72-72 『Preparation』

Well, I guess we've secured the materials for now. So I guess we'll have to start with the interior and exterior.

Wraith returned from Seth's house and took a breath.

The guild's screening process is over and they're ready to open up shop any time now. There's no particular deadline, so there's no need to rush, but it's better to be prepared.

There is a lot of work to be done. There is a lot of work to be done, and we must use our time effectively.

We've got to prepare signs and decorations for the exterior, for now. .........Oh, then we'll have to decide on a name for the restaurant as well, won't we?

Of course, you have to put the name of the restaurant on the sign. I had been thinking of opening a restaurant, but I hadn't thought about the name of the restaurant.

I thought for a while that I had been disappointed.
Since it's a special occasion, I don't want to give it a tacky name.

Hmmm........do I really have the naming sense?

The name is the face of the store, and it bothers you. I sit on my hammock and think about it.

'Tei.'

A light shock to the head of Wraith, who was meditating and deep in serious thought. When Wraith involuntarily opened his eyes, he saw Lurimes' hand on his head.

''.........What are you doing, Master?''

Rulimes blinks curiously and sits down next to Wraith.

'That's a line over here, Mr. Ray. Why are you meditating dressed like that?'
No, I wasn't really meditating, you know...
So what have you been up to?
I was thinking of a name for the store.
Oh, if we're going to open a store, we'll certainly need it.

Rulimes crossed his arms and nodded yes.

'Alright then, let's figure it out together.
Don't even think about it...
Come on, Master. Leave it to him.
Okay.

It's a raw response, even if unintentional, as I'm not sure if I can rely on it. In response to his apprentice's appropriate response, Lurimes is enthusiastic, "I'll come up with a good name and make him roar.

''Hmm, how about something simple like 'Alchemist' here...'''
It's kind of the wrong name for a restaurant, even though I'm an alchemist, that's for sure.
'So, 'Potion Shop Wraith for You' or something.
Absolutely not.

Lurimes named one shop after another, and then the Wraith denied it. It's because of the many joke names to begin with. Rulimes's lips twitched as if he was unfaithful.

''So, Ray-kun, have you come up with any good names?
Ummm....

That being said, I can't talk back to Wraith, who doesn't have much of an idea. In the end, the master and brother are all pondering over it.

 Result--.

I'll talk to Raffy and the others next time.

It's an easy way to think that if you're in trouble, you can rely on Raffy and Sylvia for now. At least he has more sense than Wraith and Lurimes, so it's the right choice.

''Let's leave the signs and stuff for later and work on something else. Master, help me out.
Yeah I don't want to move in the heat, but....
Work a little harder. I'll get you out of here.
Yes, I'll do my best.

Lurimes jumped up and saluted at Wraith's threat. It's a terrible change, but that's the power of a landlord.

''What do you want me to do when you say you want me to help you?
In the meantime, just sort through that material Seth gave you. Make sure it's well sorted.
'Ugh, you're obviously pushing me to do a tedious job!
What did you say?
'It's nothing. I'd be happy to do it.

Rulimes is defeated by Wraith's pressure without saying a word and readily agrees to it. He took the bag handed to him by the Wraith and walked out of the room like a de-rabbit. Wraith nodded at such a master and saw him off, and moved to a place that would be the entrance to the store himself.

''As far as the interior is concerned, I'll take care of the placement of the merchandise and all that, and the rest is minimal.''

I look around the room where the accessory displays and bracket lights are installed and talk to myself.
That's because the interior was altered in many ways in consideration of opening a shop when building the workshop.

''Let's see, this one's an elixir, this one's a poison remover and this one's a 'magic enhancement' ring...'''

A piece of paper with words written on it is placed in each of the wooden display shelves. He decides which products to place in each location. For now, he starts with what he has on hand.

Good.

We're not quite finished yet, but we've done what we can in the meantime.

The problem is...

Lace opened the door and walked out. Then he looked at the exterior of his shop.

''Well hmmm, it's totally just a house.

It's obvious, but it doesn't look like a store at all. The sign to put the restaurant's name on it can wait, but the rest of the shop would have to be tweaked or it wouldn't be worth talking about.

'Well,'

 Nevertheless.
It's not that Wraith doesn't have anything prepared. I've even grown some ordinary flowers in addition to medicinal herbs for potions to help with this kind of thing. It would help to spruce up the appearance a bit.

We have a sign with the store's products (planned) and other signs on it, and we should be able to get it in order.

Wraith immediately takes the flowers outside. Lurimes seems to still be organizing the materials, so it's a one-man job. However, it wasn't such a labor-intensive amount of work, as it was not possible to arrange a large number of flowers on the front.

'Yay!'

I put the flowerpot in front of the store and take a breath.

'Yes,'

Wraith approached the flowerpot and touched the vine.

"'Transformed'

As he used alchemy, the shape of the vine kept changing.
Eventually, the vine dexterously changed into the shape of a bottle. It's art with plants. As a design, it can be said to be rather excellent.

'Am I a genius...?

He is a man with a high level of self-assurance, a wraith.

Nevertheless, it's certainly a far more stylish space than it was earlier. This would catch people's attention a bit. It's a good idea to switch from alchemist to gardener, and so on.

''Ah, Wraith-san!

A familiar voice calls out to me. Reflexively, I turned around and saw Sylvia smiling and waving her hand. Behind her was Raffy, who also had a smile on her face.

''What are you doing?''
Ooh, I was just doing the exterior. If I'm going to have a shop, it's not going to look like this.
I see... and it's cute, isn't it?

Sylvia points to a jar made of vines that has just been made.

'Right? I'm proud of it.
Did Wraith make this?
It's alchemy, though. If you want, I can make one up now.
Oh, well, let me see.

Wraith did as he was told and made the shape of a bottle in front of him.

''Ooh, it's plain, but it's amazing,''
You're so specific.

Wraith couldn't help but chuckle. Don't tell her that I thought I was a genius just now.

''You don't have anything else to adorn it with?''
No, there's a lot more.

Wraith said and walked in and came back with a lantern in her hand. But it's not just a lantern.
Inside it is not lit, but contains a liquid and a plant that emits an orange light.

'This is the light from the combination of linseed and sorrel grass that I gave to you two some time ago. I thought it would be a good substitute for decoration.

Saying this, Lace installed a lantern on the wall.

The problem is that we don't have a name for the store.
'Surely, if we're going to open a store, we'll need a name...'
I've been thinking about it with my mentor, but I can't come up with anything good. It's been on the back burner.
I see.
So I was wondering if you two could give me some advice...

Wraith clasps his hands together and chuckles.

'Well, that's about as good as it gets...'
'Great, we'll figure it out together!

They didn't have any particular business to attend to, but they readily agreed.

'Thanks. Since we're standing around, let's talk inside.
