149 . Second week of remote city training Part 1

After two days off, the frontier city training began again.

It was the second week, and it was still the same.
Most of the lectures are based on a mountain of reference books and materials.

There's also an exam on the weekend based on this, so if you don't get your revenge on the content from the beginning of the week as well, you could be in big trouble on the weekend.

And that's what we all thought.

When this day's lecture at the beginning of the week ended, the head of the training, Grand Doughnut, arrived.
He said, "Well, I'd like to inform you that this week I'm going to visit a frontier city near the royal capital for hands-on training from the day after tomorrow until the weekend.
As a result, this week's exam will be held after tomorrow's lecture.
If you don't get a score, you won't be able to participate in the field trip, so you'll have to work like hell.
Grandonut said, and left the room.

At this point, there was a big reason why the grand doughnut went out of his way to tell him to "die for it.

If they failed tomorrow's exam, the next day or the day after would normally be the re-test.
However, according to the Groundnut's explanation, the day after tomorrow they would gather in front of the Frontier Bureau at the first thing in the morning and move to the site, so there would be no re-testing... In other words, if they failed to get a passing score on tomorrow's exam, they would be disqualified immediately and their eligibility to participate in the training would be revoked.

As soon as the staff informed them of this, the participants were in a panic.

 However.
Kiristic said that he would turn his condescending gaze on everyone.
'Wouldn't you rather have an easier week, since you only need two days?
So that's what he was muttering about...

So Kiristic's argument is certainly not wrong, either.

However, the way he said it was still harsh, so
It was also true that Kiristic had become quite buoyant among these trainees over the last week.

I received such a visit from Kiristic and was asked to take care of him, and so...
So, to be honest, I had to be confused as to what to raise and how to do it.

The next day's class, I think everyone was even more enthusiastic than usual.
Normally, we would take the content of the day's lectures back home and discuss what we had questions about or didn't understand in the lecture room the next morning, but today, we had an exam right after the lecture was over, so there was no time to review or confirm what we had learned in that way.
Therefore, everyone immediately asked the lecturer about the places they had the slightest doubt or didn't understand.

Last week's lecture was a rather good trend, considering that in general, most of us were struggling to transcribe the content of the lecture in our notes.

Incidentally, both me and Kiristic used to raise our hands and ask questions on the spot from the middle of last week's lecture.

The training ended an hour earlier than usual.

Then, without a break, I wondered if a grand doughnut walked into the lecture room.
All right, everybody get ready for the test.
As soon as we said so, the attendant started handing out the test papers to us.

And as soon as the test papers were handed out
You have one hour. Then let's start.
At the signal of the groundnut, the test began.

 Just.
As Christine said, I felt it was very easy to take this exam because it only has two days' worth of content.
After all, there were only questions from yesterday's lecture and today's, so I was able to finish the exam fairly quickly, as it was still fresh in my mind.

'Okay, that's it,'
At the same time as the time, the groundnut called out.
At the sound of his voice, the attendant quickly collected the exam paper.
Granddonut left the room once with these exam questions.

Immediately after this, several female students had left their seats.
That's probably true... after all, they hadn't had a break at all since lunch until here...

When all of these female students had returned, Grandma Nuts came into the room again.

''Well, this time I will only announce a perfect score.
Chyristic Gossage Lycnus that is all.
Grandonut clapped as he said this.
All of the students in the course hurriedly applauded as well.
In case you're wondering, I was called by name as well, but I applauded in respect to the other two.
However, Kyristick had a blatant expression of disgust towards Riknas, and....

Thus, after a perfect score was announced.
But the next person to leave the room will be disqualified.
With that, Grandonut called out a few names.

One of them was Gaboz's name.
Like us, he was one of the five people who had passed the first test on the first try.

Gabozh turned pale, packed his bags, and left the room.

I had some mixed feelings about the reality that one of the four people I started this training with and spent the most time with was gone.

 Just.
The grand doughnut is that all of the disqualified people leave the room.
Then I'll explain the on-the-job training that starts tomorrow.
He began to explain the next training program as if nothing had happened.

He said that this training program would take us to a frontier city near the capital, where we would tour the city and submit a report at the end.
This frontier city is recognized by the Central Agency as a city with excellent management. This frontier city has been recognized by the Central Agency as an excellent city to manage.
It was Grandonats who said that and smiled.

◇ ◇ ◇.

When the briefing was over and we were dismissed, I left the lecture hall and hurried to the exit of the frontier station.
I wanted to have a little chat with Gaboz.
It was also a bit of a regret that we hadn't had a single dinner party among the trainees last week, partly because I didn't have the time to mentally relax...

 But I didn't see Gaboz.
When Gabozh left the room, he seemed to have gone straight back to his quarters.

I was thinking of going to meet him in his quarters, but
I didn't feel good about chasing after Gaboz who had gone that far...

I've dodged their contact information, so I'm thinking of sending them a letter next time.

◇ ◇ ◇.

When I returned to Quinn's private residence, I immediately began to prepare for the training that would begin tomorrow.
Since it's going to be three days and two nights, I'll need a change of clothes, and I'll probably need some study tools.
Although I have a magic bag, so I have no trouble taking it with me, I thought it would be a good idea to take even unnecessary things with me, so I scrutinized the contents to some extent.

Since one squire is allowed to accompany me.
Leave it to me, little one. I'll do my best to support you.
Unya tapped me on the chest with a big smile on her face.

After all, it's better than going to an unfamiliar place alone.
It was really reassuring to have a good-natured Unna with me.

That day, I reviewed the training in my own way and decided to go to bed early.

 And then Unna.
Hey, little girl. Good night.
With that, he greeted her and closed the bedroom door.

Unya never misses a greeting like this every day....
Not long after, the bedroom door opened softly.

From there, Unja peeked out of the room.
Hey, little man, do you need a night out?
I said that and smiled at him.

.........What can I say, Unna's greeting always ends up being a set up.

I returned a wry smile to Unja like that.
No, that's okay.
 He replied that.

 However, Unya was not.
Well, I'll see you tomorrow.
He pulled his face back as he said this.

This time, staring at the door, which was completely shut, I shrugged my shoulders, feeling like, oh dear, I'm going to get into bed.
