31 Chapter 2 Chapter 5

Day 83 of the Otherworld Summoning [Compulsory Request] Part 1:

After leaving the town of Mireish, the three of them had come to the port town of Fulzard in the Eastern Region.

Knowing from the books borrowed from Anamaria that the chances of being able to return to the original world [Earth] were close to zero, Ryoma stopped pursuing the means of return and began to think about living in this world.
The devotion of Saara and her sisters had a great influence on his change of heart.
However, living in this world does not mean that there is some purpose to it.
It would still be easier if that is exactly what they were summoned to do as heroes.
So Ryoma decided to take the guild's request 《quest》 and travel while earning money.
It's a journey to find the meaning of life in this world.

''What do you plan to do now?''
The three of them were talking in front of the guild in the town of Fulzard.
The three of them had come south from the town of Mireish, cutting through the forest instead of taking the city road.
Because of this, a considerable amount of material has accumulated.
I've carefully selected and acquired only bulky and expensive items, but the amount is lightly over 40 kilograms.
It's a pretty tough amount to carry while fighting.
It's been 20 days since we left Mireish.
The swords used by the three of them were already just iron rods, so they decided to renew their equipment and dispose of their supplies once in the town of Fulzard.

''Sister, go to the guild like this. Report on the completion of the request and do some preliminary research on what request you would like to receive next. We are going to go to the magic item shop to buy more supplies and dispose of the materials we have accumulated.
The amount of redeemable materials for the monsters 《monsters》 that we defeated after leaving Mireish was quite large.
It would be impossible for Laura alone, and even with two sisters, it would be tough.
There was no other way but for Ryoma to carry it.
(Well. That's reasonable.)
I suppose. Laura... Just make sure you have a request and come to the magic item shop in front of it. I'm sure you'll be able to find out if there are any quests you'll be asked to do after lunch and get some new equipment.

The three of them were registering their party when they left Mireish town.
I'm sure you'll be able to find the best way to get the most out of this.

I'm sure you'll be able to find it. I'll see you later.
I'm sure you'll be able to find a good deal more to say about it.
I'm sure you'll be able to find a great deal more to say. I'm going to go and exchange the money quickly.
I'm sure you'll be able to find a great deal more to say.

''Yes. Triple G rank. You are Laura Malfist-sama, right? I have indeed confirmed the completion of the request 《quest》. Thank you for your hard work.
The receptionist said as she held out a registration card and a bag of rewards to Laura.
The number of monsters that I have defeated over the past 20 days is quite large.
But since all the monsters I defeated were of a lower rank than I was, the achievement value of the "Clear Points" did not change.
(Shouldn't I be F-ranked by now?)
Laura doesn't think so, but apparently Ryoma isn't too interested in moving up in rank.
In terms of competence, Laura thinks that Ryoma is well worthy of a D or even a C.
When Laura was about to leave the receptionist's desk with that thought in mind, a man called out to her.
''Ho. It looks like you've defeated quite a few of them.
The man, who was struggling with a stack of papers at the desk behind the receptionist, got up from his seat and walked towards Laura.
He must be in his mid-thirties or so in his age.
He was a classy-looking man with his blond hair carefully brushed back.
He must have a good position in the guild, seeing that he is wearing well-tailored clothes.
You must be Laura Malfist, right? You have to be sure that the two "party members" are Mikoshiba Ryoma-san and Saara Malfist-san, right?
The man speaks to Laura in a calm tone.
'Yes, but... what about you?'
I'm sorry I'm late. My name is Walls Heinekel. I am the guildmaster of this town.

Meeting this man was the beginning of a new path for Ryojin.

"Compulsory request?
Ryoma asked Laura as he took a bite of the meat thrust into his fork.

The time is a little past 13:00 pm.
It may be because the time is a little past lunchtime, but even in the cafeteria that Ryoma and the others entered, there were noticeably empty seats.
We dismantled the "monsters" and the materials we procured from the monsters and took them wholesale to the "Magic Item Shop" and met up with Saara in front of the shop.
And in order to listen to a serious looking Saara, I entered the dining room diagonally across from the magic item shop.

''Yes. Apparently, that's what it seems to be about.
Laura nodded at Ryoma's words.
''Compulsory requests... It was a system where guild masters and some senior management appointed certain mercenaries and adventurers to force them to accept a request 《quest》. But?
Liang Zhen shook his head as he continued.
''That should only be for high-ranking mercenaries and adventurers. At least, that's how it was in the handbook you gave me.
'But isn't that odd? We're triple G-rated and you're nominating us? I mean, Triple G is a lower rank, right?
Hearing Ryouma's words, Saara twisted her head.
''I'll explain the situation as well, so he asked me to go out to the guild around 2pm.''
Laura herself doesn't seem to be too keen on the idea.
At any rate, it looks like she just said it because she was asked to give a message.
And the same is true for Saara.
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to say that this is a compulsory request, but it's an urgent request with no one to receive it.
If it's not an emergency, there's nothing wrong with leaving it alone until someone appears to undertake it.
And it is so troublesome and risky that no one wants to accept it.
First of all, it's not going to be a good thing.
After thinking that far, Ryoma asked Laura.
'It would be better to ignore that, wouldn't it?
"If I could, I would, but... it was hinted that my guild registration would be cancelled...
So you threatened me.
''I wasn't that blunt, but the point I was trying to make was the same.''
Hearing Laura's words, Ryoma looked up in the air.
The arithmetic of interests is played out in his head.
(I don't like what you've threatened me with. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get that much authority, even if I'm a guildmaster? (You certainly have the right to do so, but you shouldn't be able to unilaterally erase it.)
Emotionally, I'd say it's the worst.
It could be said that people who impose things on him from above are the type of people Ryoma hates the most.
But on the other hand, there is another answer in terms of interests.
But there is a possibility of an eventuality. He's the only person in this world without a status guarantee that I can currently have. The only thing that remains untouched is the money I took from Azos, and I've accumulated a lot of money from the hunt. You can buy your status with money... No, there's no way you can buy your status with money when you don't have any powerful acquaintances. The status of an adventurer is still of value, even if you will eventually leave the guild. (You should remain in the guild even if it's a little unreasonable...?)
At the end of the day, it's a matter of taking the real benefits or your own heart.
Laura and the other sisters would abide by Ryojin's decision.

After much thought, Ryoma finally said.
''Let's just go... if it's not too worth it after listening to what we have to say, we'll think about it again.''
The sisters nodded at Ryoma's words.
