363-Future ahead

...I don't know what to do.

As soon as he woke up about yesterday, Tsutomu let out a small sigh of melancholy and closed his eyes and wrapped himself in the soft sheets as if to escape from reality.

Although he was aware of the Black Gate that leads to the 100th level at the 99th level, since fighting against the blazing old dragon has become a reality, he can't wait to get up in the morning. The ninety-seventh level I'm attacking now will be a 'live dungeon!' when it comes time to dive in. It's fun to see the differences between the two, etc., but I can see it getting heavier and heavier as the attack progresses.

(It's been over a year since that time, and I'm pretty sure I've largely forgotten about it.)

In fact, the memory of being killed by the blazing old dragon is already fuzzy and the fear is fading. If anything, the time when he had been pierced in the belly during the Battle of the End of the World was a more unpleasant memory.

(And a hundred levels of PT members could be unexpected at this point, too. ...Well, for some reason, the members are doing better than expected. (Yesterday may have been the most heartfelt surprise I've had in a long time.

Tsutomu had anticipated the PT members with the idea that he would be in Korina's position. And he thought that she would make roughly the same choice, as he had taught her how to stand as a praying woman and had grown as a healer. At least her ace attacker, Amira or Diniel, would be fighting for her, and Garum would be taken.

But Korina hadn't expected it, and that too was an unintelligible choice. She had guessed that perhaps deep compassion was suited for Amira, but she hadn't expected it to extend to Diniel. Besides, Tank was outrageous in offering to trade Xeno and Daryl. It was no longer the exact opposite and my eyes were glazed over.

I wondered if perhaps they had deliberately made Corina's side of the table to be the weakest PT in anticipation of being turned into a human pillar by guesswork. But there was no indication that Leleia was manipulating him behind his back, and if she wasn't, it was unlikely that the otherwise feeble Korina would be able to do such a thing with impunity.

Perhaps it was more likely that she was right, that she had chosen the PT because of her reticence and sympathy for the clan members, but she also knew that there was more to it than that. There was a section where Corina was the only one who had noticed that she had given the prayer warrior a PT that suited her, and she had seen the occasional comment that she was concerned when the topic of the explorer's death came up. He didn't seem to realize that he just didn't really want to die, though his gaze was as if he was looking at cracked glasswork.

Such a strange misunderstanding with Korina was exquisitely confusing to Tsutomu, as he was facing the hundredth level of his only experience of death. Is she really aware of her intentions or is she just a natural...?

As she was wrapped up in the sheets, wrapped up in her sterile thoughts, there was a reserved knock on the door of her room. Noticing this, Tsutomu looked at the clock in his room and saw that it was already the time when his morning run in and muscle training was over, and he couldn't help but hold his head up.

'Tsutomu, are you alright?'
'Oh no problem. I just slept in today.
Yeah. Well, I don't see why not.
Sorry, I'll be right down.

As he told her, Garum seemed to walk from the front of the room and head downstairs. After confirming the sound of footsteps moving away from him, Tsutomu sighed loudly, and after stretching out gingerly as if to switch, he stood up and washed his face at the washstand.

Then, thinking he would read the dungeon newspaper or something, he exited the room, and someone else exited the room at about the same time as Tsutomu. I turned my eyes in the direction of the sound of the door opening.

''Ah.....
Oh.

Corina, with her long cream-colored hair down, looked at Tsutomu with eyes like a rabbit found by a predator. Tsutomu, on the other hand, looks warily at any small animal that might bite his fangs, and time passes with both of them remaining rigid. However, he couldn't just stand still, so he froze and greeted her.

''Good morning.''
Oh, good morning.
..........

Corrina looked as nervous as if she'd been sleeping in the Clan House for the first time, and Tsutomu wandered his gaze a bit, wondering how he was going to talk to her. Then she

Oh, I'm thinking about it. So long!
Yeah, I know.

After saying that, Corina ran to the stairs to the first floor as if to escape. I called out to her because I thought she was walking dangerously, but it was even worse, as if she was sliding down the stairs. The last thing you want to do is fall on your buttocks in a big way, and Garum, who happens to be nearby, has a look on his face as if to say, "What's going on?

'What's wrong?'
'No, uh, I think you heard yesterday that we were discussing a few things about the Hundred Levels. So it sounds like you're upset.
I see.

I thought it was about time to talk to the clan members, so I thought it was just the right time to tell Garum what was going on, and he crossed his arms with a divine look on his face. Then, perhaps because it had been so noisy since the holiday morning, Hannah, Leleia, and others also came over to check on him. Hanna's eyes sparkled as she lightly explained to the girls as well.

'Finally, we're talking about a hundred levels! I've gotten tired of waiting, but now it's time!
'I won't go after what you've blown into Corina, but if it goes on too long, I'll demand an explanation.
I'm sure I'll tell you more about it soon.

Tsutomu chewed out his absent muscles as he replied to Leleia's jittery eyes and took his seat at the breakfast table. Amy and Daryl, who had been listening to the conversation with their beast ears, looked giddy at the topic of a hundred levels as they sat at the table, while Diniel was drinking water with a nonchalant look on his face.

Then a sleepy looking Amira and a slightly calmer looking Corina also gathered and began to chat casually over breakfast. Daryl, Garum, and Hannah talk about the souvenirs for the orphanage where they're going to show up today, while Leleia lets out a creepy chuckle as she gets involved with Amira.

Diniel and Amy exchanged opinions about the monsters of the ninety-seventh level, with Tsutomu and Corina occasionally ministering to them in the mix. The topic of conversation turned to the hundredth level.

''Hey, have you decided on a PT yet?''
'I'm going to let Corina make some decisions this time. She's become much more consistent as a healer.
'Wow! Corina-chan is awesome!
'But I don't think I can make the decision on my own, so I'm going to visit Pico-san today and get his opinion, but...'
It's okay. I said a lot of things yesterday, but I'll follow the conclusions you've come to after you've listened to and thought it over. And I'm sorry for saying things that I blamed you for yesterday.
'No no no it's my fault...'

When she apologized, Corina pulled her lips into a horrified look. Amy pecked her cheeks and tried to be skin-to-skin with her, but her expression of not feeling alive could not be cured.

'But is there anything beyond a hundred levels? If there's a destination, though, there's probably two hundred levels next.
''I don't know. That's exactly what you have to break through to find out, but it seems that even labyrinth maniacs don't seem to be in the mood for it. If it's a hundred levels down, then all sorts of problems will arise.
The old lady won't mind. The existence of the guild might be in jeopardy.
''Hmm, it will certainly be an important matter for the guild to see if it continues on. It won't be a problem for a while... but in a year's time all sorts of problems will arise.

After hearing Amira and Leleia's story, Garum interjected a light opinion, as if he was curious even as a former guild employee.

''If it ends up being a hundred levels, then the upper divine tables are going to freeze up. Everyone would get bored with the same tier all the time, and there would be fewer sponsors~''
'Labyrinth mania will be tough if there's no new information available, too. And what will happen to the major clans as well? I think there will be a demand for magic stones for a while, but at some point, the supply will exceed the supply.... What if Amy-san ends up on the hundredth level?
'Hmm. I don't know, but it would be fun to go to the dungeon outside.

Finally resurrected, Corina also speaks with uncertainty about the future, but Amy seems optimistic. Diniel listens with sleepy half-eyes, half-listening to the story.

(If it's the same as the live dungeons, there's probably a back-up dungeon, but I'm not sure if it's that much the same.)

While the clan members were discussing about the unknown future, Tsutomu was the only one who was eating his breakfast while thinking about it and ministering appropriately.
