420-The taste of victory sake...

After the game with Megiddo-san was over, I went around the various attractions with Lilia-san and the others.
They all felt like sports games, and we were able to have quite a good time going around, but to be honest, our results were not great.

Because I couldn't concentrate on the attractions, either because I was distracted after my victory over Megiddo, or because I still hadn't woken up from the joy of winning Megiddo.
It was the first time I'd ever fought to the death in front of such a large crowd, and perhaps it was inevitable that the realization came late.

And we went around the attraction until about the evening, but the additional stamps we got were 22. We went to the central square to exchange the stamps for prizes depending on how many we collected.
I was sure I would be counted as 22 stamps, but each of the Five Warlords' oversized stamps is worth 10 stamps. The super-sized stamps, which are proof of victory over Megiddo, are calculated as a hundred stamps for each one.

In other words, the stamps I collected were worth 172 stamps, and I was able to get the top prize, a glove made from Megiddo-san's mane... hmmm...

What can I say, it's a very useless item. At the very least, I'll never have the opportunity to touch magma from now on.......or rather, I don't want to come close to magma either.
Couldn't we just use them instead of gloves or mittens? It's no good. Yes, it seems to be a very expensive item...well, let's think about how to use it.

And so the hectic first day of the Sixth King Festival came to an end at eight o'clock in the evening, and the participants returned to their accommodations.
However, since Lilia-san and I had received an invitation to a banquet from Megiddo-san, we didn't go back to our accommodations, but instead moved to the central tower where the confrontation with Megiddo-san took place.

........Funny, isn't it? How did this happen?

There were currently a lot of people in my line of sight, and I was standing on a raised platform looking down on them.

'Oh!' You're all here!

And beside me was Megiddo, who had returned to his original form, nodding with satisfaction at the gathered people. Again, how did this happen?

As soon as I reached the banquet hall, I was separated from Lilia-san and the others and somehow came to the stage set up in the center with Megiddo-san.
Everywhere I looked, people, people, people...............................formation by 360 degree surrounded gaze. I'm unsettled. Really uncomfortable.

Megiddo-san proceeded to speak loudly, as if to say that he didn't care about my state of mind.

I've invited my men and the ones who excelled at today's festival to come here! Good fight, all of you! It was a great day! As a thank you, we've prepared a bottle of fine wine and plenty of food for you to eat. Make as much noise as you want!

With Megiddo's voice, a loud cheer went up.
As I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere of a true banquet, Megiddo picked me up and put me on his shoulder. What is this?

But before the feast begins, I want to introduce you guys to someone! 'The only one who's ever defeated me'.......Miyama Kite!

Immediately after, a loud cheer again. Oh, oh........

I heard from Alice on the way here that I was the only one who was able to challenge Megide-san in this attraction... or rather, I was the only one who was able to do so.

''Alright! Kite beat me. Which means I'm better than everyone else in this banquet right now! Hey! The mighty have arrived! Come on!

A moment later, a cracking cheer..........................wow. My body is shaking.
Or rather, no matter how much you lift it, you're lifting it too high........

After that loud cheering subsides, Megiddo-san announces the start of the banquet. Most of the people gathered here are under Megide-san's command, which means they are accustomed to banquets, and so the noisy banquet has begun without any confusion.

Here and there they raise their glasses in the direction of me and say "Cheers! I looked down at the sight of him shouting, and an indescribable feeling welled up in my chest.

After setting me down slowly like that, Megiddo-san took out a large cup out of nowhere and handed one of them to me before pouring the drink.

''.......................Here, look at that, Kite.
What?
You're better than anyone else in this room today and no one's complaining because you beat me.
Mr. Megiddo.
'Proud of you, Kite. At least you fought your way into the fight against me and won. This scene was definitely won by you.
....

Again. Another indescribable itch in the back of my chest....Ah, yes, I know this feeling.
This is called a sense of achievement.........

At the same time as I realized this, I felt a surge of joy. That's right........it was a muddy battle. Maybe luck was on my side, maybe it was Alice's support from behind the scenes.
 Still, I'm sure I ... won ... by myself ... against Megiddo-san ... and I won.

'Come on, Kite. Drink up, let's have a toast!
'Oh, yes! I'll take it!

As I was savoring the feeling of victory that had finally sprung up, Megiddo-san called out to me to toast me.

''........It's very tasty. Is it an expensive drink?
No, it's a pretty good one, but it's not that rare.
But it's delicious. Of all the drinks I've ever had, it's by far the best.......
Yeah, hey, kite. I'm sorry I had to be so selfish today.
'What? Oh, no... or rather, what was it that Megide-san wanted to teach you, after all?

While having a somewhat peaceful conversation, I take another sip of my drink and then ask Megide-san.

Yeah? Yeah well, yeah. Hey, kite. You've had a rough day, haven't you?
Oh, um... yes.
Ha, ha, I know. You've been through some hardships, you've been tired... but what do you think? Fighting to the death, winning ... and then drinking afterwards, isn't it great?
Huh? ........Yes!
You remember, Kite. That's what they call "victory wine.
'....Victory wine...maybe it's....

Is this what you wanted me to know, Mr. Megiddo? Just as I was about to ask him that, Megiddo-san drank the liquor in his cup in one go, turned to me and smiled boldly.

'Well, that's certainly true but there's one more thing. Kite, you're an amazing guy. But you also have flaws. Your flaw is 'low self-esteem'.
Ugh.....
'What? You know what you're doing........then you better learn it right away. I'll say it again, you're an amazing guy or I wouldn't have lost twice. So, well, what the hell.... hold on to your ground, have some confidence, you're not a pathetic person who only gets saved. It's a guy who can grab the glory by himself.
Mr. Megiddo.

That affirmation was a powerful push for me. What can I say, I'm really.......blessed. There are people who warn me when I'm wrong and scold me when I'm reckless, and there are people who push me back.
It really is the best thing that could happen to you.

That's some weird shit to say. Well, drink again! I'm going to drink my ass off today!
Yes!

Dear Mom and Dad - confused, tired, struggling, and yet desperately grasping for victory. Maybe I'll never forget today.
