20 Evolution ①

Almost a month has passed since that fateful day.

Two major changes have come and gone.

The first was to level up; after two levels of good fight off intruders, my level had grown to 3.

I took control of my smartphone to swing BP and launched the "World Salvation Project" app.

 --?

An unfamiliar sentence was displayed on the screen.

'Your level is now 3. Please select a race to evolve to.''

 ...Evolution?

What's that? If you look closely, only the word 'Evolution' is blue.

Could it be? I tap the word "Evolution" written in blue.

Evolution: Demon Kings can evolve to different races after passing through a level. It's a good idea to have different families depending on the race you've evolved to. Most of them need to meet the requirements to evolve.

 I don't believe it!

I use my smartphone and move on.

Please select the race you want to be a part of from the following.
 Demon King.
 Demon King.
 Demon King (Demon race)
 Demon King (Elven)
 Demon King (Dwarf)
 Demon King (Slime)
 Demon King (beast species)
 Demon King (fairy species)
 Demon King (bloodsucker)
 Demon King (dragon species)
 The Devil King (Fallen Species)

All of them are demon kings. Also, demons, demons, elves, dragons, and fallen heavens are grayed out and cannot be chosen.

By the way, unlike evolution, no description is displayed this time.

 Interpreting Prieux........

Fortunately, this time, unlike the first 'Special Service☆', I was able to return to it by pressing the back button.

However, when you launch the "World Salvation Project" app, you'll always end up in the "Evolution" section. In other words, you can't swing BP, create, or breed unless you choose a race to evolve.

 That's a problem. If I can't create, I can't replenish my subordinates.

While I'm struggling, humanity continues to invade my dominion territory and defeat my subordinates. Even taking into account the stock of slime and rats, it's 12 hours of worrying.

Moreover, if it's like the last time I leveled up, my CP is at full strength. If it's the same as the previous law, my CP is recovering at a rate of 30 per hour, or one every two minutes. When I think about it, every minute is a second too short.

Nevertheless, I can't easily choose where to evolve.

Now, let's sort out the information we know.

First of all, the text that caught my attention in the explanation of evolution - different evolved races have different subtribes.

Military--the point at which you increase your dominion territory.

And I--the demon king and his subordinates can't go out of the control realm.

However, the image of monsters rampaging outside the dominion realm is frequently posted on the internet news.

In other words, the monsters filmed on that internet news are my subordinates?

I search for every single news and video of the monsters that run rampant outside of the dominant territory.

A pack of wolves attacking people. A pack of goblins attacking people. A pack of slimes attacking people.

Most of the monsters in the images and videos are of the same kind.

There were also a few exceptions to the rule, such as a mixed wolf and kobold herd.

If I had to guess, my guess would be that their military units are the same kind. In other words, a Demon King (a beast species) is a Wolf and a Kobold. Or, if they are Demon King (a slime species), can they have slime as their family members?

Where's the goblin? .........? I remember when I created the goblins, I remember the description.

Goblins - evil fairies. Believe it or not, goblins are probably part of the demon king's family.

After that, I continue to search for various articles and images of the supposed gentry, changing the conditions.

 --!

Two images hit me that I'm interested in.

One is an image of monsters of diverse species swarming and attacking people.

One is an image of a human leading a group of monsters of different species to attack people.

 What does that mean?

How do you turn diverse monsters into your family?

 Hmm. I don't know.

I'm going to check out the pack I have on hand.

Rats, slimes, wolves, bats, goblins, kobolds, orcs, and dark elves.

My evolved pack is a goblin archer. Goblin fighter. Black Wolves. Kobold Knight. Kobold Fighter.

Based on the current lineup, the best choice would be the Demon King (beast species). Next would be the Demon King (fairy species).

What else do you have for us to consider?

Where I can choose to evolve--race, dwarf species, slime species, beast species, fairy species, and bloodsucking species.

Where I can't choose to evolve - demon species, demon species, elf species, dragon species, fallen species.

--'Many races have to meet the requirements to evolve.'

So the races I can choose to evolve to are the ones I meet the criteria for.

The slime species and the beast species and the fairy species (i.e. goblins), is that conditional on me using those species a lot as my people?

Then what about dwarves and bloodsuckers?

Is it because the bloodsucking species have bats (i.e., bats) under their control?

What is more mysterious is the dwarf species. I have never created or seen a dwarf in my life.

Where did they meet the requirements?

Dwarves are those things. They're just a short, bearded, muscle-bound, short guy who doesn't get along with the elves, likes to drink, and is good at blacksmithing...?

 Good at blacksmithing?

 Blacksmithing, or smelting.

Is smithing status a requirement for evolving into a dwarf?

When you think about it ... a race that can't evolve, a race that can't evolve, a demon race is physical, a demon race is magical, and an elf is ... aggressive, but knowledge is a requirement for evolution?

Creation? It's the demon king's prerogative to stay?

Assuming this consideration is correct, is the sequence of races displayed when you choose to evolve also lawful?

The first four races--Ogre, Demon, Demon, Elf, and Dwarf species are the races whose status is specified in the evolutionary conditions.

The next race displayed - as a subordinate, a race of the same lineage as the race that was heavily used.

Even the order of the races, if it makes any sense, creates a tricky point.

The order in which the races of the same lineage as the race you used are slime, beast, fairy, vampire, dragon, and fallen species feels strange.

When you create an ensemble, the order that appears on your smartphone is slime, rat, bat, wolf, goblin, kobold, orc, and dark elf.

If the condition for bloodsucking species is heavy use of bats, then the order in which they appear should be slime species, bloodsucking species, beast species, and fairy species.

Isn't the condition that allows you to evolve into a bloodsucking species a bat? Or the mastermind behind the creation of the "World Salvation Project" app got the order wrong, or he was disciplined and cared about the order at first, but got bored halfway through, so the order doesn't mean anything.

If it's the latter, I'm screwed. I'd have spent my time contemplating something completely pointless.

 But if it's the former?

For example, if we exclude races because they are the initial races, the first four races (demons, demons, elves, and dwarves) have status as an evolutionary requirement, and the next three races (slime, beasts, and fairies) have an evolutionary requirement of having used them heavily as subordinates. The last three races (bloodsuckers, dragons, and fallen spirits) have specific evolutionary requirements.

I'm more comfortable with this idea.

Once I've cleared things up somewhat, I decided to think about the race I'd choose for my evolutionary destination in earnest.

Candidate 1: A slime species. A long time ago, the world was flooded with fantasy novels where slime was the demon king. Stories about slimes eventually becoming the most powerful species are plentiful in games and in the world of creation.
Nevertheless, I look at the slime that looks like a murky puddle in front of me.

Can it really become the strongest? At the very least, if only they were a little cuter looking.....

To begin with, for some reason, we are now required to increase our strength as soon as possible.

 Therefore, I reject the slime.

Candidate 2: Beast species. It's the most varied of the group we can currently create. Although I couldn't see it in the image, the half-pig, half-human Orcs are also likely to be a beast species. A wolf that excels in group combat and is also very cost effective. The Kobold, which can equip the items I've refined, which is also my greatest strength.
However, the fact that the following dark elves are stronger is a bit worrisome. Considering the new subordinates that will be created one after another in the future, won't this choice be a premature one?

Therefore, the beast species was also rejected.

After that, he repeatedly asked himself various questions and dismissed the species he evolved to.

 And the remaining species--.
