209 . Frontier City Alliance 2

On this day, one night later, I left with Eldena for the frontier city of Greenconven.
We are escorted by three people: Kornes of the bird race, Chias of the leopard race, and Dodona of the golem race.
Dodona steered the horse, while Chias stood next to him.
Kornes accompanies them as they fly over the carriage.

Therefore, it was just me and Erdena in the carriage.

I lightly finished the day's meeting.
''So ... after the meeting, but I'm going to formally greet Eldena's parents.
 I told him so.
I've already told her in a letter that I intend to register her and that I'm going to adopt Korok as my daughter.
Erdena sat across from me at first, but when I told her about it, she moved to sit next to me.
'...Thank you, Safate.
Eldena said and gently kissed me.
I held Eldena gently in my arms.

It's been a long time coming, but now Eldena and I are officially married.
I've been thinking about having a wedding reception as soon as possible, but I haven't been able to find a way to make that happen because I've been busy with this and that.
".........that's not important.
 Then Eldena kissed me again.

We spent a little time together.

The carriage carrying us arrived at the Green Convex shortly afterwards.

On this day, a regular meeting was being held in the Green Convoy with the representatives of the outlying small cities and settlements to the south.
We have heard that many of those outlying small towns and settlements are interested in participating in the stagecoach network from Liberty Combe.
We are here today to hear what those people are asking for.

The representative of the stagecoach management company that is established in Greenconbe had already arrived at the town hall and greeted us.
The stagecoach management company is run by a group of wild boars who pull the stagecoaches.
These boars are punctual and are good at remembering the routes, but they are not very good at math, paperwork, and negotiations. That's why they ask the ants to help them with those tasks.
This ant-man is called Kurek, and he is one of the subordinates of Alea the ant-man who is working as the chief of the finance section at Liberty Combe.
''My lord, thank you for your hard work,''
Yeah, well, good job, Krek.
We exchanged a brief greeting and were led into the reception room in the town hall by a Greencombe town hall official who was standing with Kurek.
''We'll pick you up as soon as the meeting is over,''
The staff member, an elf woman, bowed deeply and left the reception room.
I talked with Kurek about the status of the stagecoach operation.

According to Kurek, the new stagecoach network that is being developed here in Green Convoy is doing well in general.
'It's still small in scale, but all of our services are almost always full,'
Krek smiled happily as he said that.
As they were exchanging such a conversation, the Elf staff member from earlier entered the reception room again.
''The previous meeting is over, please come in.
The Elf staff led me, Erdena Kurek, and I to the conference room.

Inside the conference room where a liaison meeting had apparently been held earlier.
When we walked into it, everyone greeted us with applause.
One of the people applauding us stood up, and one Kobold stood up.
'We are keen to expand the Liberty Combe stagecoach network. We wish you well today.
After saying this, Kobold walked over to me and shook my hand.
Following this, the representatives in the room came to me one after another to shake my hand.

When the handshake had run its course, a meeting began.

The meeting was supposed to be a meeting to listen to the demands of small cities and villages on the frontier that wanted to expand the stagecoach network.
To that end, I spread out the map of the southern region of the frontier city of Greencombe that Kurek had prepared for me on my desk.
'As soon as possible, would you all who wish to enter the stagecoach, please mark your mark on this map?
So I called out to them.

As soon as I finished speaking, everyone in the conference room rushed to the map.
In the blink of an eye, many marks were written on the map.

As everyone finished writing, Kurek began to check it out.
Kurek was from a settlement south of the Green Convoy and was extremely familiar with the terrain in this area.
Because of this, he is able to immediately determine what kind of terrain surrounds the marked markings and what kind of route would be most efficient.
Kurek folded his arms from time to time as he drew lines and annotations on the map and pondered.
 Still, within five minutes.
That's about as good as it gets.
As I say this, I take my gaze off the map and look around at all of the representatives gathered around me.
''Now let's start the hearing........First of all, here in Azu village, the place where we want to stop, why are there five places we want to stop in this small village?''
'Oh, and by the way, there are a lot of elderly people in our community...'
In this way, Kurek went through the map one by one, checking each of the points he had doubts about.
On top of that, he quickly dismissed the ones he thought were unreasonable and unnecessary, while he suggested more of the ones he thought would be better.
 Inside.
Please don't say so, please add to it.
If there was a case that was deemed unnecessary by Krek, I would listen to the representative again, discuss it with him, and then make a final decision on the matter.
However, since Kurek's decision was correct in almost all cases, there wasn't a single case that was overturned by my decision.

Although the discussion got pretty heated, the meeting still ended in less than three minutes.
I think the meeting went smoothly, thanks to Krek's initial rough decisions.
I had heard from Alea beforehand that Krek was excellent, especially in tasks like building a stagecoach network, but I didn't expect him to be this great.

''Then, we will operate the new stagecoach in line with today's decision. As for the preparations for that, I'll leave it up to Kurek, the head of this Greencombe stagecoach company, so.......
Upon receiving my greeting, Kurek bowed again to everyone.
At the latest, the stagecoach will be in operation by the end of this year, as decided today. Thank you for your cooperation.
He said and bowed his head once again.

When the meeting was over, Kurek rushed out of the conference room without so much as a greeting.
Probably, he would take the matter that had just been decided upon back to the company and begin the preparatory work for the operation as soon as possible.
I wanted to thank him for today, but Kurek's actions were so quick that I didn't have time to do so.
I consulted with Erdena and decided to visit Kurek again early in the new year to thank him again after the new stagecoach network had begun operating.

After this meeting, Erdena and I met with Erdena's father, one of the lords of Greencomb, in another room.
'This is my office, please,'
 So says Erdena's father.
Erdena's mother was already sitting on the reception set in the room.

I was in front of those two.
'As I have told you in my letter, I would like to marry Miss Erdena. If you will permit me to do so....
I don't give a d*mn about that.
Thank you for your continued support of Eldena.
Eldena's parents nodded repeatedly at my words and said so.
I'm sure you'll be happy to know that I'm not the only one who's been in this situation.

After this, we had lunch with Eldena's parents.
Next time, please bring your adopted daughter, Korok-san, with you to visit us.
After Erdena's father said this, he said
And I'm expecting to have two children.
 I added.
Me and Eldena said, "Preferably sooner rather than later...
And that's all I could say...
