367 After-examination of promotion test

Luna's enhanced flame knights beat Gad to a pulp.

If he had died, he might have been able to surrender to Luna when she revived him. But Luna has a personality that does not allow her to kill people even if she knows they will come back to life.

 That was Gad's bad luck.

Because Luna ordered the Knights of the Flame not to kill Gad. Through her auxiliary magic, five of the Knights of the Flame became Liushin's strength. One of them stayed by Luna's side to protect her, while the remaining four attacked Gad.

The four Liushin kept attacking Gado while holding back to prevent him from being killed. It's been quite a while since I developed these (Knights of the Flame), but now each one of them has its own will, and after being summoned, they are fully automated to take the most appropriate action.

My flame knight was a magic that grew.

And the magic with the will was stored in Luna's bracelet. Apparently, the knights of the flame know what's going on around them even when they're stored. Well, if that's not the case, they wouldn't be able to see my family in trouble and jump out on their own, so it's not a setting error on my part. I'll take that as a yes.

The point is that the knights knew what was going on.
They knew that Gado could do it.

And the knights act like they're happy when the owner of the bracelet they're stored in compliments them. That's how I feel about it. This is especially true of the five that guard Luna.

There was a time when the knights escorted Luna while she was exploring a dungeon. When she was praised after achieving her goal, the knights paused and rejoiced.

Luna is favored by my magic (Knights of the Flame).

 The knights love Luna.
The knights love Luna. She loves them so much that she cast a spell to help them.

That's why the knights of the flames are so eager to f*ck her, I guess. I think this part of my character is inherited.

"Oh, no...

Gad was about to say, "I'm done," but the Knight of Fire wouldn't let him.

The knight with the flaming spear lands a clean shot to Gad's face, and then raises his fist to appeal to Luna. Luna claps when she sees this, and the other knights, as if to say, 'It's my turn to be praised,' strike at Gado one after another.

Watching from a distance, it seems as if they are fighting well.

Gado seems to be a tertiary physicalist, so his physical endurance is high. The knights, who have the physical ability of Ryushin, but can attack with strength and subtlety thanks to Luna's auxiliary magic, are directing the battle so that it looks like that.

The battle is made to be prolonged in order to get a chance to be praised by Luna.

I feel sorry for Gado, but .......
I decided to let him try a little longer.

Before the test began, Irina, the guild master, had told me that I should take it easy on Gad. I thought it would be a bad idea to take it easy on him, so I used mind-reading to check his memory...

I decided that I didn't need to go easy on him.

It seems that Gad had once done to an adventurer who had come to take a test, something similar to what the Knights of the Flame were doing right now. In addition to that, he had been doing whatever he wanted with his power and the power of the Kingdom Knights.

I don't know if he'll change his mind if we hunt him down. But we decided to do it because Gilmas (Irina), who will be taking care of us in the future, asked us to. Some of it was a bit much, though.

I'm going to do this...

Gad's battle(?) It's going to take a little longer.

 ********...

I'm not sure what to make of this, but I'm sure it's a good idea.

After the test was over, I deactivated the dungeon of the arena and summoned everyone.

"Good job. You all did well.

Irina took one look at Gad, who was lying charred on the floor, and with a satisfied look on her face, she thanked us. From what I saw in Gado's memory, Irina was also annoyed by Gado.

"Have you all been accepted by Gado?

Yes!

Good. Then you are all C-ranked from this day forward.
No, no.

Gado, who had been charred to a crisp, got up and waited for them.

"You guys are strong. Too strong. That's why I'm not ....... The Knights of the Realm consider you to be a danger to this nation!

"You're too strong and dangerous, so we won't allow you to be promoted to C rank?

Of course!

 Hmm... I'm in trouble.
You don't need to read Gad's thoughts to understand.

Even if we back out, he'll tell the whole country we're dangerous. That's the kind of guy he is.

If that really happens, we might not be able to stay in this country.

Maybe we'll have to go into exile in Alheim, Tina and Refa's homeland, or Bestiary, Meldy's homeland, where I'm the owner. I'm fine with that.

But that'd be a problem for my family. The fact that my family has produced someone who is considered a danger to the country is a big negative factor. Normally, they would be stripped of their titles and excluded from important positions in the country.

My brother Leon became the captain of the Royal Knights, and my other brother Cain rose to the rank of the King's SS captain. .......

I can't be bothered with that.
 So...

"I'm sorry, Brother Kai.

I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that.

That's right. You guys are too strong.

Cain appeared as if he were splitting the space.

He seems to be imitating the covert skills the King had mastered. I'd say he's a monster, too.

I had noticed that Cain had been watching our test from a distance. That's why he ran away with us when Akari attacked with all her might and came back here with the others.

"What? Who are you?
"Long time no see. Captain Gad.

Cain used to be a member of the Royal Knights. He was a captain like Gad, so he knows him.

"Brother Kai.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'll leave it to you.

After saying that, Cain walked towards Gad.

"My brother's a dangerous man?

...... Oh. I mean, so are you.

No, I don't want to be a part of this.

 Oh, no?
My brother Kai is not on my side?

It is true that my brother is a monster, and many of his family members have extraordinary strength.

"Then!

But the king of this country approves of it.

"What about ......?

Here. You can find it here.

Cain then handed Gad a piece of paper.

"What's this?" "Knights of the Realm, banned from .......

I'm sorry, I made a mistake. I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that.

Cain says with a nice smile.

You've gone too far.

"No, no, I can't. The king must know that no one but me can hold the 20th Company's hand!

Don't worry about that. My other brother will take your place as well.

 What? Brother Leo?

............ No, you won't. I mean...

I'll figure it out. Don't worry, he's my brother.

Oh, maybe Brother Kai hasn't told Brother Leo about this yet. That's what it felt like to me. I could easily imagine Leon complaining to Cain when he heard about it later.

But like Kai said, I'm sure Brother Leo can handle it.

"By the way, you've been doing whatever you want, so the government has decided that you can be 'disposed of'.

"What?

 Gad's expression clouded.

He was going to grab his sword right after that, so he thought about running away. But he gave it up.

I burned the sword he tried to grab, and there were enough forces here that even if there were a hundred of us, we couldn't win.

It's up to me to decide what to do with you. ......

I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that.

Halt. What do you have in mind? I'm not going to kill you because you're my former colleague.

 Oh, me?

I'm not sure what to do.
 What should I do?

"Sir. This one is classified as a strong member of the human race. As long as you work on his guts, he'll be a useful asset.

Well, what do you have in mind? Citri.

Yes. There's a man under your command who's excellent at training young men. You can leave it to him.

 Training the next generation: .......
 Oh, could it be!

Is that him in the dungeon in the ruins?

Yes, sir. That's him.

I see. ....... Well, that's certainly a possibility.

I think we know where Gad's going.

HART. Are you sure you want to do this?

"Yes.

I've decided to leave it to a certain demon teacher(s) to knock Gad's rotten guts out.
