159-Chapter 159: Within the Case

After arriving in Canale, we made our way to Canale Castle.

Although Canale Castle is not as old as Sempra Castle or the castle in the imperial capital, and it is not a very high class castle, it was still an incredible feeling to be the lord of the castle myself. Even more so because in his previous life, he was a nondescript Lehman.

I entered the castle. It feels like it's been a long time since I've been inside this castle. The first time I went there was when my father got sick, so I went in his place.

I suddenly wondered what my father would think when he found out I was the Mayor of Canale County.

Would he be surprised, pleased, or both? I imagined the look on my father's face and a pang of sadness welled up in my heart. To make my father in heaven happy, the Rovent family must definitely survive.

Menace gave me a tour of the castle. I didn't go around the castle much when I was there before, so I wasn't familiar with the interior.

It was a three-story castle, with a dining room, hall, reception room, treasure room, armory, kitchen, pantry, and baths on the first floor, a book room, common room, military council room, and living quarters for the vassals on the second floor, and living quarters for the lord of the castle and his family, a study, and an office on the third floor.

Compared to the Loebent family's house, it was much larger, so it took us a long time to get around. I would have liked to take more time to look around, but I had many other things to do, so I limited myself to just a quick look.

I decided to have the servants who accompanied me and those who remained in the castle prepare the residence, and ask Menace for more details in his office.

In the office, there was a large desk in the center of the room. Several shelves were lined up against the wall, and inside they seemed to contain materials related to the territory.

'Please look through here first.

Then Menace handed me a stack of papers.
There were quite a few sheets of paper. I looked through it to see what it was, and it seemed to be a piece of paper that contained information about the entire Canale County.

Various things were written about the military situation, the food harvest, the amount of taxes paid, the population, problems, the security situation, maps, resources, and many other things.

When I was governing Lumberg, I had compiled the information, but it wasn't as many pages as I would have liked because the size of the city was small and there wasn't much information to compile.

It took me about two hours just to finish reading the whole thing. My eyes are tired. I remembered that in a previous life, if I sat and read something for two hours, not only did my eyes hurt, but my back and shoulders hurt. Maybe it's because my body is younger now, but I don't have much pain.

As far as I can see, it's still on a larger scale than the Lamberg. To begin with, it has information on Lumberk. Come to think of it, I was supposed to send you a paper with information on it.

''That's all for guidance. Please discuss and decide what kind of territory management you will be carrying out from now on. Oh, and the lords of Canale County, you should invite the lords of the county to the castle as soon as possible. In the meantime, I've informed you that the county mayor has changed from here.
Thank you for the tour.

I guess I had been instructed to return to Belzud early, and the guide was finished sooner than I expected.

I decided to write and send a letter to each of the lords early and then discuss with my vassals how to run the Lumberk in my absence.
