128 . Liberty Summer Festival 5

The morning of the festival finally arrived.

As expected, they were nervous, and I woke up much earlier than usual.
Since I only took a nap on the couch in the lord's office because I was up late looking over documents in the lord's office yesterday, I feel like I still want to sleep, but my eyes are brighter than usual.
When I raised my upper body from the couch, I found a blanket draped over me.
Although it's summer, it can be chilly in the mornings here in Liberty, at the foot of the mountains.

Unja, or maybe Erdena, I don't know.

I folded it up, thanking him.
 Then
Good morning, little man.
It was as if I was waiting for him to get up and take a break, when Unja walked into the room.

To be honest, I was a little surprised at how well timed it was.
Unja doesn't give a d*mn and puts the tea and breakfast on a tray on the table beside the couch where I've been sleeping.

There's a large bowl of soup, bread, a salad of raw vegetables and a little bit of stir-fry.
This is always accompanied by a cup of tea.

I don't eat much in the morning, so Una prepares a well-balanced menu of small portions for me.
I'm really grateful for the help I've received from Una, and I'm always grateful to her.
There's no need to thank me, I'm just doing what I'm supposed to do as a member of the family.
And lately, I've been calling out the word "side room" a lot, probably because Foldente taught me the word "side room"... and I always say that I have a fiancé, Erdena, and that's good enough for me...
I'm always waiting for you.
And then I smiled and left............................hah, oh dear.

If I didn't care about Unna, I wouldn't have to worry about her so much, but.....

After drinking a cup of tea to clear my head a bit, I turned my attention to the city through the window.

It was still early in the evening, and there were already many people on the streets.
They all seemed to be in the festival business.

I'm getting ready to set up shop.
Setting up the venue in a hurry.
Everyone seems to be busy, walking around with related documents in hand.

Stallholders from neighboring cities can be seen pulling wagons toward the central square.
It looks like the crowds on the streets will continue uninterrupted until the festival begins.

My first official event of the day is the opening ceremony at 9am.

 By then.
Geltar, lord of the frontier city of Batcombe.
The Lord of the frontier small city of Picks, Krome.
The three of us meeting with both lords.

The union leader who has come to the small frontier city of Eads as the acting lord of the Lords
The union leader who has come as the acting lord of the frontier city of Greencomb.
The meeting with the two men.

I also plan to receive greetings from representatives of the participating villages from time to time.

One thing that I am a little concerned about is that we haven't had a visit from Urinacombe since.
It is said that when a city participates in an official event of such a city, it is customary for the lord or the acting lord to go and greet the lord of the city, and although I think Urinakombe should know that much....

Anyway, since there may not be any urgent offers, I'm going to tell everyone where I'm going, especially today, so that I can respond to that as well.

........I know I should always do this, but I have a tendency to think about this and that while making a move.

I decided to head to the street to take a look at the city before my visitors arrived.
'Unja, are you there?'
I voiced that, and almost immediately.
You wanted to see me, little man?
And then Unja walked noiselessly into the room.

I told her that I was going to inspect the street, and she said
I'll see what the guards can do. Please go to the entrance of the town hall and wait for me.
With that, she left the room as noiselessly as she had come in, fluttering the hem of her skirt.

I quickly finished dressing and moved to the entrance of the building as Unja had told me to.
The two female knights under Biblina and Unja were already waiting there.

Regarding the duration of this festival.
I've been having my knights dispatched by Batcombe and Picks as security reinforcements, but thanks to the offers from both Batcombe and Picks that there would be some problems if command authority were scattered, Liberty has been entrusted with command authority over all the knights coming to Liberty for this period.

The reason that Unja just now brought two female knights under Biblina's command is probably because they were dispatched to protect me at this point in time.

The two of them will take care of you.
We have many visitors scheduled for today, so please return early.
I bowed my head to Una, and I replied that I understood.
Then it's nice to meet you.
They exchanged greetings with the two female knights, and the three of them went around the city street.

Despite the normally deserted hours of the street, many shops had already opened their shutters and people continued to come and go busily.

On a stage in the middle of the street, there is still quite a bit of room, though the opening event and other events will be held by those who wish to attend, so they are talking about allowing people to jump in.

Past that point, we found ourselves in the central square.

Although there were many people on the streets so far, the crowds on this central road were far greater than that.

As each of the neighboring urban settlements were planning to set up their own stalls, the central square was already crowded with people from each city preparing for the event.
Because there is a limit to the number of wagons that can enter the central square at one time, there was a line of people waiting to get in, but some of them couldn't wait for their turn to come, and they were crowded with people carrying their goods while they were waiting.

While looking around the central square, there was one place that was heavily guarded.

I didn't have to be me to know that this was Urinakombe's stall.

 Nevertheless.
I asked Nirmana, who is on guard duty at the current time, to secretly ask her how she was doing.
So far, no sign of trouble.
 And that was that.

Urinacombe was obsessed with the ancient monster race, and as long as that ancient monster race is still remaining in Liberty, I think it's a good idea to be careful.

I said a few words of consolation to Nirmana and then left.

Afterwards, I wanted to inspect the road to the settlement at the foot of Mount Gorun.
At this point, after receiving a request from Unya, Tsubaito-san flew over to look for me.
A representative from a neighboring village has arrived to say hello. Please return immediately.
He conveyed the message to me, so I trundled back to the town hall.

When I returned, I was greeted by Unja.
The representative of the eastern hamlet is here.
Unya told me as she trudged down the hallway with me.

When I walked with Unya to the reception room, an elderly sub-human with antlers was waiting for me.
'Thank you for allowing a small settlement like ours to participate today,'
I shook hands firmly with the subaltern who said so.
Afterwards, while we were chatting, I heard that it was raining heavily in the east of the region.
I heard that this sub-human's village was not particularly damaged, but I was still afraid of natural disasters.

As I was having a conversation with this sub-human, the representative of the next settlement soon arrived.

After this, at this rate, the heads of the settlements and cities paid me a courtesy call almost without interruption.
In some cases, I felt a bit distressed because they had been put together too much and had no choice but to meet with all three parties at the same time.
It's okay on the other side. We came on our own.
Although he laughed at me, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him.

 On the way
Hey, congratulations.
I was very happy when Walter came in with a big smile on his face, but we didn't have much time to talk because the next visitor soon arrived.
Don't worry about it. Let's just talk about it another time, have a drink.
With that, Gelter walked towards the venue.

I had been dealing with such visitors until just before the opening ceremony.
Hurry up, little man.
I hurried with Unja to the venue where the opening ceremony was to be held.

When I arrived, it was just about time for the opening ceremony.

I looked around the hall, still breathing hard, and saw
The place was already almost full.

Although this venue has been rented out to some famous artists in the past, the fact that it was filled to capacity was probably due to the condensation of the festival.

Erdena, the hostess of the festival, gave me a brief introduction.
I'm going to say a quick hello to everyone and
Ladies and gentlemen, have a good day.
When he finally strangled the audience with these words, the audience cheered in a way that made them shout in unison.

 The summer festival has begun.
