408-Later talk ③

(Totally, Tutom gave me one hell of a leftover...)

Camille, who was later informed of the startling revelation in a letter given directly to her by Garum the other day, sighed as she looked around the guild where the commotion had not subsided even in the afternoon after Tsutomu's retirement was reported in the morning paper.

It's not so much that someone who has fallen further down the ladder than before is retiring, but the sudden retirement of a searcher who is still the highest ranked explorer in the hierarchy to be reached is unthinkable from a common sense perspective. In the beginning, it was misinterpreted that she was eloping with Amy, who was absent at the same time, but her appearance has already been confirmed in the labyrinth city. And the person in question couldn't find her no matter where she looked.

I wonder where in the world Tsutomu's hometown is. Even the Sollitts and the Babenbergs haven't gotten a grip on it, apparently.
''Then you're not from the royal capital either. Maybe he's from the imperial capital?
Well, it's not like they can get across the border. If you were, you'd be in the hands of security by now. They must be in the middle of nowhere, right? You see, Hannah was from a remote village, as I recall.

For the past three days, Tsutomu's footsteps hadn't been grasped unnaturally, and a select group of troops from the security team had been dispatched to the border area of the imperial capital, a virtual enemy of the royal capital, just in case, but so far, his appearance hadn't been confirmed.

Amidst all sorts of speculation, Tsutomu's retirement and the uproar that even the clan members of the Infinite Circle had left, had shocked the searchers as well. This event caused those who are not satisfied with the current situation and those searchers who have not achieved any results in spite of their efforts to do so to think about their own position, and more than a few of them started to announce their transfer or retirement from the clan.

Due to such a trend of change, the current guild had to allocate a large number of personnel to organize clan transfers and recruitment, and they had to work very fast and furiously. The clan's recruitment board is swarming with people, and explorers, buoyed by the enthusiasm, are talking passionately about what's to come, and negotiating contracts and contracts that use this as an opportunity to make big decisions.

(After the heat dies down, it's a pain in the ass to deal with. I wonder how many swimsuits I'll have to wear.)

It's true that some of them would be better off transferring or retiring, but the opposite could also be true. It was obvious that there would be trouble in that direction, so Camille had instructed her staff not to give useless advice, but to make sure that there were no flaws in the paperwork contracts.

(But, well, Tutom really did it, didn't he? Maybe it's selfish to say that if you'd just told me honestly..........but there were still moves that could have been made)

Camille had guessed that Tsutomu was hiding something. But it was hard to believe that it was even someone from another world, until Garum showed her a document that resembled a status card, and it was no wonder he couldn't talk to anyone around him about it. And the letter sent to me apologized for the various procedures, so I could understand, albeit with some sadness.

But considering the position of his daughter, who is drunk and abuses Tsutomu as a traitor, and wets her pillow at night, was Tsutomu's actions right? Camille can't help but twist her head when she is told that.

If I were in my daughter's shoes, I would have wanted Tsutomu to consult with me at least once. I'm sure you'll be able to find out more about this as well. But as a result, Tsutomu only consulted with Garum and Amy and left without saying anything directly, even though he had left a letter that he had written in advance.

(Perhaps from Tsutomu's point of view, he didn't divide his trust that clearly. But to other Clan members, it would be more natural for them to see it that way.)

That's why Amira and Daryl thought about their relationship with Tsutomu. In the first place, they didn't trust themselves in the beginning. If they tried to think badly about it, they could come up with any number of things, such as that Tsutomu was just using them to get him to leave.

(But I don't think that Tsutomu, who was so secretive, would have told them honestly from the beginning. But it would be too much to ask those kids to understand and accept that.

With that personality of Tsutomu's, I don't think he would have revealed the secret to the two of them from the beginning. If he had the guts to do so, he would have told himself and the other clan members exactly what was going on.

Tsutomu was probably going to go home quietly alone, without revealing his secret to anyone until the end. However, Camille guessed that for some reason the secret had been leaked to the two of them and he was forced to tell them the details of the situation. In the context of the letter left for Garum that was shown to me yesterday, I believe that guess is largely correct.

(We have to find a way for Tsutomu to come back soon...)

Just the fact that Tsutomu made it clear that he wanted to come back to this world again made Camille happy. I'm not sure if it's a good idea for me to be able to do this, but I'm sure I'll be able to do it.

That's why we must find the means for Tsutomu to come back as soon as possible. At the same time, if we don't do something about the devastation caused by Tsutomu now, it's highly likely that by the time he comes back, it will have already collapsed beyond repair. He would have to follow up with not only his daughter, but the other clan members as well.

Camille, with her fantasy of letting Tsutomu go on an expensive shopping spree after he returned, quickly finished her duties as guild leader and went home to her daughter's waiting house, who was likely to be crushed by a hangover.
