204 . Frontier city 3

A few days later, a meeting to form a coalition of frontier cities was to be held in Liberty Combe.
I distributed the invitation to each of the neighboring cities.
Thanks to Foldente's help, I even got a response right away.

The body has already disappeared, and Foldente, a thought-body being, is able to shift at will.
I've been able to make use of this power to distribute these letters and convey urgent communications to the other side.
This is a great help to Liberty Combe as well, with Foldente handling the negotiations and information gathering for us.

Everyone's been very receptive.
As Foldente had reported to me, early on the morning of the day, representatives from all the frontier cities began to arrive at Liberty Combe in droves.
After welcoming everyone in front of the town hall, I immediately escorted everyone to the conference room.
Gelter, the lord of the frontier city of Batcombe, hadn't been able to arrive easily, but just before the time for the meeting to start, he rushed into the town hall with his secretary and the captain of the Gelter Destroyed Maid Squad, commonly known as the GDM Squad, Deefena.
''That's why I offered to wait until after the meeting at least.
Maybe it was my imagination, but I had the feeling that Diefena was poking at Geltor while fixing the disarray in her own clothes, making some kind of red face...

Anyway, after arriving safely at the meeting, Gelter handed out the documents he had brought with him to all the participants.

Incidentally, the people attending this meeting were

From the frontier city of Liberty Combe, I, the lord, and my deputy, Erdena Biblina.
From the frontier city of Batcombe, the lord, Gelter, and his secretary, Deefena
From the frontier city of Greencombe, there are four of the lord groups, a racial lord and two elven lords each.
From the frontier city of Urinacombe, the acting lord, Riknas
From the small frontier city of Pyx, the lord, Chrome, and two of his secretaries, the fairy tribe.
From the small frontier city of Eads, there is a lord, Raymuris, and two elves, his secretary.

There are several outlying small cities south of the Greencombe, and we were trying to get them to attend this meeting, but one of the Greencombe lord groups, Erdena's father, who is one of the lords of the Greencombe
'I have been given a power of attorney from all the lords of the neighboring frontier small towns in our Greencombe.
With that said, he submitted four documents.
It was to the effect that 'All authority regarding the Association is delegated to the Green Comb representative', and at the end of the document was the name of each frontier small city and the signature of the lord.

''Well, well, let's get the association started, shall we?''
When everyone had finished reading through the documents that had been handed out to them, Gelter called out in a loud voice.

The document explained the future of the Union of Frontier Cities, among other things.
A lot of text was devoted to mutual help, especially in the economic field and mutual cooperation with regard to urban guards.
I didn't find any problems with the content, but I did have one point...
''Well I don't disagree that the representative of the Union of Frontier Cities is Gelter, but I'm wondering if it's a good idea to have my name on the vice-president.
Well my name was written under the name of Gelter, as a deputy representative........
The Lords of Greencombe are considerably older than I am, and I thought they would be more suitable for the job.
'Oh, well, in that case, I've already received informal consent from all the Lords of Greencombe, so it's not a problem.
In front of Gelter who said that, the four lords participating as representatives of the Green Comb nodded in unison.
In front of me, who was confused, Gelter smiled with a snicker and said
Well, you know, it's just to make things easier for me and the uncle lord of Greenconvex... Well, that's half a joke, but, well, the younger generation is working hard, and that's why they want to be selected.
Gelter said that and patted me on the shoulder.
If that was said, and in addition, I already had the informal consent of all of the Lord's Group of Greencombe's lords, then it would be a bad idea for me to adamantly decline here... After thinking about that for a while, I thought about it.
...I understand. I'll do my best.
I stood up and replied, and bowed my head to everyone in the hall.

When I accepted the position of vice-representative, no other opinion was expressed.

It's a good idea to sign this as proof that you agree with the establishment of the Coalition.
As he said this, Walter handed me a document.
 In that document.
"United Frontier Cities Agreement
and at the end was already signed by Gelter.
When I checked the document, I wrote my signature underneath Geltor's name.
Erdena, who had received the document from me, went around to the other participants with it.
All the delegates who had been handed the document by Eldena were checking the contents and writing their signatures at the bottom.

It took a little over ten minutes.

All the participants finished writing their signatures.
After collecting the paperwork, Erdena handed me the document first.
I check to see if the signatures on the document I received are in order.
After confirming that all the signatures of all the participants have been properly scratched, I also check the contents of the power of attorney submitted by the Green Convoy representative and hand the set to Gelter.
Like me, Gelter confirmed the signature on the agreement and then confirmed the contents of the power of attorney.
''Yes, then, since the representative and deputy representative have confirmed that the documents are in order, I hereby declare that the new Frontier Cities Union has been established.......well, it will be operated on a temporary basis until the approval of the royal capital arrives,''
 Walter said, and then.
Well, that being said, I look forward to working with you all.
With a smile on his face, he went to the side of all the participants and exchanged a firm handshake with them.

As soon as the meeting ended, Gelter began to prepare the documents to be submitted to the King's Capital.
The consent form with everyone's signatures scratched on it, the accompanying power of attorney, and the booklet explaining the coalition this time - the same one Geltar had initially distributed to all the participants.
When he had finished preparing them, Gelter sealed the sealed envelope in which they were loaded with wax.
Then, well, do you mind if I ask Ms. Foldente to bring it to King's Landing?
 That's what the voice said.
At the same time as his voice, the figure of Foldente came into view behind Geltor.
''Yes, yes, you're rough with people, aren't you?''
Foldente said this without receiving the sealed letter in Geltor's hand and then disappeared.
Geltar, who had been staring at the area where Foldente had disappeared
Well, I don't think they'd say no, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do that until I get the letter of authorization.
He smiled bitterly as he said that.

Fortunately, a messenger from King's Capital brought the approval letter for the Union of Frontier Cities just 26 days after Foldente brought the documents to King's Capital.

Considering that it takes about 20 days by carriage from King's Landing to Liberty Combe, it only took about 6 days to be approved in King's Landing.
"For a regional frontier bureau with a heavy backbone, you've responded very quickly.
Biblina was smiling happily as she said that.

Nevertheless, this Union of Frontier Cities that was inaugurated, but as soon as it was launched, it was found to have a few difficulties.
In particular, the problem is Urina Combe.
This Urinacombbe is currently experiencing an abnormal decrease in the number of territorial residents and even the functioning of the city has been paralyzed due to the incitement of the dark charm affair as an example.
In this regard, Liberty Combe has already dispatched support troops.
Right now, in order to reorganize the wholesale market, I'm dispatching Black, the head of the wholesale market at Liberty Combe.
Once again, I have to ask for some kind of cooperation from other cities as well, while thinking about that, I asked Foldente to go check the situation in Urina Combe.
If I don't get the latest information, I won't be able to answer any inquiries from other cities.......that's what I thought.
In the time it took for Foldente to come back, I took care of the paperwork at Liberty Combe.
At this rate, it looks like the busy days are still ahead of us.

I'm thinking that it would be a hassle if Korok started to spoil it by wanting to play with me and Erdena, so I'm going to play with both Korok and Tiree once this paperwork is done.
