232 Army training

I received word that all the important supplies had been brought in, so I executed the Creation of Dominion Territory. I invited Kotetsu into my room and was listening to the response of the Kanazawa Liberation Army.

''So, how was the Kanazawa Liberation Army?
''That's right.... Your skill level was better than the humans in Suzu City, wasn't it?
How strong is the individual?
It's hard to say. The humans we encountered were quite tired. Judging only by the battle we just witnessed, they are not a threat, but if they are at their best, they may be a bit of a problem.
Well..... By the way, do you have any advice for me from Kotetsu?
If there are more large scale battles in the future like the one I just mentioned, I advise you to rethink your fighting style." "Fighting style?
The Astor Empire's current fighting style is to rely on individual strength. I believe Master Theon understands that even if I did not advise you to do so, but in a group fight, the most important thing is the skill of coordination. And...
The presence of a commander.

I say the words that Kotetsu will continue before I do.

"As you wish. As I said before, I could take command of it, but I'm only an amateur.
They're all amateurs when it comes to that.
And they're all run by people who don't even speak English.
''Well there's room for improvement there.
If there are going to be more large-scale battles like the one I just mentioned, then it will be imperative to train our commanders.
We'll think of something. Sorry for calling you out. You can go home. Get some rest.

While watching Kotetsu's back as he left the room, I thought about what he advised me to do.

 Developing a commander.....

I think I understand the importance of commanders.

And I also understand who is most suitable for a commander.

The most suitable person for a commander is - I am the Demon King.

Although it's a one-way street, it has the ability to communicate without being confined to distance, and it can understand the actions of its subordinates from a bird's eye view through a smartphone. And - I have the power to give compulsory orders to all my subordinates.

However, the situation in which a commander is needed is when a large-scale battle occurs. Currently, with the exception of exceptional circumstances such as the Declaration of War, the only time a large-scale battle occurs is when they launch the Ruling.

And while I am ruling, I, as the Demon King, cannot participate in the battle.

I can check the battle situation on my smartphone and give orders individually, but it is impossible for us to fight together and give orders while judging the atmosphere of the scene.

If possible, I'd like to select a commander from among those who are fighting on the front lines. The candidates for this would be the military personnel appointed to the top brass.

Those in the household who were in charge had an important role to play.

That role was - to invade the territory they controlled.

There were two ways to expand the Astor Empire. The invasion of the dominion territory ruled by the Demon King and the "rule" of the land ruled by humanity.

The invasion of the dominion territory is a matter of individual strength, while the Ruling is a matter of strength in numbers.

The power of the individual to invade the dominant realm and the power of numbers to lead an army - is it possible to reconcile the two?

I sort through the clutter of thoughts in my head.

'I could take command, but I'm only an amateur.'

I ruminate over what Kotetsu said earlier.

Is there anyone in modern Japan who can lead the war effort in the first place?

A high-ranking SDF? However, the style of war has changed. The power that is the main focus of the conflict between the Demon King (Chaos) and humanity (Lowe) - is a special ability. It's not a weapon such as guns or tanks. You may be able to make use of the experience (know-how) you've gained in the past, but the nature of warfare has changed fundamentally.

There may be various tactical theories and military science, but they are all theories that are theoretical.

 ........Theoretical?

Then isn't my experience with the game and knowledge of the books on which I base my actions the same theoretical argument?

They are all amateurs, after all. So is it best for me to act on the knowledge I have - the game and the books - then?

The knowledge that can be used in this case - a simulation game.

Japan's Warring States period, or China's Warring States period. Or perhaps it's best to apply it to the knowledge of simulations based on the war stories of a fictional world.

For example, one game has you leading an army of over 100,000 troops to wage war against an enemy nation. However, the player does not give orders to 100,000 soldiers. The player only gives orders to the warlord who commands the soldiers - the commander.

Even if a player uses more than 10,000 warriors to rule, he does not have to command all 10,000 warriors; if he divides the 10,000 warriors into 1,000 warriors each and deploys them to the commander-in-chief's unit, he can only command 10 warriors.

Up until now, the battle was only a general order to 'attack' and 'endure'. However, placing a commander on the team greatly expands the range of orders that can be given.

If you're going to make the commander a subordinate of the officers, the orders you give should be simple.

This is why it's so important to be able to give simple orders such as 'Charge', 'Attack', 'Defense', 'Standby', 'Movement', 'Relief' and 'Retreat'.

With this level of simple orders, the executives would be able to carry out the orders.

The executives to be entrusted with commanding officers are - Lina, Kotetsu, Takaharu, Sarah, Hibiki, Chloe, Leila, Iain, Flora, and Red.

Blue should be incorporated into Lina's squad, Setanta into Kotetsu's squad, Cain into Sarah's squad, Abel into Hibiki's squad, Daquel and Kureha into Chloe's squad, and Noir and Rouge into Red's squad.

The first squad, the squad that will be the tank to catch the enemy's attack - Hibiki and Iron's squad.

The second line, the squad that will attack the enemy - the squad of Lina, Kotetsu, Takaharu and Red.

The third line, the unit that will attack the enemy from a distance -- Sarah, Chloe, Leila and Flora's unit.

In my mind, I visualize the battlefield where the troops led by the executives are developing, and move the troops around like a chess game.

 That's not good.........

The next problem to be solved is - language.

The troops of Iron, Red, Chloe, Leila and Flora will have no problem deploying their own kind's troops, but that's not possible for former demon kings and human leaders.

The solution is to deploy a second-in-command who will also serve as an interpreter.

I had to wrack my brain for solutions to the next problem.
