99-Meeting

Accompanied by Diego and Rabia, we headed to the main branch of the Reginion Trading Company in the aristocratic district.

''Oh, it's an aristocratic district, but it's a completely different town from the outside,''

When I said that and looked around, Eira and Yuri also nodded.

''It's probably due to the area of land, but they're all a little smaller than the mansions of the nobles of the Atul Kingdom. Instead, they're all at least three stories high, with detailed decorations and statues that are very luxurious.''

It's interesting that the buildings are of a different style than the one in Frieder's Empire. However, I feel as if I am surrounded by high walls, which makes me feel a bit suffocated. Perhaps a little more garden space would give a different impression.

I look up, listening to their impressions.

It is true that each building seems to be different and extravagant in its own way, but the way tall buildings are lined up so tightly together seems to be diminishing the blue sky.

Nevertheless, its streets are definitely cleaner and more orderly than the outside, than the rest of the country.

'Come on, come on, this way,'

And while we were walking around looking around, we had apparently arrived at our destination.

Rabia pointed to a single building with his chest in a pompous manner and looked at us.

'This is the head office of our trade association. How do you like it? Isn't it a magnificent thing? I'm proud to say that our head office is the most beautiful building of any other trade association.

With that said, Diego also looked back at the building with a great deal of pride in his chest.

The pure white walls and the bright red roof reflected in the eyes. The doors and window frames were made of a material that seemed to be made of silvery metal.

As I was admiring how stunning it was indeed, Rabia tapped Diego on the head and turned to me with a bitter smile.

''No, we've only just opened a shop in the nobleman's district.......it's just a new building. Hahaha.''

Rabia did so humbly and grabbed Diego by the collar and pointed his toes toward the entrance of the main store.

Then a young man who looks like a merchant appears from inside at just the right time.

''Welcome to the Reginion Trading Company. Our guest is.........oh, Branch Manager Rabia?

The young man who emerged from inside blinked at Rabia and then looked at me.

The young man bowed to us and checked with Rabia in a small voice. Immediately, Diego, who had been listening at the side, lifted the corners of his eyes and opened his mouth.

'What do you mean! These are the royal families of the two kingdoms, Lord Taiki and Yuri.

Diego's loud, shouting voice was interrupted by a dull sound.

Sensing that he was beginning to send out all sorts of unnecessary information, Rabia swung his fist bone down forcefully. With Diego, who held his head in his hands and stonewalling, at his side, Rabia pointed a powerful smile at the young man.

''It's a guest of a certain noble blood. Politely, please show him to the third floor. I'll head to contact Mister Zigu first.

When Rabia told him that, the young man immediately tightened his dumbfounded face and straightened his back.

''Ha, yes! Hey, sir, come in! It's right here!

The young man's voice flipped over in nervousness. Chuckling, we walked into the store, went to the back of the surprisingly large store and climbed the stairs.

'Sorry the stairs are so narrow. The first floor is the floor where you can actually see and sell the products, but because the basement and second floor are used for stock storage, the stairs are not very wide... Oh, the third floor is reasonably clean, so please don't worry.

I followed the young man who walked in front of me while explaining the store to me in a strangely rapid manner, and we went up to the third floor.

The third floor has a narrow corridor leading to the back, and the walls were covered with pictures of various items. Among them, as a matter of course, are pictures of slaves with prices written on them.

We stopped in front of one of the doors, looking at it with an indescribable feeling.

''Then please wait over here.''

The young man bowed with a natural smile on his face, perhaps because of the relief he felt after he finished guiding them, and then he bowed and slipped away.

''........You ran back, didn't you?

After all, Lord Taiki's majesty...

That's never going to happen.

Laughing and denying Yuri's speculation, he opened the door and found himself in front of a large parlor-like room. It was a room with a calm atmosphere, unified by warm colors, but the furniture placed in it was clearly made to look expensive.

''Oh, a leather sofa.''

A single person's sofa sits conspicuously at the back of the parlor. When I saw it, I couldn't help but sit on it. The soft seat surface and back recline support your body softly, and you can place your hands on the elbow rest that is in just the right position, as if it were custom-made.

''Oh, this is nice,''

Those words came out of my mouth naturally.

It was an enveloping sensation that I had never experienced before.

'Indeed, that single-seater chair seems to be a better article than the others. That's as good as it gets, Taiki-sama.

You look great, sir.

When Eira and Yuri lifted me up, I got a little carried away and crossed my knees in a pompous manner and put my weight on the backrest.

I thought about saying something a little kingly, but I still felt embarrassed and stopped opening my mouth.

And just then, the door to the room was opened from the outside and Rabia and Diego appeared.

And after them stood a somewhat small, middle-aged man with a smile on his face.

''Master Taiki, I've brought Zig, the manager who manages this main shop, with me.

As soon as he entered the room, Rabia uttered that and for some reason, he knelt down. Diego does the same silently, as he has indicated.

While I was stunned by the scene, the man called Sieg, standing at the back of the room, stepped forward and gave a deep curse.

''It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Zig.

Oh, uh, hi. That's very polite...

I responded with only awe in my tone of voice, missing the right moment to get up from my chair.
