29-29 "Daisy"

Daisy Salier. Seventeen years old, female.
She is a very ordinary girl, born of a commoner's background with no particular characteristics, and no outstanding talents.

If I had to choose, I'd say she's a bit too young for her age - or rather too young for her appearance.

Because of this appearance, she is often treated as a child, which is extremely unpleasant for Daisy. For that reason, she still does not doubt that her body will grow up in the future.

Incidentally, her height has not changed at all since she was 14 years old. His body, which is less uneven, has also remained unchanged.

''Huh........''

Daisy's mornings are always early. She wakes up early in the morning, prepares and eats her own breakfast, and begins to prepare for the opening of her shop.

Daisy runs the shop as an alchemist. Her reputation is quite good and her customer base is not so bad. At least, she makes enough money to make a living.

Daisy has been leading such a life, but unusually, she woke up an hour later than usual today.

 She knew why.

'That homos*xual........'

It was because of an acquaintance I hadn't seen in a long time yesterday. A girl by the name of Nicola.

She had always been a true homos*xual (lesbian) and had been following Daisy around at every turn.

She once formed a party when she was working as an adventurer, but it was inevitable that the party broke up after a few weeks.

Daisy's assessment of Nicola was that she was a beautiful girl if she kept quiet.

Maybe it was because she hadn't seen her in a while, but she was more tired than she thought.
Remembering Nicola's face from her dreams, Daisy sighed one morning.

It's not that she dislikes Nicola with all her heart. It's just that he's at the top of the list in the category of people he's not good at.

It's not that I don't like it, but I do respect her skills, because she's certainly skilled.

Hmmm.

I stretch wide to clear my gloomy mood and get out of bed.
Today is a business day and I can't rest that long.

Daisy begins to prepare breakfast, as usual. Today it's bread. She is petite and her stomach is small, and she doesn't eat anything heavy for her stomach in the morning.

She tosses a piece of bread into her little mouth and squeezes it around. The way she takes her breakfast in her nightgown is just like a child, partly because she wakes up in her sleep.

If anyone around Lace were to see this scene, they would probably say a gibberish or two. He's a man who can easily step through an apparent land mine. It's a talent of sorts.

It's good to see that he's showing signs of improvement lately.

'Well, I think it's time to get ready.

After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I start getting ready to open the store. I always wake up with as much time to spare as possible, so an hour late waking up has little impact on my business.

I visit one of the material vaults and pick up some medicinal herbs. It's for making a detoxification potion that is running low in stock.

''..........''

Early in the morning, in a room with little noise, Daisy silently made a detoxification potion. The results of the Wraith's teachings could certainly be seen in her gait.

She continued to work on it every day without neglect, and it was steadily bearing fruit. He can feel that, and recently, he often smiles when he sees the finished potion.

It's definitely an improvement from the first time I met Wraith.

''It's something like this,''

 Dozens of minutes to concentrate.

I leave the room with a few completed detoxification potions. The next place I turn my feet is the room where I keep the potions I've already completed.

As I enter the room, I place the detoxification potions I had in a large box right next to it. Continuing on, I deftly collect the potions in the room and put them in the box as well.

''Nonsense........''

Daisy lifted the rather heavy box and headed for the entrance of the store. Her faltering gait is one that might cause concern if someone were next to her.

With such an unsteady gait, Daisy replenishes the potions in the store. At the same time, she rearranged the potions on the shelves neatly.

Tidiness is also essential to running a store.

Then, after finishing checking for any deficiencies, it was time for the morning study.

What I use is the material on alchemy that Wraith gave me. This is something I do every day without fail and it has become a habit.

The materials are full of knowledge that Daisy doesn't know, and it's hard to remember.

There were many times when she found out how to process her favorite medicinal herbs in the most efficient way, and there were many times when what she had thought was common knowledge was completely overturned.

Every time you gain new knowledge, you can't help but be aware of the difference between you and the boy who is like a friend and mentor.

''Huh........''

 Naturally, a sigh escaped me.
When people of the same age are better than me, I feel not a little jealous.

However, worrying about such things doesn't change the current situation, which is why I'm working hard to acquire knowledge like this.

Really, I don't know how I was brought up to be like that.

Wraith has a brainy personality, but his skills are solid.
He's not a busy man, as before he knows it, he's made the acquaintance of an S-class adventurer, or met a demon and nearly died.

Despite her interest, Daisy still doesn't know much about his origins.

He says that he grew up on a tour of the material of hell, though, according to him.

He hasn't gone into too much depth, and his eyes are dead when he touches on the subject, which is always the case, so Daisy deliberately avoids the question.

He has apparently been looking at starting his own shop lately, too, and unusually, Daisy has created a picture of Daisy teaching something to Lace.

When it came to running the store, Daisy had the better part of a day. It was her own secret that she felt a little bit superior.

'--Hmm, it's time.'

She looks at the materials and before she knows it, it's a few minutes before the store opens.

Daisy put away the materials and unlocked the door to the store. Then she flipped over the sign that said 'Preparing' and changed it to the words 'Open for Business'.

Okay.

I nodded one nod and sat down at the counter.
In a week's time, she would be going to help Wraith build his workshop, so she would have to work hard until then.

Motivated, Daisy began her day's work.
