70 Episode 70: Seven-day War VII

For me, the only way to win is for me to become king and get Yulia.
 This is not difficult.
I've got a lot of work to do, but if I forcefully marry Yulia, I'll be king.

The problem is what happens after that.
How many wealthy families will follow the new king, an outsider whose abilities are unknown to them?
And will Rigal Dibel be able to forgive him without a word?

 No.

It will be a civil war.
This civil war must be won if we are to find peace after victory.
The only way to win the civil war is to bring all the great families to their knees to me.

I don't need to destroy Rigal, I just need him to bow down to me. Well, that's not going to happen.

 Now for the civil war....
 It's not hard to win.

King Rosais' direct control and the royal family's army, plus the As family's army.
This is enough to defeat the Dibel faction if you combine the military strength of the powerful As clan.

But the question is, how long will we have to fight them? That's what it boils down to.

The enemy is not visibly declaring itself the enemy.
It's possible that some of the Athletes may not be happy with me sitting on the throne and will switch sides.

There are also the neutrals who continue to muddle their answers as to which side they will stand for.
I don't know which side they will take and when they will betray me.

The time limit for the intervention of another country is about a week.
Will it really be over in a week?

If other nations intervene, it is a quagmire.
King Belvedil's country, King Domorgal's country, King Evil's country, the Equus tribe....

They will not shy away. In the name of commandeering, they will take all the food from King Rosyth's country, and in a hurry, they will kidnap the inhabitants and sell them into slavery.
In fact, they would rather leave the war behind and work diligently at that.

In the first place, it is their own country that will be the battlefield in a civil war.
You burn down your country's farmland and have your country's soldiers kill your country's soldiers.

 That is a civil war.

When it is over, how much is left in our hands?

It's not winning that I need. Victory is a prerequisite.
And on top of that, how much damage can we do without causing any damage, and preferably without even starting a war, without causing any deaths? That's what it boils down to.

For that, all we need is the achievement of being a king. A preemptive strike against the Dibelites. And a cause that doesn't require a preemptive strike. And to prepare an army with as little room for preparation as possible for the Dibelites.

Then the difficulty increases at once.

What I wanted in this battle for King Domorgal this time is an achievement just to become a king.

But.........is this what peony cakes are all about? No, I forced them to drop it.

I didn't think I'd succeed in getting everything together.

 Day Five.

Rosais' army pulled out of the Braus territory early, leaving a thousand men behind.

And soon they arrived in the As territory.
Rosais' army was greeted by the applause and cheers of the Ath territory's lords and ladies.

''Well then, Ron. I'll give you five hundred. Wait in the As territory.''
 Yes, sir.

I will give Ron five hundred and draw him away from Rosais' army once.

 Then I say to Muzio.
'Hey, are you guys ready to go home?'
Hmm? The deal is done, you know. Should I not leave?
No, you can go home but you'll see a lot more interesting things if you don't.

 I grin.
Muzio nods, a strange look on his face.
'All right. I'll stay for a while. Well, there's an award for meritorious service, too. You need to see your best friend's performance in action before you can leave.

 Day 6

Finally, Rosais' army reached the palace of King Rosais.
The inhabitants greeted Rosais' army with cheers.

 'That's Lord Almus,'
 Wow, that's great!

Saying that, it was the former Dibelites who rushed to Almus, the great families who did not participate in the war.
They heard about the victory of Rosais' army this time and changed sides.

While dealing politely with them, Almus has an audience with King Losais.
Around him are the great families who fought in this war and their families, as well as former Dibelites and Dibelites who have come to see how things are going.
The inhabitants of the palace area surround them.

The residents of the palace area surround it. You have done well in this war. What reward do you want?
 Then.....

With all the great families looking on, Almus said firmly.

'Princess Julia, the throne, and this country.

 The great families are quiet.
King Rosais hands his crown, his staff and his cloak to Julia, who is right next to him, and then he pushes her back and says

Then he pushes Julia back and says, "Here, take all you want.

 Here, take all you want.
Almus immediately ran up to Julia and kissed her lips without a second glance.

''Now you're mine. I won't let you get away with it, will I?
 "...Yes. I understand.

 Julia smiles happily.

Then she holds the crown and staff.
 Julia puts the cloak on.

Then she stands in front of the great family.
A cheer goes up as Almus raises his staff.

''Long live the new king! Long live the new king!

The great families who knew of Almus' succession to the throne cheered loudly.
 Cherry blossoms.

With that, the As and soldiers who hadn't known about the accession cheered.
The neutrals have a puzzled look on their faces, and the former Dibelites are relieved that they made the right choice.

And the Dibelite greats have a look of indignation on their faces.

Almus pokes the ground hard with his staff.
 Instantly, things go quiet.

'Gentlemen, the war is not over yet. The war is not over yet. The war is not over yet, because Domorgal's army has not been completely eradicated from the country. 'Lord Carlo!'
 "Yes, yes, King Loseys.

Carlo stepped forward cumbersomely and raised the names one by one.
That's the names of the Digel faction's great families, led by Rigal Digel.

The names of the ex-Dibelites who were turned immediately after the Battle of Domorgal are not called out.

Most of them aren't here, but some of the names that are called look anxious to see what's going to happen.

Tetra steps forward and says. A blank look.
'These are the men who have been in cahoots with King Domorgal and have been trying to sell out this country. In other words, they are traitors. What shall we do now, King Rosais?

To which Almus laughs and replies.
'Traitors are executed. I suppose it's only natural.'

Just now, a few of those who have become former Dibelites come to cling to Almus.
When they found out that they were about to be executed, they hurriedly switched sides.

'Gentlemen, you are mistaken. We support the new king's accession to the throne. Long live the new king! New King
 The head bounced off.

It was Bartolo who bounced off.

"No room on this ship for you, I'm afraid.
The heads of the great families rolled with a rumble.

At the sight of it, the Dibelites - the rebels - ran away at once.
But they are prevented from doing so by the Kingsguard, who are disguised as residents.

They execute the rebels one by one.

They executed the rebels one by one.

Now, is there anyone in this group who will have a problem with my accession?
 No one answers.

"Do you see any traitors in here?
 No one answers.

"Does anyone else think we should help the traitors?
 No one answers.

'Then is there anyone who is opposed to going to execute the traitors from now on?
 No one answered.

 Almus nodded with satisfaction.

 'Bartolo! Raimondo!
 He calls them together.
The two subjects kneel to Almus.

 'What is it, my king?'

Almus says, looking down at them.

'There are a total of about six thousand men in this place. Bartolo, Raimondo. A thousand for each of you. Go kill the traitors. I will kill Rigal Dibel with the other four thousand.
 Ha!

 The two men bow deeply.
 Then Bartolo asks Almus.

'By the way, my king. 'By the way, my king, do you wish to execute the traitors to the nine families?
 Yeah, no problem.
Even if it's a young child or a woman?
'If that's the way it's applied to the nine families.

Bartolo nodded, satisfied with that statement.

Almus then ran over to Muzio.
Muzio seemed to be surprised by the quicksilver and had a stunned expression on his face.

'My friend. As I recall, the alliance will be inherited by the next king, right? So, can't you be hired by my country again?
 Muzio laughs and replies.
'Of course! My friends. Together we will defeat the enemy!

 Thus the Seven Day War.
The last six and seventh days began.
