22-Satie's monologue ††

 ††† (the maid's Satie perspective)

 As always, master is amazing.

It's hard to explain what's so great about him, but I can tell you that he is great.

 Four-wheel crop (Norfolk) farming?

And then he invents a farming method that I've never heard of, which increases the amount of food many times over.

Grain, turnips and other crops are delivered daily from master's experimental farm.

I do my best to cook them and serve them to Master, Jiron the Orc, and the other brigade members, and the taste is generally favorable.

I can't do anything useful for master's work, but I feel very happy just to be able to feed him this way.

Everyone always compliments my cooking, saying, "It's delicious, it's delicious.

When I was in the mansion of the former master, the lord of Arsenum, I couldn't imagine this. My former master had his own cook, and he would not even eat the food I made.

I was in charge of preparing meals for the servants, but perhaps this is why I can make a good meal even if I don't use very high quality ingredients.

Of course, I cook for my current master, Ike, using the best ingredients, but this immortal brigade doesn't seem to have that much money in their pocket.

We have to save as much money as possible to cook.

--When you think about it, money is a strange word for a demon king's army.

When Ike first handed me the money, I was in a shocked state of mind.

Because, don't you think it's a strange thing for the Demon King's Army to pay to buy something?

 Is it just me?

But all the merchants who came in and out of this Ivalice had a strange look on their faces at first, so this impression must not be unique to me.

The master not only pays the merchants properly, but also gives them the money they deserve if they make the people of the city work.

So it seems that the people of this town are not so afraid of their master, or even the Demon King's Army.

But I guess they just look at him from afar, thinking that he seems to be a bit scary.
........even though they really aren't scared at all.

It looks like a skeleton wearing a robe, so it's scary, but I know better than anyone else how kind-hearted they are.

There is no one more merciful than the master.

I advertise this to the people of the city every chance I get, but even now, when I see the master's image, there are people who freeze up.

Well, we have to change this situation somehow.
 What should we do?

Ah, yes. Maybe we could invite everyone in town to the pavilion for a tea party next time.

If we all drink tea and get to know each other better, we might be able to naturally become friends.
I'll have to talk to Ike about it right away.
