10-The reason for Helm

Nole, I mean, are you okay with this?

I'll be fine...

I managed to get the crying Noll to stand up and we moved out of that place. Bistros Forest wasn't that long of a forest, so we were able to get out in a few hours.
She didn't cry forever, and she soon stopped crying. However, she had none of her usual energy and would only respond gloomily when I called out to her.
Today the sun was down and it was dark, so we were camped out, but for now I was left alone with Noll.

'Don't be so depressed, huh?

I'm not depressed, sir...

He doesn't look at me, but turns away from me in a gym seat. He's completely bent over.

'But then again, I've always wondered why you don't want to expose your true face like that.

''Ugh, I knew that Okura-dono was being careful to go through with it. To tell the truth........I'm no good with a bare face, you know.

Okay, I have no idea. I knew you didn't want them to see your true face, but what's the point of ruining it?

No, be more specific.

When you realize that someone is looking at your true face, you can't move your body as much as you would like. It is embarrassing. And my tone of voice will return to its natural state.

...You mean you have stage fright? It's certainly not good to be that distraught just because they saw my true face, isn't it?
Even the tone of voice changes, it's already advanced into the realm of self-suggestion. Does riding a motorcycle change your personality or something like that?

Can't you just keep your tone down?

No, sir! You will lose your identity as a knight!

He finally turned to me and replied in his usual tone.
But I don't think your tone is your identity either. It was nice to have a fresh way of speaking, though.
The GC setting didn't say anything like that...was it an internal setting? It would be a shame not to see his true face.

She was pretty, though.

Is she pretty?

Oh, no, it's nothing.

Oh, man, I can't believe I just said that. Anyway, she was really cute.
I'm at the level where I'd be prepared to invest all my savings if it was to be implemented with that. I liked it too much and it was bad.

But it's a good thing that you were able to see Okura-dono.

Hmm? What does that mean?

I wonder. I'm expecting some kind of meaningful statement.

"I mean, isn't it weird for me to be like that? But if it was Okura-dono, he wouldn't mind it too much, or perhaps he would just laugh it off.

I can't say that I didn't think it was weird... I mean, honestly, for a second I thought, "Who the hell is this guy? But that was a good thing.
I used to laugh with my stomach in my mouth when I saw him talking in a state where he didn't have a possible tone of voice. But it's good to see him talking without a face and with a sense of embarrassment. I'd be convinced that she's a maiden.

Hmmm, I guess so. I'd rather see more of that.

Well, that's not really...

Noll let out a troubled voice, writhing and squirming.

'Oh, don't worry about him. He doesn't like it, and I won't ask you to force him to see it.'

Oh, Okura-dono.

'Whoa! Yikes! Hey, idiot! You'll have snot and tears on you!

She jumped on me as I was standing in front of her. I hugged her to bury my face just around her belly, and something liquid was flowing from underneath the helmet.
You know this guy is dripping snot and tears! I mean, Helm is mired in pain.

"I'm going to stay close to you for the rest of my life~

Have you calmed down yet?

'Oh, yes, somehow. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm sorry, sir.

Whoa! I calmed the loudly crying Noll down and went back to Mr. Glynn and the others. 'Noor's making my clothes soggy and I'm going to dry them by the fire.

"Oh, no, that's no problem. I'd rather thank you. You guys are amazing. You can't beat that Cyclops single-handedly.

After defeating the cyclops, I was able to bring my client back and bring the carriage back safely. I was somewhat itchy after being thanked a lot by both my client and Glynn-san for this.

''It's not just Fanya-chan, you were pretty good at it too, weren't you? My eyes are clouded, too.

To be honest, I wasn't really aware of it...

I had no idea how much I actually was, since the comparison was Noor.
And thanks to seeing the status, I finally realized I was an anomaly, too.

"I guess you guys are going to join the Sting's Society of Adventurers after all, aren't you?

The Royal Capital Adventurer's Association, huh? I'm not really interested in it, to be honest. Rather, I'm only interested in the immediate mess, and I haven't looked into it at all except for the city of Brunne.
I just know it's not a proper world when just defeating a demon turns it into a drop item, though. I guess I should look into whether this is a GC world or a different world.
If it was the GC world, then there might be some event characters and stuff.

'Hmm, it's hard to say. I might visit the Sting once, but I don't know if I'll use it as a base.

'Oh, well, yes. I was wondering if you could stay in Brunne if you could.

I'm talking about the lack of high-ranking adventurers in Brunne at all. As I recall, I heard that the highest rank is B.
Maybe the people who live in the city want them to be a force to be reckoned with.

You guys would definitely be A-rated adventurers. I've heard that Fanya has a few tricks up her sleeve. Then it might be the equivalent of the A's I used to see.

No, you're overreacting.

That's all right. I'll be proud of you guys when you're famous. It's a very shameful story that you saved me from.

Haha, laughing, Mr. Glynn takes a drink.
A-rated. I don't particularly want to stand out or anything like that. But that doesn't mean I don't want to stand out.
My mind is occupied with drawing gacha and pulling units and equipment. But if you get to a higher rank, you'll be able to get a lot of information from them, so is it possible to become one...?

We delivered the carriage to the village of Lberg and walked for two days before we returned to Brunne. We were attacked by orcs and other animals on the way back, but we made it back without incident.

"Are you sure you want to share in the reward?

'No problem. If it weren't for Mr. Glynn, I wouldn't have been asked to do it.

100,000G for the request achievement reward, and the Cyclops' drop item, Cyclops' horn, sold for 20,000G. It's safe to say that the three of us can split 40,000G each. I had only been party hunting with Nol until now, so I was in a bit of a bind with how to split my share.

''Thank you for accompanying me this time. If it weren't for you guys, I would have failed in my request.

No, I'm glad I could help.

Oh, and I think you guys better get up in the ranks.

Why?

That's because you won't get in trouble when the time comes. You stand out. The adventurer ranks are a great way to intimidate other adventurers when they get in trouble, you know? Well, you can listen to my bullshit if you want.

Is it possible to get tangled up with adventurers...or is it possible? It's true that just being in the presence of a knoll or something like that makes you stand out so much.
It's a good idea to keep that in mind, since it's what Glynn-san, an elderly man, says.

I'd like to thank you for your advice.

I thank him and Mr. Glynn says goodbye and walks away. Hmm, that's kind of a cool way to leave.

"Well, Nol. Let's go home.

Yes, sir.

It's good to be back, but the sun is already setting. We've been walking back and forth for four days and I'm tired. I can't wait to sleep in a soft bed.
We head to the usual inn and start walking. That inn already feels like home.

Hmm? Vibrations?

What is it, sir?

Just as I walked out to leave, the phone in my pockets vibrated. I shouldn't be doing anything in particular right now, but what the hell was that notification?
Take it out and look at the screen. Then, I saw the words "UR Unit Discharge Rate Double Campaign" prominently displayed at the top of the GC screen.
