22-22 "S-level risk taker"

Once inside, the place felt a little dusty, perhaps from being away for a long period of time. Wraith cleared his throat and proceeded to the back of the room.
Most of the items lined up on the shelves are potions, with only the bare minimum of necessities such as household items. There are various potions that Wraith had previously made on a trial basis and even finished products.

However, what the Wraiths are looking for is materials.
The materials cannot be kept on the shelves, so they are stored in the workshop in the basement.

By the way, the basement and the workshop were created by the magic of Wraith's master. The workmanship of the workshop is so perfect that it is perfect for studying alchemy. Wraith respects his master only in regards to his alchemy and magic skills.

We descend the stairs to the basement for the first time in a long time and enter the room where the materials are stored. The room is even temperature controlled by magic, so the air inside the room was different from the outside, and it felt different on the skin.
The Wraith starts to collect the materials, even though he feels such a familiar sensation.

As a Wraith, I really want to take it all home, but I unfortunately don't have a handy bag that can hold an infinite number of things with no regard to mass.

''d*mn those numerous materials that I risked my life to take, please forgive me for my disappointment. I will definitely come for you one day.

With tears streaming down my face, I select the materials I need and pack them into my bag.
Although it's been a long time since I visited, I haven't forgotten about the placement of the materials, and the process doesn't slacken. As for my feelings, though, I'm feeling a lot of hesitation.

Wraith finished collecting the materials quickly while hurting Glass's heart. Of course, some of the materials inside are used to save Sylvia.
As it was, he was about to hurry back to Raffy's place, when he caught something in the corner of his vision.

''Sword........''

There is one sword propped up against the wall.
It wasn't made by Wraith himself, but was given to him by his master.

'I thought I was going to die, don't play around with me, d*mn it Master! What kind of a place you send your precious disciple to!

That was the day when Wraith first met the undead.
The Wraith had gone to a certain place to get the materials alone. However, it wasn't that Wraith wanted to go there, but he was forced by his master to go on an errand.

''Ah, Rei-kun, you've come back! Make sure you keep the materials properly.''
''For God's sake, can we please catch up on the conversation? I mean, isn't your reaction too thin when your apprentice came back in tatters? Crazy, right? I didn't go to the market there, I mean, I didn't hear that there's going to be undead?''
"I'm not telling you!
''You're the only one who can say that as a matter of course...!

Wraith turned a resentful gaze at his master during the creation of the potion, but the person in question had a cool expression on his face. It was more of a smug look.

-- If this is the case, I will die one day. I'll die for sure.

The Wraith crumbles to the ground with cloudy eyes.

I'm just kidding. I didn't know that demons come out. But if you're undead, it's easy to defeat them if you keep hitting them with holy water.
''I can't use magic like my master, and I'll be ground up while I'm throwing.
"Hmm, then I'll give you this one, Ray.

With that said, the one held out to me proudly was a sword in its scabbard. There was nothing particularly unusual about it, and if I had to say, the scabbard would be somewhat ornate. Unable to grasp his intentions, Wraith looked at his master's face.

''What is this?''
"Hmm? The sword! The sword! The one I made a long time ago that works on the undead. I made it, but I didn't use it, so it's been in storage for a while.
"No, I don't use a sword, but...
"Well, when the chips are down, shake this out!
"I don't want to be in that situation in the first place.

It was not a rogue memory, with nothing but a bitter smile.
However, it was certainly useful in the current situation.

''That d*mn master is useful sometimes...!

It's an exciting experience. I never thought the day would come when what was given to me by my master would be useful.
Wraith grabbed the sword that was propped up and rushed out of the basement.

''Wraith, get out of there quickly!

''Eh?''

Wraith stiffened for a moment at Raffy's shout, which was emitted just after he had climbed the stairs to the ground. After that, she ran without understanding anything and escaped from the house with a force that pushed her through the door.

''What the hell--''

--Wraith's words were interrupted by a large sword that passed right by him at high speed.

A few seconds after a roaring sound rang out from behind him, Wraith looked back with a bad feeling and saw a house that had collapsed with a flourish. There was a familiar large sword sticking out of the center of the collapse.

Wraith couldn't help but look at Raffy and saw her apologetic expression.

To sort out the current situation.

The recovery of the materials has been successfully completed. However, the house collapsed due to the throwing of the great sword. Needless to say, the culprit is a skeleton. Since the house collapsed, it's extremely difficult to recover the remaining materials in the basement.......

Skelton, you're the only one I'll ever forgive...!

Wraith glared at the skeleton with a snap, looking like he was angry. Then, before Skeleton could move, he ran over to Raffy and handed him the sword he was holding.

'If I cut it with this, maybe I can defeat that guy. ........maybe.
That's pretty vague...
Well, it wasn't me who made it, it was the master.

Come to think of it, I've never used this sword before, Wraith realizes now.

It might have been somewhat premature to trust his master without checking its performance. If this doesn't have any effect, I'll harass him grandly the next time I meet that d*mn master. Yeah, I'll do that.

After finishing the mysterious decision in his mind, Wraith leaves to stay out of the battle. The only thing left to do is to support Raffy at best.

Raffy, the one who is expected by the Wraith, pulls the sword she received from its sheath and holds it guardedly.

''It's.......light.''

But he felt uncomfortable because he couldn't feel the weight of the sword than the one he usually used.
The sword's blade is a 'black' that seems to swallow the light of day. It wasn't made from common ores, but was created through a combination of special ores and magic.

The sword incorporates another weakness of the undead, sacred magic, making it a very effective weapon against the undead.

However, Lurimes, the Wraith's master, was able to use sacred magic himself, so the sword was useless. In the first place, this sword was originally created in the process of experimenting with putting magic into an object, so I had no intention of using it from the beginning.

It's a good thing that Rulimes' experiment has come full circle and is now useful to the Wraiths.
It's a good thing for the wraiths who have been bothered by a lot of trouble in their lives, but this time it can be at least an annoyance to them.

Raffy, who doesn't know anything about the Wraith's inner thoughts, boldly attacked the unarmed skeleton.

''Hah!''

The blow that was released with the voice was received by the skeleton's arm - and he cut off his arm as it was.
Up to this point, it's a scene that has been repeated many times since earlier. The troublesome thing is the regeneration ability that can be restored even if you cut it off.

 But now.

The arm that had been regenerating in seconds until now was not going to be back to normal anytime soon. Even the skeleton itself, who had sensed the change, looked at his arm in surprise.

Then, perhaps understanding that the sword Raffy was holding was something that could inflict a fatal wound on him, he showed a strong pretense of caution.

''Well, if the sword works, it's ours.

A smile that wasn't quite as bad, but was intimidating in its own way, floated on Raffy's mouth.

As if pressured by that smile that even feels masculine, Skelton gradually sank into the shadow as if frightened.

The skeleton, which became completely in a state of shadow, began to move in the exact opposite direction from Raffy without hesitation.

 In other words........it escaped.

''........Mm?''

Completely unexpected behavior, even Raffy was taken aback by this completely unexpected behavior. The fact that a demon escapes is itself extremely rare.

While Raffy stood still for a second or so, the skeletons were getting further and further away.

However, as an S-class adventurer, there was no way Raffy would miss the enemy so easily.

''Sorry, but I won't let you get away.

Raffy grabbed the hilt of her sword and threw it as hard as she could toward the shadows. The sword, which was advancing through the wind, struck the shadow without aiming.

In addition, when the ground is smashed as well, a skeleton crawls out of the shadow without being able to resist.

One leg seemed to have been blown off by the current impact and was missing. It was no longer able to even move with its bone body.

So, there is no other way but to move in the shadows.

"Well, you've made a lot of trouble for me.

In front of Skelton's eyes, Raffy was standing in front of him with his sword before he knew it.

--the chances of being saved from here were now hopeless.
