167-Prediction of death

Daryl gave a loud command as the mounted golem took a ranged attack motion, causing everyone to gather around. Diniel threw over the scorching rock robe that Xeno had picked up from the fallen lava and immediately began to run away, Melcho paired up with Xeno and Daryl paired up with Corina to curl up in the air wearing the scorching rock robe.

Then red light leaked out of the mounted golem's eyes and spread out, rapidly expanding as it melted the ground. The pair that had been curled up in a ranged attack that burned everything was lightly blown away, and Diniel watched the scene from a distance.

''Stream Arrow.''

At the same time as that range attack ended, Diniel released a stream arrow despite the distance. It reached the top of the Mounted Golem's head, which was unable to move due to the recoil of the attack, without missing a beat, and rained down an ice arrow.

Diniel then shot the ice arrows into the ground to gain a foothold beside the reddened mount golem. After being blown up a bit, the two pairs emerged from the scorching rock robes and went up into the sky to get away from the ground that was emitting hot air. Then they left the bright red ground and headed towards Diniel.

''Blessings of the Adventure God.''

Corina reapplies a skill that can reduce the terrain effect of the dungeon for two hours, while Daryl re-equips his spare red armor. Then he calls out to everyone while replenishing the ice magic stone for cooling.

''There will be no golems from now on, so you can join the attack, Melcho-san can join the attack. Diniel-san, can you give priority to securing the foothold?
Okay.
Don't get your hopes up.

Melcho's flying skills are a bit of a no-brainer, so it would be difficult for him to make an effective attack against the fast-moving mounted golem. The scaffolding would soon be gone if Diniel didn't regularly cool it down and secure it with ice arrows, so he wouldn't be able to exert much strength.

''I would appreciate it if Corina-san could provide the same kind of support as before.
Okay.

Daryl smiled back at Corina's frightened nod. Daryl was relying on Corina's ability to bring Xeno back to life in two minutes just now. According to what Korina had told him beforehand, the revival prayer would take ten minutes to realize its effects, and even if he used the words of the prayer, the effect time of the revival prayer could only be reduced by half. Therefore, using the skill after dying would take five minutes at the earliest.

But Korina managed to revive in two minutes without even using a prayer word. Daryl had heard through his dog ears that Korina had used the resuscitation prayer beforehand, so he was hopeful that she might be able to rebuild him in case she died.

'Xeno-san, please take my place and pull the Mounted Golem on behalf of me. Let's take it easy on each other.
Huh. I know what I'm talking about.

Zeno, who was wiping sweat off his face, looked surprisingly comfortable despite having died once. Daryl felt sick to his stomach just thinking about what would happen if he died, but there was not a trace of that kind of atmosphere in Xeno. Daryl looked a little frustrated, perhaps because he had compared such a state of Xeno to his former self.

And by the time everyone was able to catch their breath, the reddish-colored mounted golem released from its recoil and started to act, waving its arms with all its might and running underneath the five of them. Daryl unleashed a sharpened indigo combat cry and the battle resumed.

Corina gave a generous support recovery to the two tanks, and Diniel shot an ice arrow at the ground near the mount golem to get a foothold. He then descended to the ground and pointed his bow at them and got into a sniper's stance. Melcho was lowered to the ground by Xeno and then crushed a colorless magic stone in his hand.

''Defensive.''

Daryl floats in the air to intercept the mounted golem while making sure his standing position is not covered. Maintaining a distance of not too close and not too far, he floats just in a position where it's easy to strike and provoke an attack.

The mounted golem hits you from the side, gutting you as Daryl had planned. But the attack is clearly faster than before the blackness, and the speed is already unavoidable for Daryl.

''Guh.''

Daryl, who neatly blocked the attack with his large shield, let out an involuntary yelp at the impact, which was stronger than before, and regained his stance as he scraped the rocks on the black ground. The bruising is quickly recovered by Corina's recovery, but the blow is heavy as I had expected.

Moreover, since the mounted golem is already able to run, the rest time after being blown away is also narrowed. Daryl rolls his head back against the heat ray that was released in the chase, and Daryl prevents it. The red armor reacts to the sudden rise in temperature and the cooling function kicks in.

By the time it leaves the red ground, the mounted golem catches up to Daryl, this time kicking him like a stone on his toes. Daryl quickly repositions himself so that he doesn't move too far away from his allies, only adjusting his position so that he doesn't get blown away.

'Combat oh! Cry!

And then, after several more attacks, Zeno uses Combat Cry to switch tanks with Daryl. Unlike Daryl, Zeno dares to dive into his pocket and stand around to dodge the attack, drawing the mounted golem in.

Meanwhile, Daryl holds his aching body to catch his breath and wait for Korina to recover her support. Then his wish for healing comes true and a green chi envelops Daryl, restoring him.

Xeno is less likely to be hit than Daryl, as he carries the risk of instant death if he is hit by an attack. Besides, he also has a robe of burning rock that can completely block fast heat attacks, so he can advance in the battle to his advantage.

However, unlike the fire dragons that had been accumulating practice, this was the first time they were being attacked by a mounted golem. Just avoiding the quicker mounted golem's grabbing and stomping with the complex aerial maneuvers he possessed was comparable, but just eating a normal attack once made Xeno look very painful.

'Combat Cry.'

So Daryl was changing tanks as soon as Xeno was attacked once, releasing his Combat Cry. And as soon as the hate shifted to Daryl, Kaburaya passed through the sky. Daryl waited for Diniel to utter the skill, pulling the mounted golem to him as he heard the sound. But he still didn't hear her words, and Daryl tilted his head inwardly.

Daryl, who had been able to trigger the mounted golem's stomping and slamming to make it stop moving earlier, also became more difficult in the endgame when it was moving faster. And finally, after being beaten away, his voice reaches his ears.

''Stream Arrow.''

Aiming for the moment Daryl is punched away, Diniel uses his skill and sends an arrow down over the mounted golem's head. In the process, the mounted golem runs towards Daryl, so it doesn't hit all the bullets, but this is still enough to earn damage. Daryl was also grateful for Diniel's tact, as he thought it would be tough to induce the current mounted golem to trample and so on, so he was grateful for Diniel's tact.

Daryl would draw out a steady attack to ensure his survival, while Xeno would buy time by dodging the instant death attacks to death. Two such tanks prevented the Mounted Golem from heading towards the other three, and the battle situation was turning well due to Korina's supportive recovery.

''Ah.''

However, even the Holy Knight, who had a higher AGI among tank positions, was not far behind a genuine dodging tank like Hanna. Therefore, there was no way he could avoid all of the instant death attacks, and Xeno was trampled by the mounted golem that moved faster.

Daryl was momentarily upset when Xeno was trampled in front of him and disappeared as a particle, but he quickly switched and took the hate. And as he was pulling the mounted golem back, he heard a voice from above.

'Two minutes to revive! Can you bear it?!
I'm fine!
Yes, sir! In the meantime, please get the hate out!

However, that death was already foreseen by Corina's death-sensing eyes, and the prayer of resuscitation was used beforehand. She also ensured that she had the mental capacity to use the prayer to shorten the time it would take to resuscitate Daryl if he was in a difficult situation.

After that, Xeno started dying more often, but Korina foresaw this and used the resuscitation prayers and also used the words of the prayer to adjust the tank's cycle so that it wouldn't break down. Hate built up on Korina as she began to use the Prayer of Resuscitation regularly, but Daryl's skillful use of hate taking and the mounted golem was not directed at her.

Corina also minimizes her support recovery and prayers to avoid taking too much hate. Korina also did the seemingly outrageous thing of not providing support recovery, especially to Xeno, who often dies. However, if Korina was targeted and died, there would be no more means of resuscitation itself, so that decision was correct.

'Xeno, resurrection!
"Don't let the lava get in the way of retrieving it.
Let's do the right thing!

Xeno, who has died many times, didn't even show any depression and received the Burning Rock Robe from Diniel and gulped down the blue potion. Then, wearing only the brown clothes and the Burning Rock Robe, he headed towards the Mounted Golem without any armor or hand shields.

''Combat-o! Cry! Come on!

He was trampled and smashed many times. Daryl has never died, but being resuscitated multiple times would be miserable for the same tank. The crowd may have been disappointed in him, and Diniel's words stung.

But Xeno's heart is not broken. A mental strength of a different kind from that of Garum and Daryl. That is his sure weapon. Even so, the combat cry, which has not lost its silver luster, attracted the mounted golem.

''Ha, ha........''

And Daryl was having a hard time regaining the sensations that led to the limits he had just reached. He had been pushed far too hard physically, but that feeling wouldn't come back.

'A wish for healing. A holy wish.

The reason for this was that Daryl had discovered how good Corina was.

Daryl strongly believed that he should never die during the middle game. It was because he was aware that if he died, it would be the end of the world, as Corina's true ability was still unknown. It was only because he was physically and mentally trapped that he was able to step into a liminal situation.

But now he'd seen Corina revive Xeno steadily on more than one occasion. And from the tank's point of view, Corina's supportive recovery is gratifying enough, and even if Xeno dies, Corina is in no hurry to do her job.

If I die, I can rebuild with Korina. Because that trust was born in Daryl's unconscious, he hasn't reached his mental limit. That's why I haven't been able to get to the end of it.

Stream Arrow.

Diniel shoots arrows in anticipation of Daryl being punched away, grinding away at the mounted golem. Daryl feels the pain as his body feels like it's going to explode. But he can't get to the edge of his limit. His heart was irritated by this, but his head was calm.

Even if he didn't reach the limit here, there was still a chance that he could defeat the Mounted Golem. But if Xeno took the hate and died early, it would be hard for Daryl to take on the tank for longer, and there had been many such situations earlier.

But Xeno wasn't just dying, either. With each death, he's gaining experience, and in the end, he's beginning to specialize in buying time by fighting with only his burning rock robe equipped.

''Xeno, resurrection!''
Ew. The potion is terrible.

I'm still dead as ever, and I'm still spending a lot of blue potions because I use Combat Cry quite a bit to get the hate. But even with that, the amount of time he can earn is gradually increasing. While not as overwhelmingly fast as Hannah, Xeno is good at complex aerial maneuvers. For that reason, it was becoming harder and harder for attacks to hit once they were in the bosom of the mounted golem.

On top of that, Korina's unexpected activity. Daryl had thought that prayer warriors would take a long time to revive, but Korina had basically revived Xeno in two or three minutes. If she could revive him in that much time, Daryl could stand it well enough, and the consumption of blue potions from reviving him didn't seem that much.

An eye for foreseeing death that I've gained from my previous life experiences and actual battles in the mediation PT. And since Corina was used to situations where the PT would be devastated, she was in no hurry to continue to provide supportive recovery to Daryl, even if Xeno died. Corina's strengths, which Tsutomu had discovered when he looked at Kamidai, were on full display.

Diniel's attention to detail, despite his sloppy personality, made him good at securing a foothold and matching the timing of his attacks. And the attack delay he did last time by shooting at the joints of the mounted golem also helped Daryl and Xeno survive.

Melcho can't fight in the air, so facing the ground that's burning bright red, he can do very little at the moment. But just being there will help stabilize your mind, because there is an atmosphere that you will do something in a time of need.

So if I don't make a mistake like this, I can win. Daryl, who understood the current situation, didn't care too much about the borderline of the limit, and was blown away by the stable fist thrusts and kicks that he induced.

Then the mounted golem begins to make a second range attack motion. It's an action that he didn't do when they fought before, but Daryl knows that action because he's prepped for it. And he also knew that the action was quite nasty.

'Range attack! Mr. Melcho, please hide behind Mr. Corina's robe!

With Diniel already disengaged, Daryl gives his instructions beside him and wraps himself in the robe of burning rock with Xeno, who was nearby.

The recoil is non-existent for the second range attack, and the mounted golem moves in immediately. Daryl remembers that this action was very troublesome at the end of the game, and Tsutomu, who had cleared it the first time, said that he was lucky.

But the hate is not a problem as Daryl is currently taking it. As Daryl was thinking about getting in on the action as soon as the ranged attack was over, Xeno, who was glowing silvery in the darkness by the Ember aura, blurted out as he grabbed the edge of his robe.

'It's dazzling,'
''Well yes. You just need to keep the light down a bit more.
'I'm still trying to keep this down. But it just naturally overflows, you know. It's a problem.
You need to practice.

As Daryl is seriously ramming into Zeno, who is glowing and mischievous, the impact of the range attack hits the two of them. As it is, they float in the air and are sent flying by the wind pressure, and then suddenly a roaring sound is heard.

The momentum of being blown away was gone, so Daryl hurriedly turned his head to see a mounted golem standing there with its arms crossed, and a large amount of black rock buried in its body.

''Oh no--''

Rocks bounced off the mounted golem's torso like scattered bullets as it released its arms. Daryl caught the flying rock with his large shield, but it bounced off and Xeno was trapped under the rock.

There was no time to look around as the mounted golem closed in on Daryl, who was blown away, to immediately chase after him. Soon, Daryl was beaten away.

''Prayer of Resuscitation. ''Prayer for resurrection.''

But Daryl's drooping dog-ears were firmly in place for Corina's disturbing use of skills.
