they were enjoying it, and were intoxicated.
"What do you think, teacher?"
"I think that Geraldine adds strange notes to the music so that those who hear it hear the phantom sound and then revel in it."
"Well, you could say that."
"Hey, hey, hey, that's against artistic pursuits, I don't know much about you guys, but it's obviously cheating."
"If she did it on purpose, it's cheating."
"Your consciousness is that this is something she did unconsciously?"
"Pretty much, I tried, I told her straight away that she was playing very well and I wanted her to play a song at random. At that point her music is very good. But if she plays it in front of a lot of people, her music takes on a phantom sound because she wants people to agree with her music."
"...So once you identify with her in the beginning, she won't use such an ability."
"Because such an ability comes out of her subconscious and she doesn't have control over it."
"........"
"Don't look at me like that, I'm only explaining it here to help you get to know your students, teacher."
"It sounds like...you're still very interested in this event, so why don't you come to school?"
"Even shadows?"
"...It seems you have a lot of hard feelings as well, is it possible that the person who will be coming with us then is also your phantom?"
"That's not true, I'll figure out what to do about my problem then."
"Well...okay, for the sake of helping me understand Geraldine so eagerly."
And then I looked at Geraldine.
The young girl sitting on top of the concert stage was her, holding a deep black accordion in her hand, all but wearing a long white dress.
Her long gray hair was tied up and set to her left shoulder, and her eyes were closed the whole time she was playing.
"This is the next one, uh, so her music will make strange notes based on her subconscious and then confuse people, then what?"
"That's all, just like me, her powers come from her subconscious, so to speak, and she's untutored."
"So your summoning technique is based on the same principle?"
"Who knows, maybe it's just that we're extraordinarily lucky?"
Well, I'm not going to dwell on that.
And all that's left to do now is...let the young girl playing music in front of me know what she can do and come to class.
And that's when the music below ended and there was a loud applause.
They were all bewitched....
Wait, if her subconscious made her do it, it meant that she really wanted people to agree with her, maybe....
Thinking so, I walked straight up to Geraldine's face.
The other side also noticed me, and a puzzled expression appeared on his face.
"Excuse me... what do you want from me?"
"I said my name was Phil, do you know me?"
The other shook his head.
"Well, at any rate, I'm your teacher at the Imperial Academy. I suppose your family left you a message that a teacher had come to see you?"
"I...I haven't been home in a long time...that, and I'm not going to the Academy, there's no one there who recognizes my music!"
"Che, is that the layer of your music?"
"Eh?"
I stared at her seeing.
"You're so fond of your music, but you only let people who approve of it listen to it, but you don't know how to sensitize those who don't, so that's the level you're on, right?"
"I...I'm not..."
The other side took a few steps back and leaned against the wall.
Well, thanks to her music, those listeners were in a semi-conscious state at this point, and they must not have reacted to our following conversation.
"Huh. You can't even move me, so what are you talking about."
"...Take that!"
Suddenly she looked up at us, and there was a red light in her eyes!
There are only two things that can happen to this spooky eye in my mind.
Either it's innate, or it's one of ghostly, demonic, or maniacal, and it was only after seeing the change behind her name that I realized my impressions needed to be revised.
Geraldine Campbell (Seal Unsealing Stage 1)
Musician LV30
Neutral - Cowardly - Idle - Self-satisfied - (The Sealed One) - (Demon of Sound - Martin) - Music Lover - (Mind Controller)
........
My class is really crowded. How many is this again? A third demon?
That's four with me, isn't it?
I pulled out my weapon, then looked to the side at Kenan.
"Get the others to take shelter...by the way, you did this on purpose, didn't you? You know the right thing about her, don't you?"
"Well... just by the trust of her family."
Kenan looks helpless as well, but I don't trust his innocence.
"Well, that's kind of what you owe me, and the Campbells."
I looked over at Geraldine, who now had her demonic wings spread out behind her and a fierce look on her face.
What a waste, it was obviously a beautiful woman.
The next second, though, she fiercely pulled the accordion on her hand, and a visible wave of sound spread right through!
"Orgy-Ice's Imperial Garden!"
The ice wall rose up, separating us from Geraldine.
But those sound waves went straight through the ice wall and passed right through our bodies.
And in the same instant, the magic that disarmed the abnormal state on my body was directly lifted, and at the same time, the surroundings suddenly quieted down.
"...Eh?"
When I regained consciousness, there was no one around, not a single person in the entire concert hall, no demons, Ojado, Kenan's apparition, and the audience had disappeared as well.
"...Oh no."
I tried to open the terminal's menu, but I found that I couldn't open the status bar or anything other than the blood bar or something.
Even the skill bar!
"So that's why I hate this stuff..."
In desperation, I looked around the room, then headed towards the door of the concert hall.
It couldn't be helped that it was the only place that was glowing.
Even in a game at such times you should follow the hints, right? But it's a very bad feeling.
After all, the illusion and all that is what the other person wants you to see, so how you actually are, you don't know.
"Let me see what exactly you want to do."
Thinking that, I pushed open the door to the concert hall.
