168-Episode 168: Org's Trouble?

After rescuing Mr. Aug safely, we came to the bar that doubles as a dining room for dinner.

'Whoa! What am I going to do?!

For some reason, I came across a scene where Mr. Org was screaming at me like it was the end of the world.

"Wha-what's the matter, Mr. Aug?

What the hell happened when he went home during the day to be such a good friend to Celia?

Hmm? .........oh, oh! You're Lex! You've come to the right place!

When I realized it was me who called out to him, his despairing face from earlier brightened as if it was a lie.

'Yes, that's right! You were there!

'What? What do you mean by that?

Hey, Lex! Do you still have some of those dragon scales you gave me before? If you have any, give them to me!

'What? Dragon scales?

It's probably the Green Dragon Scales I gave you as a thank you when we first met.
I sold it at the auction in King's Landing, so I don't have it anymore, and I used up all the little pieces.
The green dragon material I got from the Dragon Peak was used up in the fight to protect the town...

'I'm sorry, sir, I don't have any more copies of that one left.

Oh, no.....

When I told him that there was no material left of the Green Dragon, Mr. Aug plopped down on the table with a gulp.

'What the hell happened?'

It's not just that that bright, confident, top-notch adventurer, Mr. Og, is depressed like this.
Maybe he's involved in something terrible.

My armor...

Yes? Is it armor?

'I took it to old man Gordoff and he said it's not going to get fixed...'

What?

Mr. Aug's armor? Oh, come to think of it, that armor was ruined in the battle with that monster orc.

''But with Goldov-san's skills, wouldn't he be able to cast and melt the broken armor and rebuild it from scratch?

Yes, it may be hard to fix that thing, but it shouldn't be a problem to make it again.

I was told we're out of materials. You can't make armor that covers your body with the rest of your armor pieces, so even if you could, it would only be used to protect a part of you, like a vital point and then he gave me a very good lecture. You can't just run away from them before they do this to you...

Oh, it's more like a sermon was answered by a sermon...?

The weapons were destroyed, and since we lost them in the forest, we'll have to reassemble them all. But even if I managed to get all the equipment together, the materials used for the equipment are ordinary iron and demonic materials, which are several ranks lower than the equipment I've been using. If I had to fight that monster orc again under such circumstances.....

I see, the problem for Og-san is the lack of materials for his equipment.
It's true that if we're up against an enemy that would tear up his equipment like that, I'd want to make sure I have the right equipment.

But why does he insist on using Green Dragon materials?
If we're dealing with a powerful enemy, I'm sure there are materials for stronger demons without having to bother with the weakest dragon materials.

Ah, but if Goldov-san said there are no materials, does that mean that the distribution of materials is stagnant?
Someone could buy it up, or some country could buy it up for the war effort.
So they thought they might be able to get some of the lesser quality green dragon material?

And maybe it's because he doesn't want to think that he won against the opponent who made him blunder, because he doesn't want to think that he won with the power of his equipment, that's why he dares to stick to the Green Dragon material.
Yeah, the Great Swordsman Rygard also avenged his stigma by daring to fight and win a revenge match against the enemy he had made blind by using the same equipment as his opponent.
I'm sure Aug is thinking the same thing.

Hmm, in that case, I'd love to provide you with the Green Dragon material, but that thing is gone.
At least if it's material of the same rank...

Oh, yes!

Then I remembered that I had gotten just the right thing just recently.

''Org, I don't have any green dragon material, but how about some material from a demon of the same rank?''

"...What?

At my suggestion, Aug-san wakes up with a bang.

It's not a good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for, but it's not a good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for, because the quality of the material is a few ranks lower than the original. If you're okay with that, I'll offer it to you, though.

"Seriously? That's great! By all means, give it to me!

Mr. Org shakes my hand with a glint in his eye.
I knew you wanted to get revenge with the same equipment.

If that's the case, I'll buy you dinner! I'm still a highly paid knight in shining armor!

That was the moment when Aug said that.

''It's Aug's treat!''

The people in the bar all stood up in unison and raised their hooting and hollering.

'Bah, it wasn't you!'

"Hey Satie, give me a tackle-buff steak!

I'm Spearhead Teriyaki!

I'll have a bottle of Neftika wine, please.

Everyone raises their hands in unison to order from the waiters.

'Idiots! Don't ask for an expensive menu just for the sake of it!

Ha-ha, sorry to buy you a drink, Aug.

I'm going to be a Goat, Mr. Aug!

'The knight ogre! Fatty.

No! Rise and shine of the Adventurer's Guild!

f*ck you! I won't buy you a drink this time!

Oh, come to think of it, when Aug-san bought me dinner before, I was supposed to buy everyone a drink like this.

''Um, would I be better off paying for it myself?''

Seeing such a scene, Liliera-san comes over to ask me with a troubled look on her face, wondering what to do.

''No, I think it's safe to ask you to buy me a drink if this is the way it goes.

Oh, really?

And then Fluffy Mofo climbs onto the table.

'Cuuuuut!'

Further calling the waiter, he points to a meat dish that a customer at the next table was eating and dexterously orders a dish.

'Cukkiu,'

And after finishing his order, Fluffy Fluffy trotted over to Mr. Aug's front door and put his paws up and let out a squeal as if he was saying thank you.

''........Eh? Do I have to buy this guy a drink too?

Aug's bewildered muttering disappeared into everyone's joyful laughter.
So, I think I'll order some food too.
