22 Two incidents

Five people were gathered in the Round Table Conference Room of the Adventurer's Guild in the Free Trade City.
The light source of the fire magic stone hanging in the sky illuminated every corner of the dimly lit room.
There wasn't a single extravagant decoration, but those present could tell that the quality of the furniture and furnishings were not low. The most eye-catching piece of furniture was a table made of wood from a black tree that lives in a jet black forest. The deep scent and the high quality color of the wood were a visual and olfactory delight at the same time.
Nigurd put his elbows down on the table and with a thump, the eyes of the five participants met.

'So, what is it you wanted me to see you about? I'm still busy with this, make it quick, please.
This was initiated by Forn Ronde Valois, one of the two great aristocrats and a great merchant who controls the commerce of the trading city. A young man with calm eyes, he replaced his late father as head of the Valois family at the age of thirty-four.

I'm also busy - I've never been busy, but I like to devote myself to my hobbies. "I'm also busy - I'm never busy, but I like to pursue my hobbies.
It was Ranweil, the head of the Mages' Guild, the Guild President, who said this. The man, now in his early years, had a beard the size of a dwarf's and was dressed in the typical wizard's attire, hat and robes.

One of the eight seats was occupied by the guild leader, Nigrud, and next to him sat Irina, who served as his assistant. Originally, Irina should have been held back behind the guild leader, but right now there was an empty seat, so she was sitting there by the guild leader's arrangement.
And next to her, Krista, who was an A-class adventurer and had two names, was sitting next to her. Originally, this meeting room was a place where the two major nobles and the heads of the six guilds would sit and decide the policies of the city in an emergency situation, and there was no place for Krista or Irina to sit, but this was not a nigurd who cared about such details. And it was also because he was fully aware that Forn and Ranweil were people who valued practicality more than formality, and that was why he had made this arrangement.
In the first place, neither the Six Guilds nor the two great nobles would be together to discuss things at the same time, which was almost non-existent now. It would be strange to worry about it.

''Ah, I'll be brief about my business. One thing I've been talking to you about since the other day is the strange situation in the forest--''
Forn responded to the Guild Chief's words.

'If that's the case, haven't you already taken steps? You may use my knights in battle. And if I move to defend the city, Eleonora will move as well. That woman - excuse me, Eleonora-dono will also move the Magic Knights (Magic Knights) that I brought from the King's Capital, and if I estimate the strength of the Adventurer's Guild, I don't think it will be a problem?
That was a very good argument.
Forn has not cut corners in the city's security. In an emergency, it could bring in from seven hundred to up to over a thousand fighting professionals, and there are more than a hundred professionals in the Adventurer's Guild. Of course, there are more adventurers who are not veterans and who are capable of fighting, and if Eleonora also moved, their total strength would be considerable.
Although they are hateful, the Magic Knights (Magic Knights), who have received special training in the royal capital, are strong. Seeking fame and gathering support from the citizens, Eleonora would surely move to gather support from the citizens, and if that was the case, it should be easy to put down a demon uprising or something like that.

''Of course, we'll do our best to solve the problem. But this time we still don't know the detailed cause of the problem - we initially thought that the demon pool (manacrene) was the cause, but that was denied by Lord Ranweil.
 Nigrud says gravely.
At those words, Forn's gaze went to Ranweil.

'Could you please explain?'
At Forn's words, Ranweil's mouth moved in relief.

'Ah, well, putting technicalities aside, to begin with, there is a cycle to the occurrence of a magnesium pool (manacrine). It's a good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for, because it's a good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for, because it's a good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for. There are many other factors, such as the quality of the mana from the twin moons, but that's okay for now - and our guild has collected statistics on the locations and cycles of the mana kleene. The conclusion is that it's too fast. It will be at least fifty-six years before this magma chamber is ready.
In one breath, Ranweil sat down to explain that he was, ah, tired.
If he and Ranweil are right, he's saying that it's different because it's too early in the season for a mass outbreak of demons associated with the outbreak of demon pools (manacrene).

If it was just a demon that was being chased out of the realm, we wouldn't be so alarmed. However, in the scouts' stories, there were reports of multiple demons starting to act as a group, and so on. This is an unprecedented and unusual situation. We, the Adventurer's Guild, recognize this as an emergency and believe that the entire city should unite to intercept it.
 Irina told her seriously.
 Nigrud also nodded in response.

'At the moment, Lord Ranweil - do you have any idea what the cause of this commotion is?
Nigrud asked, but Ranweil shook his head.

I'm not sure if it's just a mass outbreak of demons, but as far as the latter is concerned, I have no idea. But I have no idea about the latter. I'm not sure if the demons are intelligent unless they live for many years and evolve to become demons. If they act as a group, it will depend on the individual's race. The ogre is not followed by a kobold.

What's that?
 Forn asked.

'You know, Lord Forn, that the ancient demons have the power to control and obey demons. The ancient demons have the power to control and subdue demons. That may make sense in a legend, but it's not very realistic.
 Forn nodded at Ranwald's words.
 Naturally.
Such a rare entity, it was doubtful that it even existed.
There, the words were cut off and there was silence.
Eventually, Forn removed the finger he had placed on his forehead and opened his mouth again.

'Understood, sir. I assure you that we will take the utmost precaution.'
 Nigrud smiled with satisfaction.
Then - and then - he interjected.

'I'll cut to the chase.'
Forn gave him a quizzical look.
After all, he said, the city's crisis was not the main issue.
Meeting Nigrud's gaze, Krista stood up.

''Class A adventurer, I'm Ice Emperor Krista Niese Bran Richter. I will not speak here as a nobleman, but as an adventurer who has two names in the A class. The other day, I met a girl on a quest--
The people here already knew that Krista was on a request and that it was a trap for the nobles.
That's why they were listening with their gazes drawn together to see what Krista was planning to tell them.

''--That girl had a tremendous amount of ability.
Forn and Ranvelt twisted their heads at the abstracted word.

'Outrageous, what do you mean?'
 Forn asks.

'Even I can't accurately measure your abilities because of the magnitude of your power. There are too many differences between us. But if I were to use a simple metaphor, I would say that if I were to challenge the girl to a fight with a hundred men, she would most certainly suffer defeat.

What?
 Forn made a barefaced noise.
 It's not unreasonable.
An adventurer with an A-class and two names is said to be comparable to a battalion of Magic Knights by itself. That was exactly what it meant to be a one-horse-strong force.
A hundred such people, that would be comparable to an army of one hundred thousand.

''In my name, this is no joke. Perhaps we will be defeated in less than a minute. And such is my intuition, the guild leader and Lord Irina agree with me.

''I can't believe this is all of a sudden........''
Lanvalt is only the head of the Mage Guild, and he knows the magic of the Ice Emperor. It's not just a matter of time before you'll be able to get your hands on it. It's a very good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for.
But I don't think the person in question would lie to his own name.
I'm sure you'll be happy to know that I'm not the only one.
I'm sure you'll be able to find the right one.
And that was something Forn agreed with.

'She always said she was half a man. And her followers said the other half was a dragon. It's hard to believe, but that part of the dragon is better than the four great dragons.

That's not exactly...
Forn said dumbly, unable to digest Krista's words.

''Of course I'm not asking you to believe everything. But there is the fact that she has defeated Duran. In addition, she is very friendly to us humans. As long as she doesn't threaten us with force or is disrespectful, she'll treat us with compassion. With that kind of presence, I hope you'll cut back on the unnecessary messing around and meddling, that's the main issue here.
Krista says in a breath and takes a seat.

'Where is your evidence that this Nachtas thing is favourable? How do you know it's not dangerous?
Forn turned his sharp gaze on Krista. It seemed like the intimidation of a warrior.
Krista met his gaze head-on and opened her mouth.

''I was broken by Duran and held captive, defenseless. But Lord Nacht didn't take us for himself and saved the slaves who would have been less worthy of survival. Not only that, as she was in a position to demand a large sum of money in return, she wanted us to promise to help her save slaves reintegrate them into society. The only other thing we did was to ask her to gather information. I have no doubt that she is a good human being.
Yes, from the side, Nacht's actions are saint-level good deeds.
Essentially, there is no future for these women once they have been kidnapped by bandits. In addition to the reputational damage, once these women left their villages and homes, they are penniless and are equivalent to being thrown into an unknown land. There is nothing they can do except sell themselves to survive their hunger. Helping these women, does not mean rescuing them from the cave.
You can only say that you have helped them if you have taken care of them until they become self-employed and can live on their own.
Krista doesn't know of anyone who would ask someone to do that, even if they had to use a reward. The person who helped with the request can also receive some guarantee from the guild, but it is basically not possible for Krista to do anything herself. In fact, it's not possible to do anything. The reason for this is that the entire adventuring community will make the selfish mistake of providing protection to their rescuers. Unless it was a special reward, it sounded awful, but it was hard to save them.

'Besides, just because it's dangerous doesn't mean there's nothing we can do about it.
Yes, even from Krista's point of view, Nacht is an anomaly. In the end, it is impossible to appeal to him by force. If that were to happen, it would only be the worst thing that could happen.

''That's why we should treat him with courtesy as well.
 The air was heavy.

'Lord Nacht is staying at the Little Bird Pavilion at dusk. I'm not going to be able to get it right. In that sense, I would like to borrow Lord Forn's help.
 Nigrud said.
Ranwald, who had been deep in thought in the silence, laughed loudly.

'Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Well, there was such a being! I understand. I will pay the greatest respect to your friend here at Ranwald. And I hope you don't mind if I ask you a few questions about your magic. I'm intrigued!

And please don't be rude.
 Irina says in a hurry.

'Mmm,'
Ranwald smiled like a child and nodded.

--I understand, I also do the best I can----!
For some reason, the words stopped there.
To be precise, I was unable to speak in the wave of rage that passed through me.
The wind blew and I felt as if the earth had shaken.
I looked fearfully at the wooden floor and even checked to see if the ground was there.
Even Forn, an amateur in combat, was able to recognize the signs.

Not to mention, Nigurd, Irina, Krista, and Ranweil had directly felt something similar to that dragon's roar on their skin.

 It was Krista who muttered.
There was no way this kind of sign could be emitted by anyone other than that Guru.

''I have a bad feeling about this, Guild leader--''

When I say no, I mean, I have to figure out what the hell happened.
And before Nigrud could move, the anomaly was floating in the sky.

''What the hell was that...!
It was a cloud, a long, slender dragon that arose from somewhere, entangled in it.
The sound of the air being crushed could be heard over and over again.

What is that? Is it magic.........!
Only Ranwald was the only one who said that with a smile.
Eventually, the dragon took aim and crashed.
A roar that made their ears burst.
 Soon, the area was silent.
Everyone could not help but be stunned.
They didn't even want to admit that the situation with the dragon falling was real.
I'm sure you'll be able to find the right one. I'm sure that this is the power that Nacht has given us.

You will be able to see that it's a good idea. She considers people as her own kind and is basically mild-mannered.
Krista, Ranweil, and Irina would know that it looked like a harsh sanction, but not on a large scale.
The amount of magic power felt and the range of effects it exerted were far too different.
Precise, that's exactly what magic power control is capable of, to the point where it seems impossible for a human to do so.
You're going to be able to have a look at your own personal computer and you're going to be able to have a look at your own personal computer.

I'm sure you'll be able to find out what happened when you look at the mansion that was damaged.

''We understand. I promise to take the utmost care.''
Forn had no choice but to say so.
You've got a lot of bad stuff in your stomach, Forn thought, and his head almost hurt.
