What is this?

　I woke up in the morning and walked down the hallway to the cafeteria and the hallway was darker than usual.

　I thought it was going to be a bad day, but it wasn't.

　There was a huge tree growing in the courtyard.
　The tree was blocking out some of the sunlight.

　There was definitely no tree like this yesterday.

''.......What's going on?''

　There's no one to answer, but the question comes out of my mouth on its own.

　This is my mansion, right?

　I opened the door to a nearby room's doorway.
　It was a familiar parlor.

　It was definitely my house.

　It's the giant tree that's strange.
　I feel an incredible energy.

　I remembered that feeling a little bit.

　It's similar to the power I felt when I was approaching the World Tree in Alheim.

'....No, no way.

　It feels almost like a world tree, but there is no way that the huge tree in front of me is a world tree.

　The tree that lived with the world since the Book of Genesis cannot be allowed to grow in such a place.

　For now, I decided to investigate it more closely.


　I get closer to the giant tree.

　There was a tree that was originally planted in the courtyard, but it seems to have been absorbed by this giant tree.

　The trunk of the huge tree was thick enough that about five adults could hold hands and manage to surround it.

　What surprised me more than the thickness of the trunk was the height of the tree and the spread of its branches.

　The giant tree grew to a height well over three stories tall, and its branches spread out like an umbrella, enough to completely cover my compound.

　The giant tree's branches and leaves blocked the sky, but it didn't completely prevent the sunlight from reaching me.

　There were gaps in the sky in just the right amount of time, and the gentle light wrapped around my mansion from there.

　Of course, it wasn't as bright as it was when there were no giant trees, but it ensured that there was enough light to stay under the trees.

　This is what it's like under the World Tree in Alheim.
　More and more, I'm wondering if this is the World Tree.


　I touched the huge tree.

"This is...

　The inside of the giant tree's bark was like a spirit world or a narrow space. The tree contained a larger space than it looked like.

　As I turned my attention to the inside of that space, I felt something stretching its magical power towards this tree.

　This magic power is........a sylph?

　It was the magical power of the Spirit King Sylph who had suddenly stopped coming to visit recently.

　What in the world is he doing here?　What does that have to do with this huge tree growing here?

　I'm not sure, but the sylph's magic power seemed to be looking for this huge tree.

''Well let's connect it.

　The magic power is poured into the giant tree.

　He manipulates that magic and extends it to the magic of the sylph.

　It's connected.

　As soon as the narrow path of magic power was created, an enormous amount of magic flowed in from the sylph.

　With the magic, something was flying towards me.

"Aaaaaaah!
The sylphs jumped out of the giant tree.

　A sylph jumped out of the giant tree.

　Since she jumped out with quite a bit of force, I caught her while falling backwards to soften the impact.

''Oh my God, you startled me──that's.......Halt?''

　Sylph, who raised his upper body, seemed to notice that I was underneath him.

"I'm the one who was surprised...
It's Hurt!

　Sylph hugs me.
　I'm on the ground, so I can't avoid her.

　Something about the sylph seemed to make her happy, so I let her be at her mercy for a while.


'It's been a while, Sylph. What have you been up to?

Well the World Tree is in trouble, and I've been doing something about it.

What?　I mean, is that all right?　Is there anything I can do to help?

　The crisis of the World Tree is the crisis of Alheim.
　That country has been able to prosper because of the benefits of the World Tree.

　Alheim is the home of my wife Tina and Rifa, so I was willing to do whatever I could to help.

Is there any connection between that World Tree abnormality and this giant tree?

　Sylph stopped moving when she saw the branches of the giant tree covering the sky. She didn't know what this huge tree was either.
