99 Current status and future strategy ①

 [Pseudo-peace] 21 hours left.

There are two things left to do to make the best use of the brief period of peace.

 1. restructure the area of control in light of its defense.

 2. devising a strategic policy for the future.

Other than that, after the [Pseudo Peace] is over, we have to confirm our newly acquired special abilities, and confirm the strength of our expected new battle force, Izayoi. I guess it will be something like this.

First of all, what I'll start on as soon as possible would be to rebuild it in consideration of the defense of the territory I control.

Currently, I control 37 control areas, of which 18 are all surrounded by my own control area... in other words, a safe control area that can't be attacked by the enemy.

I look down at the map where the information of the dominant area is dropped.

     Kahoku City.

   Sea●●●●●●●●●●●.
   Sea ______________.

 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
     _
 Nomi City ●●●●●●●
       Kanazawa City

 Komatsu City Hakusan City

There is no information on powerful humans or demon kings in and around the control area adjacent to Nonoichi, but there are reports of high level humans from Kanazawa City. The area around the dominion area adjacent to Kanazawa City is inhabited by high-level humans from Kanazawa City, but there are reports that they are moving to attack the dominion area in Hakusan City. I have information on the Demon King in Komatsu City, who controls over 20 control territories, but it's probably still a long way from clashing with my control territory. There is no small amount of information on high-level humans in and around Toyama Prefecture and the adjacent control territory, but since the backbone is Toyama City Hall, as long as we don't mess with them, there won't be many fierce people who will invade the control territory outside of the prefecture at will, as long as we don't mess with them. Kahoku City -- The situation in the northern part of the prefecture is dotted with Demon Kings who control three to five control areas, and are said to be engaged in a back-and-forth battle with humanity.

Based on this information, we need to reconstruct the control region.

The most alarming area is the southern area - the humans in Kanazawa City. Currently, due to the trauma of the annihilation of Lina and the rest of the heroic party, my control territory has the highest hazard rank and is being shunned, but if it's determined to be possible to capture it, even a little bit, they may rush in with their full force. Kanazawa City and the adjoining dominion area would be best served by setting plenty of traps from the first level and deploying high-ranking subordinates to let them know that there is no advantage to be had.

On the other hand, the area in the west, which is less dangerous, the area adjacent to Nonono City will be opened up to beginners as a place to earn money, and will be used to improve the level of their subordinates.

On the eastern side - the dominant area adjacent to Nanto City in the western part of Toyama Prefecture is expected to be invaded by medium-ranked humans and some demon kings. It would be a good idea to build this area as an 'earning ground' for medium-ranked people, giving them just the right amount of flavor so that high-ranked subordinates, mainly Izayoi, can earn their money.

Is it acceptable to think of the northern side - the dominant area adjacent to Kahoku City - as equivalent to the eastern side? As far as the threat level is concerned, this one is higher, so we should increase the amount of traps.

There are 19 areas of control to protect. It's going to be difficult to get all of them under my supervision and order them around.

All that's left is to enrich the safe control area as a living area.

I operated my smart phone and restructured the control area in accordance with the policy I had set.

 [Pseudo-peace] 12 hours left.

After I finish rebuilding the area of control, I devise a strategic plan for the future.

'Canon! Lina!

The plan in my mind was already established to a certain extent, but I think it's necessary to listen to other people's opinions. I'm going to call up two people under my command who can offer flexible advice.

'Yes.'
What?

Kanon and Lina come running up to me. I unfold the map between them.

'We will now devise a strategic plan for the future.
Oh? You're a very brave soldier, aren't you?
Yes, sir.

They look down at the map unfolded in front of them with interest.

'First, I'm going to propose three plans for you.

I hold up three fingers. A free discussion would take too long. The discussion will go more smoothly if we have some options in mind from the start.

'The first is to expand our power to the north. The final goal of this plan would be to control the Noto Peninsula.
The second is to expand our influence to the south. The final goal of this plan is to control the entire city of Kanazawa.
The third goal is to expand their influence to the west. The final goal of this plan will be to control the city of Nonoichi and Nomi-gun.

I mark on the map the north side as 1) to the north, 2) to the south, and 3) to the west.

I see. I support the plan to expand our forces in the north.
"--! North..... I, for one, support the plan to expand our forces to the west.

Kanon points to Kahoku City on the map with a smug look on his face, and Lina points to Nonoka City on the map with a cloudy expression.

'I see. That's a reasonable opinion. Plan 2--Control of Kanazawa City is a self-congratulatory plan that emphasizes appearance. There's little return on the risk, so I'll just reject it.

I scribble an X on top of the letter (2) on the map.

'First, canon. Tell me why you chose (1).

'Yes. Let's see, as you can see from the situation in this controlled territory, we won't be invaded from the controlled territory that faces the sea.

Kanon begins to express his thoughts while pointing out the area of control that faces the sea.

If that's the case, then controlling the northern side - the Noto Peninsula will eventually lead to securing a large number of safe areas of control. In the future, I advise you that it is best to rule Kahoku City, Nanao City, Suzu City and the northern part of the prefecture as your dominant territory.

Kanon must be very confident in his opinion. His words are full of confidence.

'Although I don't approve of you as a general counsel I don't see any holes in Kanon's opinion.
What? You don't mind if I get a normal compliment, do you?
Lina. Please tell me why you chose #3.

I ignore the canon that puffs out my cheeks and wave the conversation to Lina.

'Yeah, right. My thoughts are the same as Kanon's. Expand the area of control that faces the sea. The existence of powerful demon kings and humanity is not confirmed in Nonoichi City and Nomi County. Considering the degree of difficulty, it's best to proceed from the west side of the city.
Objection!

In the middle of Lina's anxious explanation, Kanon loudly objects. I allow Kanon, who has a smug look on his face as he points at Lina, to speak.

''Hmph. Lina-san, you're naive...only when you read the development of two or three moves ahead of time can you be a true strategist and--
Canon. Cut the crap, just get to the point.
'Yes. Let's see........Lina's opinion. To be precise, the plan (3) that Sion-san presented has two pitfalls: one, if you stimulate Nonoichi City and Nomi County, you will stimulate the human race that is trying to invade the territory controlled by Hakusan City; two, Nomi County is adjacent to Komatsu City; and three, Nomi County has a strong demon king in Komatsu City. There is a powerful demon king in Komatsu City. Depending on the situation, there is a danger of a three-point attack from Kahoku City, Toyama Prefecture, and Komatsu City.

Canon explains with a smug look on his face as he holds up one finger at a time.

'I find Kanon's attitude irritating, but it's a good argument,'
''So, one word more--Cah!''

While rolling up my skirt, I check on Lina with Kanon, who is making a lot of noise.

Although I don't agree with Kanon's tone and attitude at all, I was of the same opinion as Kanon. In my mind, I had decided on plan 1 from the beginning, and this discussion was an answer to that question, so to speak.

However, what I was concerned about was Lina's expression.

Lina, I agree with Kanon's idea. I agree with Kanon's idea, but........is there something about Lina that's tripping you up?
No, I'm not saying that...

 I question Lina.

Hmm? What's going on? Is there any reason to prioritize the invasion of Nonoichi ... or to hesitate ... to invade the north of the province?

Lina's expression clouded over as she uttered the words "invasion of the north of the province".

''No, no. It's not. If Theon thinks the same as canon, then I have nothing to say. I'm Sion's subordinate........ I will obey Theon's orders.

Lina looked down at the beginning as she replied, but finally looked me in the eye and answered emphatically.

''I see. Then our goal from now on will be to control the northern part of the prefecture--the Noto Peninsula.
Yes?
Yes, sir.

I'm going to declare a strategic direction for the future as a sign of confirmation.

Now that we've decided on a strategic direction for the future, I have one more thing I need to ask of you two.
Yes?
What?

I gave important instructions to Kanon and Lina, who were tilting their heads in the air, that would affect my future power.
