105-Daryl VS Armilla

After the four of them took a short break, Tsutomu then began to explain the rules of the Shell Club Hate Making Competition to Daryl and Amira.

''Let me explain the rules. In this competition, whoever collects the most Shell Club Hate in a period of thirty minutes will win. What we are competing for is the time targeted by the Shell Club. Please be careful this time because it's not the time to defeat them.
I know!

I'm not sure if it's really all right for Tsutomu to lean back in his chair, as Amira immediately replied with words. I've read that Amira has a tendency to be strong and tell lies, so Tsutomu was worried that she might complain about something later.

''Oh, please don't try to sabotage each other. Do you have any other questions?''
No.
Do you mind if I have one?

Daryl asked Tsutomu cautiously about Amira, who said wildly. I'm sure you'll be able to find a lot of good reasons for this.

'What is it?'
'Thirty minutes means that if you attract a shell club and fifteen minutes have passed, you win, right?
'Yes. Yes. If either one of us gets more than fifteen minutes of shell club hate to get their attention, then it's over.
Okay.

The day before, Tsutomu told Daryl about the countermeasures against shell clubs, rotten swordsmen, etc., but he didn't explain the specific rules to him. So Daryl nodded to Tsutomu's explanation with a mysterious look on his face while sorting out the rules he had never heard before in his mind.

They shook their heads at Tsutomu's question about whether there were any other questions. Then they formed a PT at the reception desk, which was starting to get a little crowded, and got in line for the magic circle. After a short wait, Tsutomu showed them his watch as the magic circle became empty.

I'm going to be counting for 30 minutes from this time, so good luck to both of you. Then we will transition. Are you ready?
Yeah.
Yes!

Amira and Daryl readied their great swords and their great shields, so Tsutomu spoke of transitioning to the fifty levels. Then the four of them disappeared from the top of the magic circle and were transferred to the 50th level.

I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that I'm not the only one. You will be able to get the most out of it. Amira rushed into the shell club in a straight line and Tsutomu gave them two kinds of support. But it was Daryl who took the lead.

'Combat Cry!'

A red fighting qi, like a giant spear sharpened and sharpened, was generated from Daryl and flew off, penetrating and slipping through the Shell Club's body. With maximum mental strength, Daryl unleashed his Combat Cry and confronted Shellcrab with his large shield. Shellcrab took the sharpened Combat Cry and closed in on Daryl.

Tsutomu smiles reassuringly at Daryl for such a move and moves to the side to take up a position where he can easily provide support. Hannah also follows behind such Tsutomu like a baby bird.

''Somehow, I flew a very flashy one from the beginning, is it okay?
He's doing okay.

Tsutomu responded to Hannah's worried voice with a confident expression. Daryl, despite his large stature, has a puppy-dog baby face and an unreliable personality, but he hasn't overcome Garum's demonic training in Date.

Garum is the foremost expert on the role of tank that Tsutomu proposed, and after the fire dragon battle, he was given a document with skill combos and basic standing instructions. And even after Tsutomu's PT was disbanded due to the defeat of the fire dragon, he continued to study the tank in between his guild staff duties.

And since Garum was one of the few guild employees who had broken through the fire dragon, he often went to work with Amy to research the volcanic hierarchy. Garum used it to further his understanding and application of tank skills.

Daryl, who was being drilled into his skills as Garum's number one apprentice, was forced to learn the basic standing skills as well as the skills of a tank. Garum trained Daryl in a rather spartan manner, but he has overcome the training, coupled with his stupidity.

Currently, the role of tank is beginning to spread in the major clans one after another, led by Garum and followed by Aldoret Crow's Bittman, and there are a few seventy level tank positions underneath him as well. However, many of them still have poor tank skills, and most of them are at the level of Barbara, who is enrolled in the golden investigation. Because of this situation, Daryl is at this point in time the next best person to Garum and Bittman in terms of tank skills.

Daryl catches a blow with his giant forceps [scissors] with his large shield and strikes back with the opposite direction. Amira also hit such a shell club with a heavy blow with her big sword, but the hard armor bounces back the big sword. The Shellcrab is still turning towards Daryl.

Daryl, of course, is standing around with Shellcrab as his main focus, but he can see Amira's movements as well. And as soon as Amira tries to attack Shellcrab, she uses her skills.

''Taunt Swing!''

The Taunt Swing, a skill that allows you to hit a weapon with a red fighting spirit on it and genuinely earn a lot of hate. The moment Amira attacks, Daryl hits the shell club with a large shield of red fighting air and keeps the hate going. Garum had been hating mainly on Combat Cry and Warrior Howl until the fire dragon battle, but the Taunt Swing is the most efficient hate swing against a single monster.

However, since the Taunt Swing requires you to get close to the monster, it's a bit risky against a monster with a strong attack. So sometimes it's better to earn a solid amount of money with Shield Throw, like Garum in the Fire Dragon War.

And so the time passed with Daryl in the lead for a while. There were twenty-three minutes left. It's very tough to take on the onslaught of a shell club with inexhaustible stamina alone, but Tsutomu's support has reduced my fatigue. Daryl, who has been stressed by Garum about Tsutomu's greatness to the point that he has calluses on his ears, was certainly reassured by the actual support he received.

Protech raises VIT (sturdiness) and reduces pain, while Haste raises AGI (agility) and lightens body movements. When your arms are numb from being repeatedly slammed into a large shield with forceps, Heal flies in to heal them, and when you are exhausted from moving as hard as you can on a hard-to-trod beach, a medic for state recovery flies in to heal your fatigue.

In training with Garum, there is no supportive recovery, of course, and if you can't move, it was really hellish training to die. I can't count the number of times I've been forced to fight against a shell club for nearly thirty minutes without a break, or died after being dropped from the sky by a kidnapping bird to learn to fly. But Daryl trusted Garum like a parent, so he overcame even such training to stand here.

Compared to that training, this environment is like heaven. Daryl naturally smiles and strikes the shell club with his large shield while smiling. And Shellcrab's attack is accurately received and misses the impact.

''Power slashuu!

But Amira is not to be outdone. After all, from the opening of the game until now, the shell club has been facing Daryl. So, since they can attack the shell club all they want, they are concentrating on one spot and swinging their great swords at it.

And after the armor was gradually removed, the shell club began to pay more attention to Amira. It's a good thing that you have a good idea of what you're looking for, because it will allow you to attack the crust that isn't wrapped in armor, which will increase the efficiency of your damage.

But Daryl had already predicted this hate trend. Even before this match, the shell club's armor would be stripped off before the match could take place. Daryl had been thinking about this ever since he had heard the rules explained to him.

Due to the nature of the shell club, the longer the battle is, the more damage the armor can be ripped off, the more the attacker has an advantage. With that in mind, Daryl had drawn up a blueprint in his mind for winning this game, thinking that the best thing to do was to win it in the first fifteen minutes.

He put a lot of mental energy into the first combat cry he unleashed, buying him time in the early stages. He figured that since he still had armor in the early stages, even Amira wouldn't be able to make that much damage, so after that, he would only use his skills minimally and use the blows of his large shield to get by.

And now that the armor is peeling off and the shell is starting to attack the shell, the shell club is starting to increase its hate on Amira. It's time to release all the mental power I've been storing up with minimal skill use at once.

''Warrior Howl!''

A skill called Warrior Howl, which struck its own heavy armor and large shield and released a concerted sound that stimulated the fighting instincts. As he unleashed it, the shell club turned towards Daryl. Furthermore, Daryl chased after it.

''Taunt Swing!''

A large shield with the Warrior Howl's vibration still intact. Furthermore, the large shield with the red fighting qi imparted to it struck the shell club's armor. The vibration of Warrior Howl, plus the red fighting qi of the Taunt Swing, is also on board, allowing him to earn immense hate.

Using the ironclad skill combo of Taunt Swing from Warrior Howl, Daryl forcibly took back the hate from Amira.

Amira's attacks aren't loose either. She's getting more and more powerful as she gets used to the feeling of the Haste. But it's no match for Daryl's immense hate-generating skill combos.

But Daryl can't do this combo endlessly either. If you don't have the mental power to hit skills, you can't hit skills, and tank jobs tend to have low mental power. So you can't just hit all the skills you want. Mental capacity management is also an important part of a tank's job.

But Daryl thought about his strategy for this game beforehand and implemented it. After gaining a large amount of hate early on, he would use his mental power to recover half of his time, and then use his recovered mental power to take back the rest of the time that his armor destruction would make it harder for him to hate Amira.

Daryl's strategy worked perfectly, and sixteen minutes passed without Amira being able to get her hate back.

''Yes! That's enough! Check on Daryl's fifteen minutes elapsed! Daryl wins!
d*mn it!

Amira, in the form of Daryl's perfected form, screamed from the pit of her stomach and slammed her great sword into the shell club. She's also aware that Daryl has taken almost all of Shell Club's hate away from her. It was a straightforward victory for Daryl, who had no reason to complain.

After that, she patrolled and found and defeated the shell club that dived and disappeared, and got through the fifty levels. Incidentally, Amira hadn't been able to break through the Shell Club yet, so this was the first time she had broken through.

After returning to the guild and bending down a bit to high-five Hanna, Amira is giving Daryl a look that is even filled with murderous intent. Before Daryl could notice her gaze, Tsutomu called out to Amira.

It's the next and last time. I'm going to get the same content match as Hannah as Diniel, are you okay with that?
..........

The expression on Amira's face as she turned back to Tsutomu with a sound of clacking teeth was reminiscent of a fire dragon trapped on the verge of death. It's a very good idea to be able to have a good time with your friends.

''Since it's already past noon, let's get started after we take a break for lunch. Since Diniel is the first one to attack this time, please do your best to beat her time.
Tsk.

Amira cut off her gaze as she swept her gaze with a killing spirit that made the surrounding searchers involuntarily pull back, and sat down in a chair in the guild cafeteria in a slump.

Hannah and Daryl both defeated Amira, and the only thing left was a rotten swordsman time attack match with Diniel. Tsutomu knocked on the door of the appraisal room, which was marked with a sign saying it was on break, and called out Diniel, who was chatting with Amy, who was appraising the materials he had obtained from the volcano.

''Hey, hey~! How can I not have anything to do with it~?
Oh, no, no, no. I was just about to say hi. Hi, Amy. I'm glad to see you're working so hard.
"...who do you think you're working hard for~

Amy, who feels that she was treated like an afterthought, pouted and then turned her resentful gaze to Tsutomu. Tsutomu bowed his head and said he was sorry.

''Well, don't take it too hard. Even if you finish your work so early, our clan has only just been built. And we don't know if the volcanic hierarchy will still be able to make it.
Dini's here. You can't afford it!
Yeah, yeah. So get Amy into the clan.
Yeah, yeah, yeah! Hurry up and get in the clan!
'I don't know if Camille would scold me...'

Tsutomu laughed in disgust at the two men who were raising one fist in protest in a friendly manner, but managed to get Diniel out of the appraisal room.

''Don't do it! I don't want to work!''
Oh, Amy. I'm going to have lunch now, do you want to join me?
Oh, really! Let's go! Hold on a minute!

When Tsutomu said that, Amy pulled back behind the counter. In the meantime, Tsutomu reported to Diniel that they had won.

'Last but not least is Diniel. We'll have you compete for the time to defeat the rotten swordsman. Well, it's okay.''
Hey.
(...or is it a Hannah imitation?)

Tsutomu honestly didn't know much about Diniel's character, especially these days. His initial impression was that he was wasteful, thrifty and sometimes wordy, but his tone was otherwise normal and clerical.

However, since Amy's recommendation to join the Clan, Diniel's tone has gradually fallen away. So while Tsutomu wondered if it was right to butt in normally here, given the current distance between him and Diniel, he waited for Amy to come out in silence. Then he took Amy, who had gotten her hair done a little better, and ate lunch with the rest of the Clan.
