52-Group body

After destroying a group of stragglers, we continued on to our destination. Along the way, we encountered several stragglers and so on.
And then, they successfully arrived at the grassland that was said to be inhabited by hikobolts....

'Hey.......what are we going to do with this?

'What are you going to do about it, you ask me...'

Countless high cobolts are already crawling around in front of us.
We watched them from a distance, and the wide open grassland was filled with them to the point where we couldn't see any greenery. They were moving so subtly that the whole thing looked like it was moving in waves, which was uncanny.
The number of animals is far greater than that of a group of stragglers, and I'm sure there are hundreds, if not a hundred, of them. Probably not more than a thousand of them........I don't know.
Is there a nuclear demon in there somewhere?

I don't think it's fair to ask you to fight this with just two parties.

"...it's not every day you get the chance to take on an enemy in such numbers.

Hi. Should we turn back?

Everyone in Dius' party is completely freaked out by this. Gauss-san sounds kind of excited but I'll just chalk it up to my imagination.
I saw this too and honestly thought it was impossible. Even though I've defeated thousands of demons in the past, I don't think I can defeat this many at once.

''Mmm, wouldn't there be more if we turned back here?

'Yeah. Brother, I think you can handle this much.

If there are so many of them, there's not going to be enough for me.

Unlike me and Dius and the others who were becoming weak, the women here don't seem to be worried at all.
Noor puts his hand on his chin and winds up thinking, and seems to be quite serious about it.
Estelle takes out her wand and her red and yellow grimoire and hugs it, shifting and itching to move her body. The gesture is cute, but considering what she's trying to do, it can only be considered a thing of beauty.
Rather than getting anxious at the sight of this number, Sisha smiles and seems happy that she can fight, too.
Is this reaction a good one for a girl? Am I the only one at my party who looks nervous?

'The question is, is this a complete group, or is it incomplete? If it's incomplete, then Mr. Noll is right, there could be more to come.

'I don't want to think of this as incomplete or indeed incomplete...'

Miggle-chan mumbles with a disgusted look on her face at what Dius says.
It would be easy to turn back, but if we left it at this and returned, what would happen next time we came back?
Even if they came back with reinforcement adventurers, there's nothing they can do if the Kobolds have doubled in size.
Would you rather hit them now that the Nolls say they can do it?

'Then what are you going to do? Do we fight these guys on our own?

To be honest, it's beyond my ability to make a decision. If you can, Okura, I'd like you to decide. If we're going to fight, it looks like we'll have to leave the main battle to you guys.

As he sees it, if we're going to fight, it will definitely be mainly us.
With this enemy, me and Nol shouldn't be able to take any fatal damage.
With Dius requiring two or three attacks to take them down, we'd be crushed in numbers even if we played vanguard.
Besides, Estelle's wide-ranging attacks are essential if we are to defeat this number. If the enemy is going to target us, it's definitely going to be us.

''What do we do?''

It's not something I can judge on my own, so I decided to wait and see how the girls reacted.

I'm confident that I can beat them at this level.

'If it comes down to it, we can just run away, and we can reduce some of it here, right?

I'll take care of it.

Noor pulls his sword out of its sheath and is fully motivated. There's an air of real confidence in him.
  Was he this dignified?
Estelle says we can just run away, but I doubt it. If they were to chase us we could use the worst possible beacon to get away from them all.
I don't want to let them know too much, but in that case, let's call it her magic. Let's fool ourselves by saying that it's a big magic so it's rarely used.
I'm not sure if it's because I can fight or if it's because I'm in a rut or if I'm in a rut or if I'm in a loose voice, Sisuha replied. Is this guy really okay?

It's a good thing that you have the courage to do it.

The first thing to do is to have Esther bomb the place. I'll have Estelle bombard us first, and then when the enemy's advance team comes this way, me and Nolle will be in front of them. Dius will protect Estelle and the others until the battle stabilizes. Sisha will be helpful if you take care of the retreat while we recover.

They'll probably ask us to go take them down again if we run away here anyway, so we decide to do it while there's a good chance we can defeat them.
We'll reduce our numbers as much as possible until we make contact, and then Noor and I will destroy them while moving forward. If there are nuclear demons on the way, let's defeat them.
As long as we defeat him, there won't be any more of them, and the group will collapse.
I'll have Sisja clear a path of retreat so that we can escape if we're outnumbered. The beacon is really a last resort.

The best that I've seen in a long time. I'm going to go all out.

The strategy is set, so the battle begins immediately.
The signal to start the battle is Esther's bombing. She raises her staff, which is taller than her height, and takes out a red book and a yellow book. Both books float in front of her eyes, perhaps because of the power of magic.
Several magic circles are drawn in the sky, and countless scorching fireballs, larger than a person, appear in the sky. They look like little suns.
As she swings down her raised staff, the fireballs rain down on the group of Kobolds one after another and explode.

From the point of impact, flames and dirt smoke rise at the same time, and the high kobolds can be seen being thrown into the sky and turning into particles of light.
A few surviving Tyrannos can be seen here and there, trying their best to stand up after being blown away by the explosion, with both hands on the ground.
More fireballs rained down on them, one after another. They were doing their best, but were swallowed by the explosions and disappeared.

Next, the ground began to rise and the rocks began to gather. When the rocks reached the same size as the fireball, some of the rocks exploded and flew towards the Kobold.
After advancing to a certain point, crushing the kobolds in a straight line, it burst with an explosion. Smoke could be seen rising from the distance.
Don't tell me it was a combination of fire magic and earth magic? The idea is egregious........
I guess we should no longer call this a battle, but an overrun.

''........I'm tired of being surprised already.

'Esther, wow, that's too much!

'What is this.......I want to go home now....

Witnessing this scene, Dius was stunned as his eyes widened and his mouth opened.
He had never seen a scene like this before. The same kind of hellscape as the Frogman's.
Dius held his hands over his eyes and reacted in a way that said, what the hell is this? Miggle clasps his hands in front of his chest and gives him a glittering look, which is the wrong reaction.
Gauss-san doesn't have any reaction, and Sumika-chan is trembling and frightened every time the explosion sounds.

The ground has been gouged out at the point of impact and there is no longer any sign of the grassland. It's so bad that it would be understandable if they said there was a war here.
Craters are created here and there, and the kobolds that finally escaped the explosion and survived come running, but a number of them fall into the crater in front of them.
To prevent them from escaping, more fireballs fly into the crater and explode inside, wiping them all out.
The hole gets deeper and deeper, and then more cobolts are stored in it, and the fireballs fly away again.
Esther looks like she's shooting like a mess, but she's calmly observing the situation, which is both dependable and terrifying.
When I looked at her shooting magic, her cheeks were dyed red and she had a somewhat bewitching atmosphere.
Is she that happy to be able to shoot magic........
