38-Immortal Brigade Army

Back in the city of Ivalice, I gathered the principal officers and held a military council.
The main cadres gathered in the round table room in my mansion.

Sati pours each of the brigade's leaders a cup of tea and distributes cookies to each of them.
A pleasant aroma fills the round table room.
I watched as Satie finished distributing the tea and sweets and then looked at the leaders.

I look at Jiron, the orc chief of staff, first.
He's a chief of staff, but he doesn't look like a chief of staff at all.
In the first place, I never ask this guy about strategy or tactics.

When I'm in doubt, I ask him about strategy, but when I do, I always go with the opposite side of Giron's argument.

Because if I did so, I would always succeed.
In that sense, he was an indispensable person for this Immortal Brigade.
And although this man was incompetent, he had charm and loyalty.
The other day on the battlefield, he even took an arrow to protect me.
I'm sure the arrow wound is still there.

I said I would use my magic to completely remove the scar, but Jiron is stubbornly refusing to do so.

"This arrow wound is a sign that you protected your husband. I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.

And sometimes they roll up their sleeves and show me their wounds.

He may be trying to be flattering, but he's much more trustworthy than a demon tribe that just sycophants and runs away at the most critical moment.

Next I looked at Shigan, a demon of the dragon race.
The Dragon People are the Dragon Newt.
They are sub-humans that have a form between a human and a dragon.

When it becomes a high ranking one, it can change into a real dragon, but unfortunately, Shigan cannot change into a dragon.

However, his personal prowess is quite impressive, and when it comes to spearmanship in particular, he can be said to be the best in our brigade.

However, his disadvantage is his taciturnity and lack of charm.
I'd like to see him with at least a tenth of the charm and amiability of Giron.

He has been my subordinate since the formation of this brigade, and 70 percent of the words he says are 'yes' or 'approval'.

He is the opposite type of loyal vassal to Giron.

The last person I looked at was Lilith, the succubus of the whore tribe.
She is a beautiful woman with brown skin.
She seems to have reached the age of maturity, but I don't know her age.
There is nothing more foolish or pointless than asking a woman her age.
I suppose the important thing is that she's good at what she does.
In terms of personal prowess, she should be one of the best in our brigade.

However, the problem is that she's not smart enough, she assumes things too much, and she's jealous.

The other problem is that he is obsessed with me.
Whenever I give him a chance, he comes at me.
It's bad enough that at any given moment they know I'm human.

The legion leader, Cephiro, has known about it from the start, so I don't have a problem with him.
The commander-in-chief of the Demon King's army, the Demon King, has already found out, so there's no problem.

However, if this girl finds out, she will act like a succubus of the whore race if she finds out.
A succubus is a succubus that sucks the semen out of human men.
I shudder to think that if this girl finds out my identity, I'll be horrified.

As I was thinking about this, the orc Jiron asked for an explanation.

''By the way, sir, what's on the agenda for this military council?

That primed them all to look at me.

Yeah, that's right. I just wanted to make sure that we have a policy for our brigade for the time being.
Policy, sir? Is it about the League of Lords?

Lilith, the Immortal Brigade's second-in-command, asks.

'Yeah, about that,'

I see. Then it's a quick and easy way to do it. We'll attack them before they can attack us, and we'll do it for them.

 Lilith smiles wryly.
 The other troop leaders concur.

''My brigade is flying fast. And now that Master Ike is the deputy commander of our corps, we have nothing to fear.

The morale of everyone, including Lilith, was strong.
My Immortal Brigade had yet to lose since its formation.
It was inevitable that we would get into the habit of underestimating our enemies.

However, it is said that carelessness and defeat are better together than any couple.
It was his duty as a brigade commander to tighten the reins of his men here.

''Lilith, don't be too hasty. It's still too early to fight the allied forces of the Lords Alliance.''

When Lilith hears those words, she looks disappointed.
On the other hand, Shigan of the dragon race asks without moving a single eyebrow.

''Then what are your thoughts, Ike-sama? What do you want us to do, prepare for battle?

Of course you will fight, of course. But our goal is not the League of Kings. Our plan is to capture a city.

City capture?

 Sigan replies shortly.

'Yeah, this mission is all about rescuing one man who is imprisoned in a city.

 I continue.

"That man's name is Günther. Have you ever heard of him?

 They all shook their heads.

Aside from Lilith and Shigan, who were the commanders of the unit, it was shameful for them to shake their heads, even Jiron, who was the chief of staff.

''--I mean the dwarf king.

With those words, Jiron finally seemed to remember Günther.

''Ah, you were the king of Wilheim, the dwarven kingdom in the west, right?
'Ex'.

 I stand corrected.

'It was. I believe the humans have been destroyed and are now locked up somewhere.

That's right.

As I recall, you're imprisoned in the Kingdom of Ismus, further west of Rosalia.
'Yeah, it was Ismus who destroyed Wilheim. It wouldn't be surprising if he was in that custody. No wonder.

But then, wouldn't that mean we'd have to destroy Rosalia first?

It was Lilith who asked me that.

What makes you think that?

Because we need to cut through Rosalia's territory. Right now, I hear that armies from all over the world are gathering in Rosalia's royal capital. In such a situation, it's impossible to cut right through to Ismus.

You said earlier that there was nothing to be afraid of.

 I'll be a little sarcastic.

''No, that's it, this is it. After all, there are things that the demon race can and cannot do.

 That's right.
If anything was possible, I would have dropped the royal capital of Rosalia by now.

I'm sure you'll be able to find a way to make the most of your time in the city.

I'm not going to be able to get out of the house, but I'm going to be able to get out of the house.
I reiterated this to everyone, but the dragon man, Sigan, asked in a calm tone of voice.

''In other words, is it correct to say that Ike-sama has a plan to pierce through Rosalia and attack Ismus?

 I reply with one word.

'You're welcome to think so.'

 No one doubts your words.

Maybe my track record makes it so, but Shigan and Lillis have complete faith in me.

If I ordered them to jump into the enemy's large army by themselves, these two would gladly follow that order.

Of course, they would never give such a nonsensical order.

However, the orc's chief of staff, Jiron, seems to be the only one who is skeptical.
He still twists his head around.
 He is still a pipsqueak.

The only way to convince this wimp is to actually cut through Rosalia and attack Ismus territory.

I told everyone the outline of the plan.
