10-Otomodachi

Eira. That's a nice name. You can call me Taiki.

You mean Taiki, right?

Mmm-hmm.

It's still awkward, but I feel like we've gotten a lot closer.

Talking to Eira definitely makes my heart flutter, but this is a side effect of being alone for a month. It's not like I'm tokiing a girl who is half my size.

As she was making excuses to herself in her chest, Eira raised her eyebrows a little uneasily.

''Ah, um ... how many sorcerers are there in this, this mysterious place?''

And then suddenly he asks me that question and I twist my head around.

 Huh?

 What's a sorcerer?

 A wizard?

I groaned as I thought about that, and finally realized that I hadn't.

Oh well. You think there's a wizard because you're watching the island fly. Sure, it's hard to believe that such a huge thing can fly, isn't it?

I nodded my head repeatedly, convinced by myself.

 Then I look at Eira.

'I'm the only one in this castle.

What?

Eira blinked at my answer, and after a few seconds, she looked up to see if she understood the meaning of the words.

'Hi, hi, one! Taiki........Taiki-sama, are you alone?

I don't know why they upgraded it to a make-up job. Is that it? Is it an insult to say you're alone?

I'm alone.

If you want to laugh with someone who is lonely, you can laugh. I'm really lonely, though, so I can't even make a guffawing sound.

Thinking about that, Eira turned her gaze to A1, sweating like a waterfall.

''Then these golems........those masses of golems.......''

Hmm? Hmmm, like a subordinate? It would be best if you could talk to me.

I laugh at that, and A1 only turns his face to me. What, A1, are you trying to tell me that we're best friends? You're so sweet.

As A1 and I are sharing a time that's almost like an eternity, a shocked-looking Eira looks at me.

''Soooo, you're an amazing person...''

He said that in a snarky voice and I nodded my head.

'I don't know, but it's almost evening today. Maybe I'll have to talk to you tomorrow.

After I told him that, I suddenly remembered.

Where should I ask Eira to sleep? There is no way I can share a room with a young maiden.

I'm not sure if it's this high-class hotel-like room on the floor. Fortunately, there is no bathroom in the room, but there is a shower room. There is also a toilet.

Shall I show you to your room?

Uh-huh.

Eira replied and followed, A1 following behind her to protect her.

I leave the dining room and look out at the corridor that stretches to the left and right.

'Would you like to be closer? Or is it better to be far away?

Because...?

I recommend the one near the elevator. The one that goes into the cylinder. You can't get around without it.

Oh, that's the round one, so I'll take it there, please.

We walked to the front of the elevator after that exchange and opened the door to the nearest room.

Opening it up inside, there was a passageway with enough room for two people to walk side by side, with a door in the middle of it. On the other side of the door was a separate shower and toilet, and at the end of the corridor there was one double bed, a table, two chairs and a sofa.

There was a window about two meters square on the wall, and the evening sun was shining in from outside. The room itself is probably about twenty tatami mats in size. There are closets and shelves embedded in the walls, so the room should actually be much larger than that.

I'm sure you'll be able to find a great deal more to say.

''Is it okay if I stay here!

Yeah. Good.

It's empty, but it's a better room than mine. You'll be glad you did.

Eira looked around the room and made her way to her bed.

'I haven't had a bed in a long time...! Wow, great! Soft but bouncy!

I smiled and nodded at Eira, who pushed the bed over the top with both hands and splashed around like a child. Incidentally, A1 wasn't allowed in the room because of its size.

'It's a nice bed. 'Yeah, it is. Do you want me to show you how to use the toilet and shower?

Shower?

He beckons Eira, who tilts her head slightly, and shows her the shower stall. The beautiful white shower stall looks spacious and easy to use.

I told Eira to watch me and took the nozzle and pointed it at the wall and then turned the hot water out. It has a water heater attached to it, so the water is at the right temperature.

'Here. This is hot water, and this is water.

'What? Hot water just by twisting this...?

Eira's eyes widened even more as she touched the hot water coming out of the nozzle in surprise.

If this was the shower, the toilet must have been even more surprising, because the Japanese have an unusual obsession with toilets and are always looking for the best. The Japanese have an uncanny obsession with toilets, and are always looking for the best one.

I smiled wryly and opened the door to the bathroom.

A beautiful white toilet was revealed and the lid opened automatically as if to say "Welcome".

'Um, is this the toilet?'

 Eira blinks her eyes.

'Yes. Sit here and when you're done, press the button on the Koch. Then the water will come out and wash your butt. All you have to do is use the paper over here to wipe it off and press the button over there and... see.

Jar,' Eira cheers as she sees the water flowing down.

'Great! So this will always keep the bathroom clean! You won't find such an awesome toilet in the royal palace!

Hmm? You are happy in an unexpected direction.

There's no way Eira, the town girl, knows about the toilet situation in the royal palace, but I guess that's how I would say it's the best toilet.

 Mm-hmm. It's all right.

''Is there anything else?

With that, I walked back to the bedroom, and Eira walked in, her excitement fading.

'Nice room, nice bed, nice toilet and shower,'

Eira, who was in such a good mood that she could almost hear herself humming, turned her attention out the window.

'I saw a little bit of it earlier, but it's a beautiful view. 'Oh?' The white house is so....

He lowers his gaze and speaks to a confused Eira with a wry smile.

'No one lives here, though.

When I told her that, Eira turned around to look at me.

'No one? But it's such a beautiful seaside town...

'I'm the only one on this flight island. It's a shame, but it's all empty.

...Air Island?

He nods lightly to Eira, who asks back with a small wrinkle between her eyebrows, and replies.

'Huh? You don't remember? Eira flew to this flying island with A1 there. See, if you look closely, you can see that view drifting away a little bit?

What, eh, eh?

Restlessly comparing me to the scenery outside, Eira stared out the window as she stuck to it.

'Shima, the island, flying...?

Grasping the reality, Eira muttered just that much and then stopped moving.
