11-10. I couldn't control

A meteorite?

 The hall of audience.
As I'm listening to the vassals' reports at random, a word that rarely comes up in my normal day-to-day life catches my attention and I'm curious to hear it back.

It's unusual for me to interrupt, and Mimis, who was reporting, also has a surprised look on her face as she answers my question.

'Ha. A meteorite fell on a road outside Pindos. The street is damaged and the meteorite is blocking it again, so it has to be removed and restored.
It's just a meteorite?
It was just a meteorite. There was no magic or anything man-made.
Hmm, a meteorite...

 Me thinking.

Mimis scowled at me for only listening and not giving any instructions, but I still resumed my report on political affairs.

     ☆

Later in the afternoon, I left Pindos.

A meteorite blocking the city streets, that's what bothered me.

Needless to say, the roads are the well maintained highways that connect the cities.
 That's where the meteorite fell.
If you are human, you can take a detour, but a horse and carriage that can't do that will be stranded.

Logistics would stop and people in the city would be stranded.
We decided to go and see how it worked out.

We won't do it on our own.

As I walked down the street, I was adamant that at the very least - I was determined.

I've always been like that lately, doing something that often backfires on me.
That's why I'll go see them, and as the head of the family, I'll give them instructions if necessary, but I won't do it on my own.

I will only do what is natural for me to do as the head of the family.
This is another recent trend, but if you try to hide it, it backfires.

"We won't move a meteorite by ourselves, we'll just do what is natural for a master of the house.

Muttering this to myself, I continued on the street.

On the way, I saw a teahouse where a lot of travelers were getting stranded.
They are mostly old men and women and children.

The men who look strong are overflowing and resting at some distance from the teahouse.

It might be a pretty big meteorite to be stranded like this.

I wondered how big it was, and as I proceeded further--

Huh?

When I arrived at the scene, I was amazed at the scene in front of me.

There was a meteorite, and it was quite large.

 It was past tense.
A meteorite as big as a single house completely blocking off a street had been reduced to a crumbling mess.
The pieces of the meteorite are being removed by workers hired by the Cano family.

It will be some time before they can remove it completely, but they have already created enough space for a wagon to pass through.

When I started to get curious, I shrugged my shoulders.
 But why is it shattered?

I was curious about that too, so I looked closer.
 Then.

That's a great sword muscle........

I couldn't help but marvel at the words that came out of my mouth.

A closer look makes it clearer.
The meteorite - that is, the large rock - was not shattered by a blow, but was broken apart by countless slashes.

'You can see it clearly,'

One of the workers who picked up on my mumble said with an impressed look on his face.
 Geez, it's a snake.

''It was done by Master Swordsman Perseus. Lucky for us, he happened to be in the vicinity of Pindos. Otherwise, I don't know how many days it would have taken me to dispose of it.

The worker said in a tone of bragging about what he saw.

Apparently he doesn't know me (the head of the family), but if I get involved any more, I'm going to get ripped off somewhere.

I wordlessly turned myself around and went back the way I came.

'What the hell, I'm just trying to be nice and teach you.

The worker grumbled and went back to work removing the rocks.

As he turned back, he glanced back over his shoulder.
If it looks like that, it will open gradually, and things will be back to normal tomorrow.

 Then good.
You don't even have to do what is normal for the head of the family.

If you do something, there's that much more chance of it backfiring on you.
If you don't have to do it, it's better.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Â

I started humming to myself, feeling better.
I passed a traveler on the road who was resting on the side of the road, and he looked at me and said.

"Huh? Could it be that the road is now open?

He asked me if I wanted to go through, and I replied, "Yeah, I can go through now.

I was in a good mood, and the teahouse I had just passed came into view.
The teahouse we had just passed came into view, still full of travelers.

'Hey! Stop that!'
Heh heh heh, just a little bit, just a little bit, is all I need.

A slobbery old man with a cane s*xually harasses a young female clerk in a teahouse.
He's stroking her buttocks with his trembling hands, and the woman doesn't like it.
All the people around her are looking at her with a very troubled face, but no one appears who tries to stop her.

".........

The good mood I was in earlier was blown away.
I approached the scene of the harassment.

"Oh, come on, man.
Hmm? What a man. I have no use for men.
"Grandpa, if you want to s*xually harass your wife, go home and do it.
"Heh heh heh, you're a cheapskate, will you give birth to my son's younger siblings?
Stop it.

I reached out my hand to stop the old man from hitting on me in a way that I didn't know if it was blatant or circuitous.

A chill ran down my spine. An explosive killing spirit pierced my skin.

''--!

The next moment, the scene around me was a scene.

The old man was spinning three times in the air, face first into the ground and blowing bubbles.

'Shit! It was too strong and I couldn't take it easy! Hey, are you okay, old man?

I crouch down and shake my grandfather's shoulder.
Grandpa eats my counter, a counter that I instinctively put out in response to the killing spirit, and it's stretched perfectly.

It seems to be life-threatening, but........

"Hey........what was that all about?
The next thing I know, the old man's face is in the ground.

 People started buzzing around me.
 .........Ha, this is not good!

The next minute I thought it was bad, it was even worse.

'Who is that guy? With a single blow to Master Swordsman Perseus.
Swordsman!

I'm surprised, and I stare at the old man, who is stretched out.

And now I realize that I'm not the only one.
I didn't notice that part because the murderous atmosphere was so strong, but I could see the blade of my grandfather's staff, which was pulled out a little bit.
 It was a preparation staff.

''Swordsman?''
Who's the Swordsman?
Yeah, um,

 A murmur spreads.
At the same time, I'm getting all kinds of looks.

 Surprise and ... respect.
And that respect is spreading like ripples on the water.

You did it again........did you do it again?
